My family and I visited NYC and not only did we fall in love with the city, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location was great - close to tour buses, restaurants, theaters, shopping, etc. We had a late check-in and noticed a wet spot inside our room near the door (assuming from a leak from the air conditioner vent) - however, the next morning, housekeeping came in and promptly took care of the wet spot. We'll definitely stay here again.

Novotel is in a great location for tourists who want to be in the heart of NYC. The window of the restaurant bar overlooks the famous "corner" of Times Square and there is a good view from the room. The hotel staff wasn't as friendly as I thought they should have been but they weren't bad. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

I was not as impressed with the rooms in this hotel, as I was with the view of Broadway that we had. There is nothing special about this hotel. But, if you are looking for a no-frills, decent size, clean room in a great location in NYC, then this hotel is what you want. There is also no valet parking, but they give you a discount a lot up the street. This would probably be my second choice hotel in NY at this price range.

spent the weekend at the hotel. We stayed in a corner room with a great view and a king size bed. I chose this hotel for the location and the fact that I got tired of staying at boutique hotels. The location was great and the staff were quite helpful. The interior and the bathroom seemed a bit dated but clean. The bed was quite comfortable. The amenities in the bathroom were a bit scarce but the television channel selection was impressive. There was a lot of information for tourists and location couldn't be beat. I noticed the staff and customers came from a diverse ethnic background. This was nice to see.

The hotel had an incredible location right in Times Square. We were able to walk to broadway shows, and most any restaurant we wanted to go to. Central Park and Rockefeller center are both only a few blocks away. The tour buses leave from about 2 blocks from here, so it was great for touring the city. Having read reviews on other hotels, we expected a small noisy room. We were very surprised and happy to find our room was spacious, quiet, and even had a decent view of the river. The rooms are definitely dated and could use some upgrades, but on the whole they were neat and clean. This hotel was cheaper than other hotels in the area, so for the price and location, we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Novotel in April. The location is excellent, close to theaters. We parked at a nearby parking garage for $23 per day. Our 2 children stayed free. Hotel was nice, but grout and caulk in our bathroom were mildewed, which was a turn-off. They have an easy system for baggage storage ($1 per bag) if you want to stay in the city for a few hours after you check out.

The Novotel has small rooms that are functional and it has a decent health club. I did not find the mattress comfortable, which is pretty important to me. It has a good location and is well insulated from the noises of Broadway. Would I stay there again? I'd first check to see if I can get a decent deal in a hotel with a health club that has comfortable beds. French is spoken by many of the guests, given its major presence in France.
