We had never been to Vegas but the Flamingo was a nice hotel to stay at. Great location for walking to all the major hotels on the strip. We went to all the hotel casinos and Flamingo had the most friendly dealers and reasonable minium bet limits. Room was not plush but so what, we only slept in the room and is was comfortable and clean and very quiet at night. We would stay here again. Hotel restaurants were also very good and the prices were not bad either. Service was a little slow but who cares when your on vacation! The food was great!

This hotel is in the most perfect location right in the middle of the Strip, easy access to the monorail, and complimentary shuttles to Bally's/Paris and The Rio. The rooms are not elaborate, but they are comfortable and clean. The pool area was really nice. Tropical Breeze restaurant right off the elevators was a blessing for breakfast...no wait and service with a smile. Would definitely stay again!

Girls trip! The location is just perfect---central to everything! Everyone said this is an "older hotel", being my first time in Vegas I have nothing to compare it to. That being said, the service was fantastic, rooms were clean and comfortable, and to my surprise--very quiet! No coffee makers though. How much time do you really spend in a room anyway? We averaged a couple hours a night! Pools are beautiful, chairs fill up quick though. Landscaping, birds and waterfalls are fantastic. This will become an annual trip and I will definetly stay at the Flamingo again!

I chose this hotel due to its convenient location in the middle of the strip. I walked north one day and south the other, thus covering most of the strip hotels that I had planned to visit. Room was comfortable and clean with new carpet, albeit shower pressure was low as it shared the same piping with the bathtub tap. If you are a "bathtub" person, then it is fine. Bring your own toiletories as they were the bare minimum. I didn't like the shampoo and the small cake of soap. The gaming floor did not have much variety in my opinion, and slot machines were tight as I lost almost $2000 on the slot machines alone.

First let me say it was absolutely a value for the money. Hotel is smack dab in the middle of the strip and though it is old, it is not run down. They gave us a smoking room the 1st night because we checked in very late, but suprisingly you couldn't tell that anyone had ever smoked in there so we did not elect to change rooms. The maids did a great job in cleaning, but there was stuff left out in the halls all day. They need to upgrade the bedding - cigarette holes in blanket and I would hate to run a blue light over the bedspread. The room was larger than most hotel rooms I have stayed in and it does have a safe in the room The pool was nice but it was SO crowded that one morning (10 am) we had to leave because there were no chairs. There is no security to check that people there were guest - I have a feeling that people from other hotels go and use the pool. Also, charging for the gym was a negative.

At first, I was a little worried about staying at an older, less elaborate hotel. However, I discovered The Flamingo had everything we were looking for. The location is fantastic! We spent the first couple days walking both north and south on the strip from The Flamingo, our starting point. It was right in the middle of everything! The buffet was pretty good and the price wasn't too bad. The only gripe I had was about the pool security guard. He took his job a little too seriously and wasn't letting people even place their towels down before the pool opened. Overall, I would stay at The Flamingo again and I would recommend it to my friends.

Hotel was in middle of wherever you wanted to go. Be prepared to walk, but to me you see more than if you took the monorail or shuttle. Room was clean and had a decent view. Food was excellent at Tropical Breeze but service was awfull. A few had attitude problems and you had to wait in line too long when plenty of tables were available and not cleaned. Too busy talking and joking with one another when there was a crowd waiting. My compliments to the chefs, the food was worth the wait and served in a timely manner, and way more than you can eat.

The center strip location of the Flamingo is just one of many excellent qualities of this hotel. The rooms, while not full of opulent elegance, are clean and well-kept. The casino does not have the smoke and stale liquor smell, and the dining options are plentiful. The parking structure is close to the check-in counters, and elevators are fast and plentiful. Just remember - no coffee pot in the rooms. (I think this is probably standard everywhere in Vegas.) Definitely recommended!

We found the Flamingo as a great location, right in the middle of the Strip. Our room was large, very clean, good bed. Charge for local calls was a bust, and no free internet service. The Wild life display and pool area was very nice and relaxing. The coffee shops were very nice, expensive, but that is Vegas. The buffet was excellent. The Monarail was right out the back. Overall a great stay.

