| My wife and I enjoyed a 5 night stay. Although we decided this wouldn't be our favorite island, this definitely was a great place to stay. We thought we received excellent value. Nice pool and restaurant...We frequently ate at the shopping center only about a mile away. Room was large as was the lanai (about 10x10). Great sunset views off the deck. They do charge for self-parking and it is a little bit of a walk, but not too bad.

| The hotel is beautiful as it is situated up on the ridge of the blue Pacific Ocean. There is much to do if you are traveling with children. They will enjoy the huge water slide, the waterfalls, and the "beach like" sand area. Only complaint is housekeeping. Rooms were usually not cleaned until late afternoon, (often times at 4:00 p.m.). Also, you will need a car if you want to do any other activities other than swim or play tennis at the hotel. Overall, my son and I enjoyed ourselves-after all it is Hawaii!!

| If you are a couple under 35 with no children, this is NOT the hotel for you. The location of the place, on a nice shore overlooking the Pacific, is far away from anything. The pool is really nice but it's filled by histerical kids so it's tough to get relaxed! The hotel has a shuttle that leaves three times a day to take you to Kailua Kona, the closest town to the hotel (it takes the tram over 40minutes to get there!). As you are stucked in the middle of nowhere, the hotel raises the prices of the food to unbearable prices. One of its restaurants, Kai, has an extremely expensive menu with entrees that range from $30 to 45! Thank goodness we weren't a family of four! Three nights a week, you have Luau at the hotel. The price is not as expensive as other Luau's I've been (around $75.00) and the show is quite good... but the venue is hideous! They use the convention center to do the show and, let me tell you, you feel as if you were crashing someone's wedding. Then they let you out for a fire show (by the toilets!!) We have to confessed that we were shocked by the quality of the hotel. Sheraton uses a new slogan "When you are here, you are family." Well my dears, if this is the way you treat your family -trying to extract every little penny of their pockets-, I would prefer to be an orphan!

| This is a wonderful hotel with a great location. Close to a shopping area with all necesseties, but downtown Kona (about a 10 minute drive north) is where to go for food and shopping. If you like Sushi try "Fujimamas" in downtown. We were very impressed with the staff of the hotel and the location. The pool never got over crowded. Not too many kids, a great place for couples. The restaraunt "Kai" at the Hotel is very pricey and not at all worth it. Food is OK, but I recommend only eating there if that is the last resort. Stock up on water and snacks at the shopping center up the road to avoid heavy charges for in room water and dining. Small fridge in all rooms. We will stay here again, if of course we dont fall in love with Kauai next time!

| Wow - what a great place!! Especially if you have kids - the pool slide is fun for kids and adults. Plenty of quiet time after pool closes at 8, georgous ocean view right from the pool area. It has a walkway that you can walk with tiki torches lit, the moon on the water, listening to the waves on the rocks below. The lobby is incredible - no doors no windows - its just open - all the time. The only thing we didn't do was swim with the Manta Rays. We only found out about it on our second to last day and then it was too late to make the reservations. You can watch them from a large balcony that shines a light on them and you can see them feeding. It was great.

| Walls are too thin (could hear the occupants next room over snoring with TV blarring). I purposely didn't bring any soap products (shampoo, conditioners) for ease of travel, the service maids did leave any of these product until the last day. Complimentary newspapers weren't delivered at all. The service at the Crystal Blue Lounge were not to standard, it took 45 minutes to serve an appetizer (Beef Satay), the waitress did not even attempt to serve us. We had to get up and walk to the bar just to order a beer and a glass of iced tea. This happened twice during my stay.

| The Sheraton Keauhou Bay is a beuatiful place to stay. There really is something for everyone. It is nice to stay a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of Kona but still just a few minutes from all the action. The pool here is to die for and big enough (it's huge) that it never feels crowded. The whole family loved the water slide. The entire staff was friendly and efficient. The view is breath-taking! You will never want to go home!

