Nice place - but could be more family-oriented. Include a breakfast and I would stay here again. Double beds were too small - should upgrade to queens. Bathrooms very nice and modern.

The Grand Vista is a great place to stay whether you are on business or simply a pleasure trip. The rooms are large and very clean. They have a restaurant and bar as well as a 24 hour pool and hot tub.

The Grand Vista offered a better room with more amenities than several of the name brand hotels in the same vicinity. Great value, and I had no complaints.

What a find! Starting with the rate, through the front desk friendliness, room comfort, 24 hr pool and hot tub to the freshness of our remodeled room and the free taco bar in the lounge, this was an incredible find for our week in Grand Junction. They even have hotel transportation to shuttle us....WHAT A DEAL!!!!

The hotel lobby gives you the feeling of high price but the so advertised 5 star mattresses fall way short of 2 star rating. Room was clean but not well lighted. Alot of noise from maintainence work on nearby room. Ample room in bathroom.

Hotel is a little dated, but clean. They advertise in room wireless, but at 1 mbps you might as well have dial up. The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, however there are numerous restaurants in the local area.

If you are taking children with the intent of swimming, please note that their swimming pool is cold. We have stayed there several times and the pool was only warm on one occasion. The hot tob is also too hot. Swimming is uncomfortable at best.

Many of the hotel staff were new and not properly trained. The hotel was clean and well kept. The thing that bugged me the most was the horrible lighting in the entire facility, they are using low wattage light bulbs all over the hotel and it was dark and mood altering.

We checked in at 2:45 pm-they weren't sure there were any cleaned rooms. Our room did not have a table and chair-looked like someone borrowed them-the space was there just no furniture. The bathroom floor was sticky and not very clean. The hallway smelled of cigarettes and we were suppossed to be on a non smoking floor. Breakfast buffet food was over cooked. Too Bad!!!

They are remodeling the hotel. It is going to look great inside and outside when completed. We had a great view of the mountains from our room. Had to be taken to the airport and returned to hotel. Employees were very cordial in our endeavor. Our flight had been cancelled and they made sure we were welcome to stay over night if needed.

There was no place to plug in a laptop, and the wireless network did not work...couldn't even get a signal, and no wired network. And there was no desk in the room. They seem to cater to tourists (the dining room was filled with tourists at breakfast), but certainly not to the business traveler. But as the title says, there are not a lot of choices near the airport.

My room decor was bizarre. It appeared to warehouse a combination of furniture from other defunct hotels, federal style formal furniture combined with rattan and tropical decor in two different color schemes. I could write my name in the dust. There is a 24 hour pool; on my floor, there were children running back and forth to the pool at midnight.

My room had only two lights, neither of which were movable nor near the writing table. I asked for a lamp for the table and was assured I'd have one shortly. A half hour later I still had no light, and the bell boy was playing around on the computer at the front desk, said he hadn't had time yet to find a lamp. A half hour later I still had no lamp, and I informed the front desk staff I would be writing a letter detailing their poor service and room conditions. They said they could care less who I wrote to. I left a letter for the general manager, who either never received it, or has the same attitude toward service as his staff, as I have not been contacted by anyone in two weeks regarding this matter. The heat lamp in the bathroom was burned out, and there was no cover over the exhaust fan either. I've seen cleaner rooms in roach motels in smaller towns. Also, the room service prices were outrageous ($30+ dollars for six bottles of Sam Adams), not to mention the $20.00 breakfast buffet featuring slimy eggs, dry sausage, and watered down orange juice.

The staff helped as much as possible gave directions, wake up calls, there is some kind of birds that poup all over the car. The place was quiet, and clean, I'd come again.
