| This was our first trip to New Orleans. We loved the hotel because it was just a few steps away from Bourbon Street, but not right on the strip-so the night noise didn't bother us. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in pointing out local attractions and giving us directions. We will definately go back!

| This was the first time I had stayed at a Sonesta brand hotel and I was quite impressed. Yes, the location on the edge of the French Quarter was nice, but the hotel itself with it's quaint courtyard, comfortable, inviting lobby, friendly and helpful staff and an absolute wonderful bed, made our stay there quite nice and I would definitely go looking for another Sonesta Hotel on future trips both business and pleasure, in the future.

| Chateau Sonesta was a good value for the price I obtained through Expedia. The hotel was clean, well-kept, and the room very pleasant and comfortable. The pool area is a big hot with little shade and neither the pool or lobby bars were open. Services were not what you would expect, but I understand the issue with getting sufficient help post-Katrina. The hotel is very close to Canal St., so getting to the most freqently visited parts of the French Quarter was a bit of a hike.

| I booked this hotel based on the feedback of other reviewers and I can definitely say you can trust the other reviews. The service was top notch and friendly with only one glitch while we were checking out but it wasn't a big deal. The location was perfect - close to the action of Bourbon Street & the French Quarter without all the noise. We got an inside room away from the street so that may have helped. It was also very clean and the bed very comfortable! Next time we go back to New Orleans it will be at the top of our list - especially for the price!

| This was our first time in this Hotel and we were very pleased with our room and the Hotel. We stayed one night in a room overlooking Bourbon Street. We had a big, comfortable room with a balcony we could go out on. The noise level was not bad, but then I think a Thursday in June the crowds might not be as big as a weekend so we had no complaints there. We came back to finish our stay in New Orleans on Sunday and this time they gave us a Pool view room. This was VERY nice. The room was smaller then our room overlooking Bourbon street, but the room was beautiful and we had a door that took us right out to the pool. The beds are very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel. If you have a chance, eat at their restaurant The Redfish Grill. It was excellent. The Hotel Staff was Great.

| A great visit to New Orleans where graciousness and gratitude abounds. For a quiet evening stay off the Bourbon Street side. But during Mardi Gras, the balcony could be a great place to view the parade. Interior courtyards beautiful. Beds ever so comfortable. Rooms roomy and bright.

| The Chateau Sonesta was a very nice, comfortable hotel with very large rooms. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again! People party until 6:00 a.m. in this town so if your a light sleeper, you may want to request a room with a courtyard or pool view.

| Chateau Sonesta is recovering well after last year. The hotel staff is not to 100% yet, in my opinion, but they are working hard. Parking remains an issue since the valet stand was not in service while I was there. The garage across the street which the hotel has contracted was full one evening when I returned, which left me in search of public parking. The hotel room was great, the pool and courtyard are great, and the location is wonderful. The French Quarter is rapidly returning to its former glory, and the Chateau Sonesta puts it all within walking distance. Overall a good visit; great room, great facilities. If you are parked before the night life picks up, parking should be fine.

| The location is perfect. The pool was great. However, you should ask for an inside room. I had to move because my room on Canal Street was extremely loud all day and night. I also did not receive cleaning service for almost 2 days even after I phoned housekeeping. Guest services did make sure my room was cleaned after I informed them. Aside from those 2 issues I did enjoy the hotel and the Red Fish Grill which is part of the hotel has great food.

| The hotel was very well situated for all the action in Bourbon Street but far enough removed for peace and quiet. The facilities are still being renovated post Katrina but if you are looking for a hotel that has good, comfortable rooms and is reasonably priced, then try this one. The pool area is nice and secluded. The staff are friendly.

| We had a great stay at the Chateau Sonesta over Memorial Day Weekend. The hotel is located at the beginning of Bourbon Street and offers a nice pool and courtyard. The hotel seems understaffed from Hurricane Katrina so there's no valet parking and our room didn't get serviced until very late one day, but these were very minor inconveniences. The bed, comforter and pillows were incredibly comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

| We stayed at the Chateau Sonesta for 3 nights (May 18-21, 2006). We were very pleased with the location, just about a block from Bourbon Street in the French Quarter and a block from Canal Street. The hotel staff was great - very friendly, efficient and accomodating. However, we had a standard room that lacked many of the features I'm used to seeing in a 3 star hotel, i.e. mini-bar, refrigerator, coffee-maker. While the bed was comfortable and clean, the room furniture was old and kinda tacky. Maybe we should have opted for a deluxe room.

| I was down in N.O. in April '06 and had a pleasurable stay at the Chateau Sonesta -- just off Bourbon enough to get a little r&r and close enough to the action. You have to check out the Red Fish restaurant which is on the hotel premises - good eating. Then again, it is New Orleans.

| We were here for the French Quarter Festival and we couldn't have picked a better hotel. The hotel was very nice. The location was great - right in the French Quarter, in the middle of all the action. When we booked the 2 rooms we had requested rooms on the courtyard side (because we did not want to hear the street noise)with a king bed, and on the same floor as our other traveler (mother-in-law). Some of this information did not get through to the hotel, and they did not have a king bed available. They were nice enough to upgrade our room. We ended up getting a larger room with a balcony that adjoined my Mother-in-Law's. The balcony and overlooked the lovely pool area. We would definitely stay hear again.

| Overall the hotel was fine. They are still in the process of recovering from Katrina, however, so some services are limited and not all parts are open. I would NOT recommend getting a room that faces Iberville Street. There are noisy bars there that are loud well into the night. The possible additional cost of a room facing the courtyard wuld be worth it.

| After reading reviews for the Chateau Sonesta, I changed our original hotel reservation. I am so glad I did. I was impressed before I arrived. After calling the hotel to inform them our plane was delayed and would be checking in very late, the desk clerk expressed concern that I have a safe trip and they would be looking forward to seeing us. Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant and professional. The room was large with a balcony and a view of their lovely courtyard. I also enjoyed the workout room and even though I didn't use the pool/pool area it looked great. I would surely stay here again.

The concierge was so helpful in booking us a Post-Katrina tour of the city, which was absolutley amazing. Bourbon Street is right around the corner. The French Quarter was beautiful. We reccommed Cafe Pontalbo on Jackson Square for a yummy breakfast and the Red Fish Grill for a superb dinner. A visit to Pat O'Briens is a must - we had a blast! We will definitely return!
