Before booking this hotel I read the reviews to help me make my decisions, I'm used to the "no frills" rooms, that's what you get, the bare minimum, that was just fine with me. This hotel is older, with a bit of a musty smell, but tolerable, the room was clean, the bed was a bit uncomfotable for my taste, and the TV reception was not great, some channels didn't work, but I didn't come to NYC to watch TV. The staff was alright. I had a late flight back home, the staff informed me of the $3.00 fee for the lockers to store and all my luggage. If you looking for a clean room, with your own bathroom w/shower, in walking distance to everything (location, location, location) for a great value, this is a deal, just don't expect the frills.

This is the worst place I've every been in! Disgusting. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I go to NYC often and have my favorite places, however I like to try different places as well. The location looked good, pictures were okay and price was good. What a mistake. We got a dirty, stinky room that made me feel itchy. I wouldn't be suprised if there were bugs for I did end up with some bites on my ankle before we left, which was only a half hour! YUCK! The air conditioner needed to be cleaned too. It was moldy. Carpet was dirty, stained and worn. Luckily, we found a vacancy elsewhere, a bit more money (but not that much) and it was well worth it. This place is the most disgusting place I've ever been in!!!!!!!!!!

Location was great but it would have been worth a few more bucks to stay somewhere a bit nicer. Room was basically bed and one and a half feet of walking space around bed. Hotel did have large lockers to store lugguage in which was a plus. Not quite sure if it was standard with all room but there was a mouse trap under the bed. Lucky it was always empty through out the stay.

Please everyone listen and do not stay at this hotel. The room stinks like a ashtray. The air conditioner did not work in not 1 but 2 rooms. The toliet flooded from the back tank and never was fixed. The customer service was the worst of all of my travels. The location is the best feature bu sooo not worth the other pitfalls.

location was the only thing going for them. Bare bare basics... only 1 mirror in bathroom. Very small and sparse. Not for business travelers.. more like students on a tight tight budget. Was dissapointed from how it sounded in the review on expedia and what it actually was upon walking in room.

The room was sparce to begin with, but was missing some of what it should have - because the hotel hadn't bought enough supplies! Vending machines were near empty and no information was available on refills. Staff was friendly, but couldn't deliver. Mold in bath tile grout was very evident as were carpet stains. Not a place to repeat and not a good value for the price.

We were travelling on a tight budget and wanted something that was close to Times Square and the pick-up stop for the tour bus. This hotel satified all of those needs. The room was small but adequate, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was large. This is a no-frills hotel, but if you will not be in the room much, this a great value for the location.

The bathroom doorknob was falling off. Could be easily screwed back together. Wallpaper trim peeling off. Could be easily reglued. Linoleum headboard top layer was separating from wood and sticking out. Could be glued and clamped to dry. Floor was lumpy under carpet. (Potholes under the carpet?) Bathroom ceiling is a plastic grate with huge lumps of dust collecting in the plastic grate. Could easily be vacuumed out. Bad reception for network TV channels. Cable channels ok. Wireless internet didn't work. Cleaning staff was friendly. Desk staff efficient, but not courteous. Might be a New York thing. Hotel in good location close to theater. Other than that, it was a dump. It would only take a weekend to do most room repairs. The paint looked ok. The toilet wouldn't stop flushing. Had to press down on the rubber thingy in tank to stop continual flushing. If you are looking for a place close to theater, with a door that locks, and a clean bathroom, it was over-priced, but ok. There were no bugs. Don't turn on air conditioner. It smells like fungus or something unidentifiable. I didn't mind the trip, and I'm not a luxury traveler, but Eeeeeeeeeeeeew!!!! To summarize: Good features: Locking Door, Clean Bathroom, Clean Sheets, Clean towels, Shower Works fine, no bugs. Bad features: Room in disrepair, not maintained, general feeling of Eeeeeeeeeeew!!!

While the price was good, it was not worth the savings. The room was not clean (hair in the bathtub and on the floor; bathroom floor was dirty; windows were filthy, etc.) The hotel staff sits behind a bullet proof window. To get to my room, I had to walk through a very lenghthy maze of dark, dingy, dirty hallways. The elevator was filthy. All in all, I would recommend not going to NYC if your only option is staying in this hotel.

Location was great-close to everything Parking across the street-big plus Most uncomfortable beds every Clean but everything was very worn (blankets, pillows, etc) Front desk employees make you wait while they finish telling personal story to each other. Seemed to be a lot of upset customers If you are on a budget and can sleep on anything you might be alright.

The price is low compared to the area, however in my opinion is very high for the overall service provided by the hotel. Internet from the room does not work despite I use a wireless laptop and wanted to pay for the connection. Front desk staff are rude and uncooperative. Won`t go back to this hotel.

The hotel was very minimal and could use a lot of paint. The cleanliness left much to be desired. However, it was adequate, by far the cheapest hotel I found and the location was great. There is also free wireless and free satillte TV. There is a parking garage across the street and if you get the hotel to validate your parking its $30/day.

This room was smaller than my college dorm room, not to mention the full bath that was smaller than my half-bath at home. Other than the tiny room, there was no alarm clock (I had one on my cell phone which makes it ok). The bathroom floor and shower were a little dingy and the overall appearance of the room just gave me a "blah" feeling. But its like we said, we only came to the hotel to shower and sleep, the rest of the NYC trip was spent sightseeing and shopping, so it's not like we spent all day in this room.

I arrived at 2pm and waited 35 minutes to check in and was not given a room until 9:30pm. During that time I was told that I could leave my, and my 3 family members luggage at the hotel but we had to pay for 4 lockers (even though I was a guest!). Everyone at the hotel other than the manager was very rude. When I finally went into my room at 9:30 at night, it was very dark with one very dim light. The bathroom was clean enough, however the bedding looked as though it had never been washed. I would never stay here again, and will never recommend it to anyone.
