Lovely hotel but very crowded. "Duck walk" is uninteresting (enough with the ducks already, leave them alone) and attracts too many children and crowds to the hotel lobby.

We only got to spend one day in Memphis as a side trip from Nashville. After walking into the lobby of the Peabody, I wished we didn't spend so much time at Graceland. The Peabody's staff and ambiance are unmatched - an absoluntely wonderful place to stay. The pomp and circumstance surrounding the duck parade is anti-climactic and the southern breakfast buffet in the attached Italian restaurant was cold.

First class service. Extremely courteous and helpful staff who focus on meeting guest needs. My only complaint is that the room, while comfortable, was not as clean as one would have expected for a hotel of this caliber.

This hotel was really great. Beautiful, clean, and elegant. Staff was very nice and we had no problems whatsoever. Our room was large with a sitting area, but the bathroom was a bit small. Great location as well. The ducks "marching" are a tad overrated but it is a cute thing to catch if you are around the lobby.

The Peabody is a classic in many ways. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the whole duck parade, and enjoyed the history of it all. Our room was not quite as nice as I expected for the price, but all in all was quite comfortable. The location is great if you want to enjoy Beale Street.

We really enjoyed our visit to the Peabody. I went with my husband,my 22 year old son and two grandkids. Our two seven year old granddaughters were thrilled with the ducks marching and the lobby. The Sunday Brunch was the best buffet that we have ever eaten. I liked the shops in the hotel. Many had unique things. The four elevators were great. We did not have to wait very long for one. Another thrill was seeing Frances Scott Key's piano. I liked the carvings.

The Peabody Hotel, located in Memphis Tennesse is an example of old south elegance. The hotel lobby is a return to a more gentile day and time. The famous Peabody ducks join the crowd daily at 11:00 AM and depart at 5:00 PM and are great fun. The hotel is beautifully maintained, extremeley well run, and the service can not be beat. If you are heading to Memphis, a stay at the Peabody is in order and the location is superb!

If you enjoy staying in hotels with character, you'll love the Peabody. It has excellent restaurants, shops and, of course, the famous ducks in the fountain in the lobby. The ceremony surrounding the ducks entrance and exit from the lobby each day is a must see. Plus the rooms are spacious and well appointed. My room even had a small balcony. The location is in the heart of Memphis, 1 block from Beale Street, and walking distance to many attractions.

The Hotel Peabody is a beautifully restored and maintained 20's high-rise in downtown Memphis, with a wonderful 2-story central lobby surrounded by stores and restaurants, centered on a fountain with swimming ducks. Rooms are large (we had a corner with two windows looking out to the main street). The only drawback was the main restaurant - ostensibly steaks and Italian. To my mind, way over-priced, not very attentive service, pretty good food. Steaks range from $25 -$35 or more, everythings' ala carte (zuchinni - $8!), and they wouldn't keep my water full. I think the in-house hotel restaurant should be a more reasonable affair, so if you have to eat there, you don't get stuck. There is a nice mall next to the hotel, and the remnants of Beale Street are down the block, along with two huge sporting venues. Downtown Memphis has seen better days, but there are still interesting restaurants and lots of great old buildings.

The Peabody was a lot of fun. The ducks were a big attraction for the kids and they loved watching the walk twice daily. The lobby is lovely and the rooms comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful with suggestions of what to do around town. Beale Street was worth a walk, but reminded me of a short Bourbon Street.
