The room was adequately comfortable and clean. However I had a basement room, across from a noisy ice machine. There was a lot of door-slamming at 3.30am, and just doors opening/closing noisily generally. I only got three hours' sleep, not the amount of rest I needed/wanted. The shuttle was on time.

As another reviewer mentioned, the room is small...just a place to sleep, and that's all I needed. A tip for JFK travellers, the signs in the airport are strangely uncommunicative. To get to this hotel, or other hotel shuttles at Station C, take the AirTrain to Station C. There is also a "Passenger Pickup C" at the curb...not the place to go. The AirTrain is 5 bucks to take you into the city, but free to Station C and the shuttle pickup spot. The hotel shuttle can also take you back to Station C where you can take the AirTrain and NYC transit wherever you want to go.

Hotel clerk was very courteous and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and the motel is handy to JFK; BUT, the room is very small, not enough room for two pepople to move around. Good desk and desk chair but no easy chair, nor room for one anyway. I lost ten valuable minutes trying figure out how to turn on the shower (you pull down on an inconspicuous ring around where the water comes out of the tub spout). A hint of some sort would have been appreciated. Good high speed wireless internet. Would have rated the room tops for cleanliness but there was a cigarette butt in the toilet and the room initially smelled like a smoking room though it was supposed to be non-smoking. A guide to nearby restaurants and a local map would have been nice.

Days Inn JFK Hotel was really grand. I was very lucky to have picked this hotel and it is very new! The bathrooms were very nice everything was in place and extremely clean. It was slightly hard to get to but I called the hotel and they were able to direct me easily over the phone.

I checked in at 1:15 a.m. and the service was friendly, courteous and knowledgable. Hard to find at that time of the morning, even in NY. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean, but on the small side, but it's NY so I didn't expect larger. A portable luggage rack would have been useful. The breakfast buffet seating area and lobby were too small for the number of hotel guests utilizing the areas, but the staff was more than happy to accomodate me with assistance. I would definitely stay there again.

We needed an overnight place near the airport and this was it. Relatively inexpensive, but very tiny rooms, very tight parking - and limited, and not near anywhere if you want to walk for a quick bite. People were friendly. Sheets were rough.

Hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Shuttle service only runs on the hour. Expedia booking said it included a continental breakfast but when I went down to the lobby at 6:30am, there was nothing prepared. Not even coffee. There were many people awaiting a shuttle to the airport and were also upset that there was no breakfast ready since there is nothing within walking distance to eat.

The room I was given was in the basement although the elevator indicated 1st floor. To buy a bottle of water I had to walk two blocks through a semi deserted industrial area.

I booked it because the price was decent (for the area) and it was close to JFK. Parking is limited, but the gentleman behind the counter was very courteous and friendly. The hot water went out the night we were there, so no showers in the morning.

The Kennedy airport Day's Inn was adequate for someone who needs a place to stay right by the airport for one night. It was clean and close to the airport. The room was tiny however. It included a double bed and a table on which sat a t.v. If you were going to stay in the room for mmore than just sleeping, it would be claustrophic, but the bed was comfortable and the area at night was relatively quite.

Though this hotel is not attractive as such - just a concrete building in an industrial neighborhood of Jamaica, Queens, ($9 taxi ride from JKF) - it is clean & safe, with a friendly staff. The perks are: quiet, comfortable rooms, free breakfast, free shuttle to LAX, and homebaked cookies at the front desk, which were delicious. Drawbacks are; no restaurants nearby, so best to buy something at the airport to bring to room or eat beforehand.

This hotel was good for a quick stop before an early am flight. The only problem was so many people with tons of luggage waiting in the early morning for the shuttle. They had to call in a second shuttle and we still were almost late for our flight. Plan ahead and get to the lobby early got the shuttle to jfk for your flight.
