Rooms were clean. The place needs some cosmetic upgrades. Rooms are all on 2 levels. I did not see an elevator on the premises.

Took me to and from the airport, to and from my conference location, to and from the light rail station and to and from the CalTrain station. This alone made it worth it (and much more cost-effective than the expensive alternatives). No cable in rooms, if you care about that, but the rooms themselves were clean and spacious.

Hotel staff were good. Room and hotel were OK. The location was good for me and parking was not a problem. There is a Safeway shopping center to the north of the hotel that has good restarants, approx 1 mile. It is not obvious where to go for food from the hotel. Worked ot fine for me and I felt it to be a good value.

The hotel is pretty good in general. The location is excellent. It shares the parking lot with a Burger King, and a gas station right outside. Access to 101 is right outside the hotel as well. On the other hand, the hotel is pretty old, and somehow in my room, the TV has only access to about 10 local channels only.

We had a late arrival were greeted very well. They knew exactly who we were and had us registered and on our way to our room in excellent time. Free breakfast was well done, but no bacon and eggs. A good choice of cereals, begals, juices and good hot coffee. The transportation sevice to the airport was very well done. All in all we would go back there again.

For the price, this place is very reasonable, especially if it is close to where your activities are. Although it is nearly next to the airport, the double-pane window keeps the noise out almost completely. Fitness room has Treadmill-like machines but no weight-lifting equip. The included breakfast is simple but healthy. The pool is very small, not suitable for serious exercise. Room is spacious and clean. The free Internet access is through wireless connection only. Signal not strong but gives you reasonable access to images and texts. Speed is much faster around the lobby area. Right next to a gas station, convenient for filling up the tank before returning the rental car.

We stayed here twice on this trip. Rooms were clean and only problem was on our first overnight stay one of the beds in the room had a bad mattress. I mention it at checkout and the desk clerk said that they would have maintainence check it right away. On our return overnight the room was excellent. Only negitive was that the only resturant in walking distance was a burger king.

My brother and I spent 4 nights at this hotel last week (May, 2006). Room was clean and comfortable, continental breakfast was adequate, exercise room was useful, it's 25 steps to the Burger King for when you arrive late at night and don't want to go out. And the price was right. Furthermore, the fourth night we stayed was not reserved, and the staff went out of their way to get us an acceptable room. 4 stars.

We stayed here because we had an early morning flight home. The evening before we returned our rental car and the Best Western van picked us up at the car rental to get to the hotel. The next morning we took the 5 AM van back to the airport. This was what we needed. This was what we got. The coffee in the lobby at 4:45 AM was welcome, especially since the Starbucks at the terminal had a long line.

The hotel itself was quite satisfactory. The continental breakfast was a nice plus. However, the driving directions to get to the hotel via cell phone were incorrect. Also, the key card for our room door had to be reset for the second day.

It appears that the room are simply being cleaned but not properly being checked or maintained. The recliner seat supposedly in my room (which is indicated in guest registration card that I signed) was replaced by a rigid chair and the TV always go to the maximum volume everytime I turn it on. Internet is not available in the rooms. On the good side, the room is very clean. So if you are in a budget and is in need of a place to sleep for 1 night, this hotel should be fine.

We just grabbed a room for the night and this was what was available. Kind of over-rated...definitely not a 3 star hotel...more in the 2 star range. Carpets stains up and down the hallways. Could hear music blasting from another room. Another guest kept trying their card key for about 15 mins. in our door. Oh well. Just another ordinary, nothing spectacular hotel.

When I arrived the lady in front of me was having great difficulty registering and the registration clerk was extremely patient and helpful. He took his time, answered her questions, repeated his answers as necessary and provided excellent service. When it came to be my turn I did not mind the wait because he showed the same attention and courtesy to me. Later he provided information on restaurants and directions, even calling the estblishment to get more specific directions. The next morning the registration person was just as helpful and friendly. The entire experience was great.

While the convenience to SJO is a real big plus, I was a bit upset to learn that the hotel did not offer wireless access from the rooms. This wouldn't have been so bad if the local calls were free, but since they weren't, I didn't appreciate having to spend money to access the internet from a place that is literaly minutes from Intel.
