I enjoyed staying here, especially the bed - one of the most comfortable I have sleep on in hotels. I ordered room service and it was very quick and excellent. The shuttle service back and forth to the airport was excellent. Highly recommend the hotel.

Every person I had occasion to interact with was friendly, helpful, and, in my opinion, had a sense of excellence about their jobs. I was helped through a credit card emergency. As I was on my way out of the country the next day, I was frantic. Staff knew what to do, had good suggestions to persue, and kept me calm through a long evening. Problem resolved the next day and I went on my flight as scheduled.

We enjoyed the hotel, the only problems we had was with the room keys on one of the rooms we had and the staff did finally resolve the problem. We also felt that the information regarding the cost of the BART and Muni was given to us incorrectly. We were told that they would cost as much as a taxi and in truth the taxi was $75.00 one way to Pier 39, where the return on the Muni-Bart system was much faster and only cost us $7.00 per person, which times 4 people was still cheaper and just as fast as the taxi.

From day one, we were treated with respect and courtesy. The hotel was clean and the employees were professional. Our room was beautiful--free wifi is available, from the room. Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion, Body Scrub, Face Wash, Body Wash, and robe were waiting for me (a new one each day) to come home and enjoy the awesome shower. We had a beautiful view of the bay, from our room. And, despite being so close to the airport, it was VERY quiet. Room service is brought up in 30 min. or less, or its free (and it was never more than 15 min.) And, although there was a huge wedding going on, it was never loud and service was alway prompt.

This hotel seems primarily to serve business travelers depalaning at SFO and is geared to this clientele. The restaurant is small but very adequate, parking is within the building and easy to access, the service was prompt and courteous. It is a good hotel, not great, but for the traveller it is more than acceptable.

The Sheraton Gateway San Francisco Airport Hotel is a beautiful hotel right on the SF Bay and only a few minutes from SFO. The staff was very friendly. Rooms were excellent with linen sheets and very comfortable beds. There is a paved trail starting from the parking lot and going out along the bay - an excellent break for someone who has been crammed into a plane for hours.

1. The $13 parking fee was a surprise, and turned a very nice rate for a hotel of this quality into an average, no-bargain cost. 2. They need to work with their card-key system - lots of fumbling and two trips to the lobby to get the room key and parking keys to work right.

A quest in the room next door came in late, about 1:30 AM and turned the TV on high which woke me up. I pounded on the wall to no avail. I called the front dest who promised to get security to handle it, and finally, I called the neighboring room myself and got him to turn it off. I expected better insulation between rooms at a "4 Star" hotel. The resturant breakfast menu was not as good as the prices indicated it should be and I found the Joe's Eggs very moist to soggy and tasteless. Dinner was quite good and I recomment the New York Strip. The staff was very nice, the shuttle was clean and timely, the garage was clean and safe. Altogeather is was good to very good.

I was disappointed with the Reception Staff. I am a preferred member of this hotel...but it took over 40 minutes to check in. I was even standing in the "Preferred Guest line"...and the staff continued to check in others that came into the hotel after me. Checking out was another story...took over 20 minutes...extremely slow staff. I will not stay again at this hotel. Also- watch out for the parking fee...about $15/night.

Their hot tub is nasty, has lots of black grease on the side that all the cleaning people ignore. In addition to the grease it is rather small, so even if you risk it . . . it will only be in one of the two seats. No heat control either, it is rather cold for a hot tub to save money. All very surprising for a hotel that is supposedly 4 stars.

The front desk was curt, and acted like I was a total waste of time because my out of state card was giving problems. The concierge was no help at all, and didn't try. Even the guy in the parking garage had a "get out of my face" attitude. I will not be going back there by any means.
