The rooms were larger than expected, the free breakfast was wonderful and the extra activities kept the kids busy. The only drawback with this hotel is the beach access. You have to walk over two hotels and through their property and down very steep stairs. Makes it a real adventure getting to the water. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.

I would visit this hotel again. It has been remodeled and was very clean. My kids had a blast and enjoyed the activities, ping-pong, putting green, swimming pool... It is about a 20 minute walk to the pier which is awesome for part of a morning work out routine. We liked being a bit away from the the crowds at the pier and would stay here again. We also discovered their sister hotel in Avila Beach.

we had a nice stay. If I went back again I would want a room with an ocean view. The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and the toiletries great! The pool was a little small but the ocean view was amazing. Watched dolphins ride the waves and pelicans fly by. All is all not a bad place to stay.

We loved the hotel. Having two full bedrooms and baths was great. There is plenty to do and see from the hotel. The walls are thin and we had trouble every night with noise overhead. We'll go back but next time we will stay upstairs.

When traveling from the bay area to southern California, this is a great hotel to break up the drive. The hotel and service was excellent. The kids loved the game board at the hotel and the easy walk to the beach. The breakfast that the hotel offers is great. You must try the waffles.

We were lucky to get a hotel that was nice and clean, spotless, well maintained and has a great staff that is friendly, courteous and gives great immediate service when ever requested. Good price compared with the other hotels at Pismo. We stayed 4 nights. On my last several trips I ended up with hotels that needed alot of cleaning and maintenance. They were disgusting. Not this one. The room was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with 2 queens and one king. A 26" TV in each room. A small refrigerator, standard microwave oven and coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board in the master bedroom. Very comfortable except they need to install air conditioners and is the only reason I gave it a 4 for comfort. I had to keep the windows open all of the time and the ceiling fans going. Other than that I really liked this hotel. They cant do much about rude guests slamming doors and jumping on the floor and that was the only noise I experienced there. Good continental breakfast. Small workout room, hot pool and swimming pool. Is about 2 miles from the pismo pier. The main attraction for us was the ATV rentals at the sand dunes in Oceano.

Our room was on the highway side, but as another reviewer mentioned, the building is very wel insulated from any traffic noise. The rooms, however, are not super well insulated from hallway noise and noise from the other rooms. The walls are thin, so you can hear some noise from neighboring rooms. We were on the lower of two floors, and were very aware of the people over us moving around. We had our kids with us, so sleeping in late was not on the agenda anyway, but had it been, I would have been very disappointed at the noise that comes into the room. The rooms themselves are great, we had two bedrooms (1 K, 2 Q) and two baths for less than I paid last time we were in Pismo beach for a small room with 2 dbl. beds. The suite is really large, and even though our balcony looked out on the game courts, we could still see the ocean and it didn't feel at all like we were right by the highway. The showers are pretty pathetic, the shower heads were down too low and the water pressure was a joke, but other than that, a GREAT room at a great price. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows, big TV's, nice room decor. The hotel grounds are very clean and well kept, although the pool is very small. All in all, I'd say this is a great place for families with kids. I definitely wouldn't choose this hotel if you're looking for a romatic couple's getaway. As far as traveling with my 8 & 12 year old, though, it was ideal and we'll definitely return.

This was a great 4 day get away for our family during spring break. The kids had a blast with the badmitton (spelling?),lawn chess, putting green and ping pong. We had an ocean view king suite with a balcony we spent mornings and evenings relaxing on listening to the surf. Only problem with this hotel is there is no direct beach access. You have to walk down a couple of hotels to a stairway which is kind of a hike but we managed. The breakfast was typical of upscale continental with yogurt, waffles, bagels, oatemeal etc... The rooms were pretty well insulated and even though the hotel was quite full you really didn't here others from our room. The kids slept on a pull out couch with no complaints and our King size bed was very comfortable.

Great hotel, very nice rooms.2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, hall, microwave,&fridge. We were on the highway side, but they had two dual-paned windows so it was totally soundproof. Also, we were on the courtside view, but we had a great view of the ocean over the other buildings. Service was good, continental bk had a waffle machine. All-in-all a very, very nice stay.

We have stayed here 3 times. My parents and sister shared an ocean front (1 queen and a sofa sleeper) room this time and we had a family size (2 queens). The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. My parents and sister enjoyed a quiet pribate patio with an amazing ocean view and we enjoyed the large outdoor chess set they have in the center of the complex. A putting green, badmitton area, ping pong, gym, large pool and spa were also available and we tried them all at least once. The breakfast of danishes, bagels, cereal, oatmeal was great for us. Fast and filling. We could only stay one night this trip and decided that had we not had family staying longer so we could enjoy everything a little longer with them the late check in and noon check out was just not comfortable. We will go back for sure but only if we can stay for a few days. Dad was a little frustrated with the water situation as they were having water heater trouble and didn't have hot water and then it took 5 minutes for it to get hot after that. They were informed it was because they were on the end of the run of rooms. In my opinion the best room for privacy if you don't mind waiting for your hot water. This is a great place for family of all ages to enjoy together. Something for everyone.

We stayed here in Sept 2005 and the room next door had children and adults. The kids screamed at each other until 4 am. When we told the front desk, there only response was 'you should have complained sooner'. I thought they might at least say they were sorry we were inconvienced. In a 2 week trip across country it was the only place we stayed with rude people at the front desk.

What a beautiful view! We stayed at Pismo Lighthouse Suites and had an endless ocean view from our comfortable suite. Spacious, clean rooms! There is a lot of care that goes into this place. The rooms have a really cute nautical theme, lighthouses abound! We can't wait to go back! My only wish would be to have a mini bar in the room and a little more expanded continental breakfast. For the money, though, you can't beat it!

Our family of five had a GREAT one night stay here. We all enjoyed the badminton and ping pong - had a great family tournament while there. Also hit the hot tub and pool to chill out before resuming our drive from San Francisco to LA. The breakfast buffet is standard, but hearty. Rooms are very spacious, and offer mom and dad privacy from the kids while they can enjoy their own TV. Would definitely recommend. If you arrive later than 9pm, drop your bags and head out for a bite to eat right away, as local spots seem to close around 10pm. We had to head to San Luis Obispo for our bite to eat around 11pm - and that was a bit stressful.
