| The appearance of the casino area was impressive and the room was clean and well maintained. The only thing I was a little upset was the front desk not telling me the suite was a smoking room when I specifically stated I wanted a non smoking room!I only realized the room was a smoking room when I saw the ash trays in the room.Actually, the room did not smell like smoke but it would have been nice to have told at the front desk.I still will stay at the Peppermill on my next visit to Reno!

| When we first arrived and saw the cool LCD panels all throughout the casino (very nice touch!), plus the fact it was a relatively new hotel, I had high hopes that this was a hotel that had the latest in technological comforts. Unfortunately, what I found was limited cable, no Wi-Fi, passable wired Internet access (through Cox cable with a daily fee), and a phone system that was not set up well enough to even retrieve messages. The room was comfortable, the maid service was excellent, and the pool was a delight (though not as clean as it should be).

| What a great experience. By far the most friendliest staff I have ever experienced. From the front desk to the bell hops to the poker dealers (when they change dealers, you are introduced by name to the new dealer). Restaurants are exceptional. Pool is beautiful and clean. Rooms have great views and it was nice to see they had real shampoo and conditioner since we forgot ours.

| Rooms appear new though it is not a new hotel. They are currently adding an additional 600 room wing which speaks for itself. The casino is immaculate. The only negative is the same for all hotels in Nevada - no coffee makers in the room. Am not sure if one can be requested.

| My room was excellent and the choice of restaurants is great. Registration staff was outstanding and very helpful and pleasant. I found out on my plane trip home that locals love the buffet here and I can say it was one of the best buffets I've eaten at. I'd go back just to eat there.

| A friend of ours checking into the Peppermill 2 days before us and had the desk clerk walk away when he showed up. Then he got told that they booked him into a smoking room even though he requested a non-smoking room. When we showed up (having also requested a non-smoking room), they told us that they didn't have to give us a non-smoking room, and that if we wanted one, we could try to find one some place else. So we did, without difficulty. Stay here only if your a smoker and you don't mind curt clerks.

| Everything was great at the Peppermill, except when we checked in, the rooms that we were suppose to have ready for us were not available until the next day. They did upgrade and put us in nice rooms for the night, but had to move our things to our regular rooms the next day, which was an in-convience. Otherwise, everything was great.

| We were at the Peppermill for our son's wedding. The wedding planner at the hotel was fantastic, right on top of everything. The wedding and reception rooms were nicely decorated. The food and service at the reception were excellent. It was easy to work with the minister and DJ the event planner recommended. The bell and valet services performed quickly. One son and his family were able to get a crib, microwave and refrigerator for their baby. We were able to use a hotel wheelchair so my mother didn't need to bring hers with her. Rehearal dinner at the Island Buffet was excellent. Husband and other male relatives enjoyed our big screen TV.

| Overall this hotel is mainly about it's casino. Which is probably great for the older, gambling crowd. But the decore is just awful. You walk in and all you see are all of these bright neon lights and mirrors everywhere! It just doesn't look classy, it looks tacky. The decore in the room wasn't as loud, but definatly outdated. The pool area was very comfortable though.

| I have stayed at the Peppermill many times and always enjoy my stay. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Food choices are many from the wonderful home style food in the coffee shop to the fast food to buffet to gourmet. The casino is always lots of fun with loose slots and many choices of table games. At this time the hotel is expanding to increase parking and build a new addition to the hotel with state of the art facilities. My only complaint is the cigarette smoke but at this time is common in casinos.

| After waiting in line to check in for over 15 minutes, I was told that my room was in an outlying building. I had to walk outside, behind the main hotel, through a parking lot to a crummy, dirty little building. My room was on the first floor with the window next to a street. Not clean, Not safe, Not Acceptable. When I called and asked for a different room I had to PAY for an upgrade. Beware.

| Hotel was under construction. They put me, a single female traveler, in an unattached building that was under construction. When I asked to be moved the person at the front desk argued with me that the construction was finished! I was moved to another room, in the smoking section. I was promised a ionizer which never materialized. Other staff were very friendly though.

| I have stayed in a few different hotels in the Reno area, and I was very impressed with the Peppermill. Our room was in the new Montego Bay wing and the room was gorgeous. A selling point for us was the 42" plasma TV. The tile and marble bathroom was also very nice. We will definitely be back to stay there again. The only down-side was the fact that the casino was on some weird ticket system that was difficult to understand, but I don't gamble much so it wasn't too much of an issue.

| I am a skier and this is a perfect hotel, especially from skiers viewpoint. It is away from the downtown area and only 20 minutes from Mt. Rose, a very good ski area. Additionally, it has a great variety of restaurants, all with good food, reasonable prices and good service. Also if one likes to do some gaming, their video poker machines seem to pay better than some of the other hotels. In summary, good service, good food, quiet rooms, reasonable payouts and friendly service personnel. A definite repeat for me.

We stayed in one of the jacuzzi suites complete with steam in the shower, very relaxing. The room was perfectly cleaned and replenished everyday. The casino seemed more 'people friendly' and any we have been in. It was complete with prompt bartenders and cocktail waitresses. Change and ticket cashing kiosks are easy to find. The food was Great in all of the restaurants. Being there for six days we had a rental car - can't beat the valet service and you can actually drive around town without much trafic.