The Flamingo is great! Good location in the center of the strip. The room was a good size with a fantastically comfortable bed. The pool area and wildlife habitat are enclosed by the wings of the hotel so it's quiet, well landscaped with secluded areas. Good staff, very friendly and helpful. We loved it! Would go back in a flash! Don't miss Ventuno's, the Italian restaurant. Not for everyday dining, but perfect for a special romantic dinner. Very cozy with delicious food and very attentive staff.

My husband and I went to Vegas for our anniversary the beginning of July. The best part of this hotel was its location Center Strip. The hotel has everything great food good casino and good shows. We are already talking about when we are going back. The view from our room was of the Bellagio so at night we didnt even have to leave the room to see the Fountain Show. Our hotel room was big enough for us- king size bed with a couch. It truly was a great vacation. We will deffinately stay at the Flamingo again.

This was my first trip to Las Vegas and I went alone. I was really impressed with the size of the hotels in Vegas and this one was no exception!! It's huge!! I thought the room was lovely and comfortable and the bed was also more comfortable than most places I've stayed. The habitat is an extra bonus and the pool areas are very nice albeit very crowded!! Enjoyed the buffet and the restaurant food a lot too. Buffet food much above average of most buffets. The casino is pretty much like the others but I didn't notice a strong smell of cigarette smoke and stale liquor like I did in some of the others. I would stay here again and probably will very soon.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Flamingo! I HIGHLY recommend use of the airport check-in/registration. No waiting in the long lines at the hotel. Also, I recommend the quick check out by using the in-room tv for checkout. The garden buffet was wonderful and the view was breathtaking. The pool was very large and the slide was a blast! Some of the restraunts were pricey, but if you go next door to O'Sheas, there is a food court there with Burger King, Subway, a pizza place, etc. and the prices are close to normal, unlike some of the other eateries we visited. And, use your connection card for as much as possible in order to get more bang for your buck. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay there and it was right in the middle of everything. Definitely would stay there again.

Great service, being in the center of the strip makes it an ideal location. The connected monorail station makes it easy to quickly get to the ends of the strip. The pools are the best in Vegas because they weren't an afterthought.

I was very happy with my stay at the Flamingo (2/9-2/14/05). The brunch at the Paradise Garden Buffet was excellent, as was the breakfasts we had at the cafe (located right near buffet).I would suggest avoiding Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. Way too loud and obnoxious. The food there was not worth their prices. The Bird Sanctuary was a nice surprise. Very beautiful collection and a nice place to walk around after too much time on the Strip. The room itself was consistently clean and tidy. The entire staff was extremely courteous and helpful.I would definitely go back.

The bathroom in our room was extremely small. My husband and I couldn't be in the bathroom getting ready at the same time. However, the room was recently remodeled and was nice. Their "Comp" card was not explained very well. If you stay there you need to get your card first thing, use it continually, and charge meals to your room! We didn't charge enough to our room and then my comps were totally lost. What a waste. Be carefull. If you play blackjack, they change the $5 tables to $10 early in the evening.

After reading the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was very impressed. I used the airport check-in as recommended and it was great. No waiting and great service. I requested a room overlooking the fountain but it ended up that my floor was not high enough so the view was of the Strip and mountains--still not bad. I don't believe that my room was one of the most recent updated ones but it was very comfortable and large. The amenities were great and I loved being right on the Strip. I used the workout facilities and only paid $16 instead of the posted fee of $20. The grounds were lovely and very tranquil. I'll have to come back when the pool it is open. Against the recommendations, I did have the buffet because I was pressed for time and it was the least crowded. The food was not memorable but it was adequate. The fruit was good and fresh. I'll skip the Flamingo buffet next time, however.I recommend the Flamingo for a great Vegas experience at a great price.

The hotel has a great location on the strip. Its one of the older hotels and maybe not as nice as some of the newer ones. It still has all the features and Margaritaville is great. Take the monorail from the hotel to most of the other larger hotels. A mix of people stay at flamingo, but its not exactly a young crowd (besides Margaritaville). I would overall recommend the Flamingo.
