Beautiful setting with lovely beach, pool, and hottub. Strip steak in restaurant was fabulous and service was first-rate. Staggered rooms/balconies give alot of privacy. Will go back--hope soon!

I can't say enough. They made me feel very welcome. Gave us coupons for area activities and recommended places to eat. Even had menu's available for review and made our reservations for us. The kids had a blast and I can't wait to go back. 5-Star service all the way. I was made to feel like a Queen.

My husband and I went on a short vacation for 3 nights and stayed at this hotel. I have never been more impressed with the service, cleanliness and beauty of this hotel. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It's kid friendly as well as romantic. Get the ocean view, it's worth it. We also rented one of the cabanas on our last day and I would recommend that as well. Saturday was pretty busy and the bar area was a little slow, but nothing to make me not want to go back. I will for sure be going next year!!!!

My review of this hotel. My visit was May 24, 2006. We had an oceanview with 2 doublebeds. No balcony. When we called to ask about a balcony told only the rooms with King bed had balconys. This would have been nice to have a balcony. The elevator was quick. The resturant, was so expensive. I ordered a sprite for my son at the bar, 3.50$. Even tho there were children, there were alot of couples, or families with children. I am a single mother with a son so if being a single parent dosen't bother you. Great. Has a romantic feel about it. It carries in the air. My complaint. The Ice machine on my floor, and others didn't work. My bathroom had dirty linens that I watched daily never get removed. Floor had a hair pyle swept behind the door in the bathroom. Housekeeping I thought was very inadequate. Upon checkout the desk clerk tho was most aplogetic, and handled things in a desirable manner. Beachfront, Warm pool. We did enjoy our stay.

Best feature by far is Baleen's. The seared tuna was excellent. Service at Baleen's was superb, they paid attention to every detail. Our room had a partial ocean view and was very nice. It had the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. Nice waterfall shower with great water pressure. However, the jackhammers from the hotel next door were annoying first thing in the morning. No place to put our clothes. Our room had a huge flat screen TV, but no dressers! Housekeeping came in 3 times the morning of our checkout, and they made us feel rushed. We left at 10:30 instead of our noon check out because we didn't want to have them coming in again. No "do not disturb" sign for the door provided. Valets and doormen were very nice. Except for housekeeping, we loved the place. Great pool, hot tub and tiki bar right on the Atlantic. Room rates were a little pricey... they have to pay for the $37 million hurricane renovation some how!

The best resort in Daytona. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaraunt is nice. The views on the ocean side are spectacular. The only slightly negative I can think of are the prices are pretty high, and there isn't a good comfortable place to "hang out" if the weather is bad. What I mean is, the hotel bar is part of the restaraunt, and is very fancy. There is a fun, outside bar that is open when the weather is nice. If I were to go back to Daytona I would stay here for sure.

This hotel was amazing!! The bed was the softest bed I had ever slept in; may even be better than the heavenly bed. The room was very clean and the staff was very nice. The pool area was great. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only negative part is that it is far from all of the action, so we had to call and wait for a cab to come pick us up.

We recently returned from a four night stay at the Shores Resort and Spa. The pool was wonderful, the room was beautiful, the view was outstanding. The kids loved sitting by the fire at the end of the day and just unwinding. The only problem was that the air conditioning in our room didn't work for two nights. We switched rooms after the first night because of a/c problems and moved to the room next door where the a/c was working fine - until the last night of our stay when the a/c in that room stopped working. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. Treat yourself to an oceanfront room with a balcony. The view was incredible!

This is one of the best hotels on Daytona Beach. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful at all times. The room was large, had pillow-top mattresses that were a welcome comfort after a long day. Extra pillows, big screen TV w/DVD/CD player. Wonderful pool/deck/lounge area. Overall, we were very impressed & would recommend to anyone. Will go back.

We went down just for an overnighter and this was a great place to go. Beautiful rooms and very, very comfortable beds. Its right on the beach with a very nice pool and hot tub out back. The service was exceptional. Its not in the heavily travelled area of Daytona Beach so if you want nightlife, you'll have to drive a couple miles for it. But if you want to get away from the beach crowd, then this is the place to go!

We stayed at The Shores during the heart of Spring Break season. Since we are no longer that age, we were looking for something very nice, very clean, romantic, with a beautiful room. We were not disappointed. The room was gorgeous with an oceanfront view and balcony. The King size bed was more comfortable than my bed at home, the room also had a 42inch flat panel tv. The pool area is very nice and has excellent service. At night there is even an outdoor fireplace that overlooks the ocean. The hotel is expensive, but it is well worth the cost. I highly recommend it.
