Great Value! You must check this place out when you go to to Oahu. The only problem that we had is that our room did not have the full kitchen amenities. We thought our kitchen would have a stove and an oven since it was called a studio room. Don't be deceived. Other than that, this is a great room. It is nicely decorated and you have a great view of the city.

The Hotel was OK, but for the money, and name attached, I expected the Hotel and rooms to be a little nicer. You could here people walking and talking down the halls, and you could here the traffic pretty clearly even with the air conditioner on. Considering how Hot it was, it was inconvenient for the pool to close at sunset.

We were satisfied overall with this hotel. No restaurant in the hotel but nearby dining spots made this no problem. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful and pleasant. High-speed internet stations are on the mezzanine. The elevators were slow. We will stay in this hotel again when we return to Oahu. Michigan

we just came back two days ago from our wedding/honeymoon in hawaii and it was marvelous but the hotel put a little bit of a damper on things for us. After reading numerous reviews, we chose this hotel over several others and I must say we were quite disppointed. In fact, when we arrived I thought we were at the wrong place! The lobby was dull and boring; the room was small and not on the top floors as promised; the bed was far from a queen - my husband is 6 feet 4 inches tall and I'm 5 feet 8 and we could barely fit! The bathroom walls were mildewy and smelled stale. Service was good - as in the staff smiled at you endlessly but seemed to have very little to offer in terms of recommendations or information. The location was GREAT and if you are looking to spend very little time in your room (whihc we did) this is a great place for the money. But next time we go for our anniversary - we will most definitely NOT stay at the outrigger luana waikiki.

We really liked the Outrigger Luana Waikiki. The hotel was very clean. The location was also very nice because it was not right in the heart of the Waikiki strip, so it was quieter and cleaner. Good restaurants within a close walk. Beach access also very close. Good family hotel.

The hotel has no restaurant so if you are planning to eat out all the time, this is a good basic hotel on the western edge of Waikiki. My room had a very nice view of Fort DeRussy Park but I could not use the balcony very much due to the noise of the air conditioners on the roof of the building below. The recently remodeled room was very nice. The in-room safe was very easy to use and held a small laptop computer. The staff were wonderful.

The room was small but comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Our suite had a kitchen but no microwave or stove. Bathroom was small. Views were not really impressive but nothing to complain either. It is 3 blocks away from the beach which makes it a long walk and it sits on the farthest end of Waikiki. There is an expedia service booth in the lobby and they make arrangements for activities which is very useful. Instead of making a slew of phonecalls all it takes is a punch of a phone button to book activities. Overall this is a very nice place to stay comfortably for a small family that is planning to spend plenty of time outdoors. If you are looking for a place to lie down and relax a few days staying indoors this is not the best of the places.

Not super fancy but the rooms were clean and well laid out for a family. Mini-suite rooms with new kitchens, full size microwave, stove and fridge made it easy to store food. Pool is nothing special but beach is a block away across the Ft. DeRussy Lawn. Close to shopping, food and the beach.

This Hotel was great. The people were so friendly and helpful. The view from the balcony was peaceful and amazing. We overlooked the Fort Drussey park and just beyond the GREEN park we could see the ocean. This hotel is located right at the beginning of Waikiki. We walked the strip every night. Not just to work off the extra calories from a fun filled day, but also to see all the excitement on Waikiki. Not a moment wasted. When we go back, I will stay at this Hotel.

Overall, the hotel was a good place for an overnight stay while enroute to another island. The frustration came when we couldn't reach the underground garage from what appeared to be only 1 of 3 working elevators. We eventually had to walk outside the hotel and down the ramp to reach the car.

This was our first trip to Hawaii and it was our honeymoon. I recommend this location for first time visitors because you have access to much of what Honolulu has to offer. The beach is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. Wished that a microwave was included (you can pay $30/day to rent one). There were plenty of shops and restaraunts in the area. Recommend a rental car if you want to visit the other parts of the island, but you can find daily excursion trips that will pick you up near the hotel. It can get kind of crowded in Waikiki, but you are only minutes away from waterfalls and beaches that offer some seclusion.

The stay began with no on-site parking available at that time, so we had to use a satellite lot a few blocks away (changed to on-site a few days later after loudly complaining). The location of this recently renovated condo property was good, being adjacent to Fort DeRussy and near the beach. The lack of on site food and beverage service, lack of high speed Internet access in guestrooms, as well as a lack of a hot tub were disappointing. Rooms were satifactory in their furnishings, with the large TV a plus. The bathroom was extremely small. Don't expect to see me there again.

This hotel was awesome! It was very clean, comfortable and cozy. The 2 things I disliked was the air-conditioner made a loud sound everytime it would turn back on and the back up parking lot was not convenient when you visit on a rainy season and you have a baby. Other than that, I would recommend it to anyone and I would definitely consider another stay!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Outrigger Luana Waikiki. Location was good. The underground parking was a bit tight. The rooms, and all common areas were very nice and clean. Small pool, but nice and clean. Convenient grilling area and very nice exercise room. Excellent VALUE (without sacrificing location, cleanliness or a sense of being safe). I would stay there in the future (if the prices stayed in-line). Aloah...

This hotel rules. It is so close to some delicious restaurants like Fridays (awesome!!!!!) and Cheeseburger in Paradise, Tony Roma's, Planet Hollywood, and like infinity other restaurants. It is walking distance from the beach, which is totally killer! The price of this hotel is the cheapest 3.5 star hotel in Waikiki. You will not be disappointed. There is a killer little store right in the hotel lobby, plus two convenience stores right across the street. The Expedia Travel desk (located right at the hotel) will help you book your sightseeing tours and fishing trips. If I go back to Waikiki, I will stay here, for sure, for sure.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in April of 2005 and really enjoyed it. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and up-to-date. The location is great with access to everything in Waikiki within walking distance. If you want to see other parts of the island, the bus is reliable and readily available. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. No restaurant in the hotel but that was okay with us. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. If you have a car, the $12 per day extra fee to park at the hotel is worth the money. Enjoy the pool and your stay here.