| We paid for the upgraded ocean front room. The location, room, concierge, etc. were top notch. We watched sunsets and a group of dolphins from our hotel room. Per other reviews the on hotel dining is expensive. I'd recommend stopping at the Kona Walmart and picking up water, soda, snacks, etc. to cut down on expenses. Our room had an empty mini refrigerator which we used to keep our sodas cold. If you are looking for luxury at a reasonable price, you can't go wrong with the SheratonKeauhou

| Overall, my wife and I were very happy with the Sheraton. Went for a belated honeymoon, and although they do cater to kids to an extent, we still found it to be a relatively quiet, romantic place. Nice that it's a bit off the beaten path also (i.e., not in the heart of the tourist district in Kona). Decent breakfast buffet, great pool, good luau, slightly clueless concierge. All in all, I'd happily go back.

They also loved doing the activities at the Keiki Club when mom and dad went to play golf. Only complaint is that a single room for two adults and two kids is pretty cramped.

| The hotel was so nice concidering the great rate we were offered. They put on a very fun luau that didn't a great job of involving the audience, my wife was pulled up to the front to be taught to hula. The pools were gorgeous and we designed. We loved playing under the artificial waterfall and taking pictures in front of it, they also had a water slide a small lazy river and a shallow beach play area in the pool for kids. The Mai Tai reception was nice, we don't drink alcohol but the bartender made us three different fruit juices in a row, we just asked him to surprise us. We loved the breakfast buffet, they had tons of really great food, a nice spread and selection, it really helped up fuel up for our day. The very best quality of the hotel by far was the conciere service!! The conciere was so helpful and the always had at least two people working so we never had to wait to speak to one and they never made us feel like we need to rush or that they were too busy for us. The conciere gave us great driving directions to anywhere we wanted to go and gave us specific things to do and places to eat. They would plan out a whole day for us and we would carry out the plan to the letter and then we'd have a wonderful day!

This was our first trip to the Big Island and we would definitely go back and stay at the Sheraton. It was close and convenient to everything. The room had a great view so we could watch the luau without leaving our room. The room came equiped with a small fridge so we stocked it with munchies for the night. The parking lot was well lit which was important for security. The garden grounds were very lovely and the little church was charming, not to mention the huge pool area. The resort is relaxing and calming. Go to this hotel!

| This was one of the most relaxing trips I've ever had. The pool was wonderful with a great waterslide for the kids AND the adults. My husband and I loved the comfortable bed. The room was spacious and had a fairly large patio overlooking the ocean with a table and chairs. I recommend the couples massage on the private patio at sunset. Although, I had a facial after the massage, and I don't recommend that. The restaurant, Kai, had a great breakfast buffet. I don't recommend their dinner.

A hotel that makes you pay selfpark your car in a lot that anybody from outside the hotel can come in and park for free is less than honest in my opinion! The same goes for the local bar... The location is great...If you can dodge all the traps! Then again who wants to do that ?

| Hotel is beautiful, built on lava rock the gardens are a combination of local plants and the lava rock. It is quiet and was not crowded at all when we visited in April. Pool is enormous, great for families, does not get any deeper that 3 or 4 ft in any area of the pool, only setback is that it closes early, it has a sand bottom pool great for small children. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Beds are very comfortable, I usually cannot sleep the first night at a hotel, but this time I did. I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast is ok, only thing against it is that the buffet is the same every day, fruit, hotcakes or French toast, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, rice and miso soup. But you can order a la carte also, expect higher end prices. Service in the Kai restaurant is not all that great, a gracious, helpful and friendly server was the exception. Service overall could be better, But this hotel is a great place to stay at Kona, I recommend it fully. It is about a 15-20 minute drive from Kona not due to the distance but more due to the 25 mile per hour speed limit on most of the roads. I would definitely go back.

Everything is close and make sure to check out the Marina first before booking any sport involving the water. It's close by and really convenient for snorkle trips, kayak rental etc. Choose the breakfast option - there is no other place to go close by and you will pay 3 times as much if you order from the menu.

The rooms were comfortable but a little small for a family of 4. But the service was great. The check in was easy, restaurant was good, and the pool personnel were very friendly.
