Good location for LAX but nothing around in the area re shopping or eating. However good place to start and end a holiday. The tours recomended were great, plenty of help from front desk. If the desk was not manned then the porters or any other staff passing was more than happy to help. nice breakfast though a tad expensive. Room service was good. Teenage girls would have liked it closer to shops, but thats a good thing as I got to save some money. Will stay there again when we finish our trip and are on our way home to Australia.

We requested 2 double beds, received a king size and there were many available rooms on that night, the available computer to check in for our flight , no one seemed to know how to access it even though there was a sign on the computer to go to front desk for access key, the shuttle to the airport was to run every 10 minutes according to the lady at the desk and we waited over 40 minutes.

Would have been nice to get a breakfast included since I spent less than 12 hours there with my two younger daughters. Hotel was really average and nothing special stood out. But again I had to find some place when my flight came in at 11:10 pm and I needed to get out of there by 10am the very next morning. Not all hotel staff could think clearly at that time - wanted to run my credit card through again although the room had already been paid for!

We arrived at LAX at 9:30 pm and had another 5 hours traveling to get home. We chose to spend the night in LA and finish our trip the next day. We arrived home at a decent hour as well as being rested and relaxed. The Radisson is very easy access and return to LAX (free shuttle every 10-15min.).

I chose to stay at the Radisson LA Airport because of its proximity to the airport, its free Internet access, and the availability of 24-hour room service, which I thought might come in handy given my long flights and likely jetlagged state. On both counts it was an excellent choice. The room was roomy; the penthouse bar a pleasant place to while away a few hours and have dinner; and it was very clean. I was somewhat disconcerted by the curt, uninformative service at the front desk, especially as the person I dealt with was the day-time manager. Perhaps women travelling alone don't rate quality service? Or perhaps he's equally churlish with others, who knows.

If you have to stay at the airport, the Radissonis not better or worse than any other. The room was adequate. I feel that a continental breakfast should be included since you are a captive audience. The breakfast menu was on the expensive side, and quite mediocre.

Positives: Location to the airport, nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, cool bar at the top of the hotel (great views at night). Negatives: Weak shower pressure, the service at the bar at the top of the hotel was ok, but could have been better. Maybe its just LA, but everything seemed pretty expensive. For example, if you rent a car or bring your own it will cost you a lot to park in the garage behind the hotel which can be a pain. On the side street there is one hour parking if you just want to run back into the hotel to grab something you might have forgotten. I usually do not use the pools at hotels so I cannot comment on that.

I had no problems checking in or even requesting to be placed on a certain floor. The front desk manager was helpful in that regards. The valet service was excellent. Did not have to wait long to get my vehicle. Asked the concierge where a certain place was and he gave me a "quick" answer and did not further explain how to get there. The gripe that I have was with the charges for a telephone call. Somewhere in the vicinity of $7 per minute. Other than the phone charges, I would stay at the Radisson LAX again.

I've stayed at the Radisson a few times and the hotel is FINE for a major, not top of the line, hotel. Much better then many airport hotels that I've stayed at with a new lobby, bar, etc. and decent rooms. The hotel can be noisy, with Air traffic, if you are a sensative sleeper, but I had no problems with the room.

The business center hours did not meet my needs. I arrived about 8:30pm on a Sunday night and the center was closed. I was extremely upset as I needed to check email. For a business traveler arriving on Sunday night, this could be important to be able to review emails. For this alone, I would choose to stay at another hotel where the access was available at least until 10pm. Also, the vending machine on the 3rd floor would not accept my dollar bills. There was no one at the Concierge desk and the check-in line was very long at the front desk - I was tired and wanted some water. I went to the gift shop and the girl couldn't give me change unless I made a purchase. I was completely frustrated by this time. The water in the vending was 20oz for the same price as a 16oz bottle at the store. I wanted the most for my money. That was my first stay and I hesitate to go back because I didn't feel very valued as the customer. I wanted to do two very simple things and was met with roadblocks at every turn, which really were unnecessary.

The only complain that I had was that the shuttle bus driver did not even bother to stop to pick me up at the airport; he was in the third lane from where I was standing. The Radisson @ LAX is a good hotel if you want to be near the airport. We were there on a quick trip to look at colleges, one of which was only about 10 min. away, so felt it was a good choice. We didn't have much time to see the amenities. I would probably stay here again, as far as the room goes, but would find somewhere else for breakfast. The buffet did not have very many choices, the pastries were all gone by 8 am and the hot foods were cold or at least only room temperature. The room was quiet for sleeping even though the airport is just across Sepulveda from the hotel. Not luxurious, but adequate.

This hotel is 5 min away from the airport. Good point. The bad points were, restaurant very expensive, not very good food. Room was average at best. The bathroom ceiling had a crack in it and the rug was worn. The bed; however was a sleep number, very nice feature. Room service HA! HA! HA! A major joke. It took 2 hrs for two sandwiches. Which ended up being free. Overall this hotel is okay if you like airport hotels. Not luxury at all. I'de probably not stay here again. But I enjoyed my 1st trip for the weekend in LA with my husband.
