The staff with the exception of the maid was inadequate. For example,I wanted to get a massage in the spa and no staff was available I could not get a referral or given a recommendation. The staff at the spa was unfriendly and did not give the impression that they were trained in hospitality. Hotel was dated and the food from room service was tasteless and the staff unprofessional.

We visit Reno yearly and have stayed at other resort/casinos but keep coming back to the Hilton. It's close to the airport and seconds away from 395 so it's perfect if you want easy access for day trips to Carson City, Virginia City or Tahoe. I missed having a coffee machine and refrigerator in the room, but there are plenty of places to eat and a coffe/snack shop near the elevators. Can't wait til next year.

Everything was fine in the hotel except there were not enough workers at Chevy's and the bowling alley. Over half the tables were open at Chevy's but was told there was an hour wait. Same at the bowling alley. However, it is a very family friendly place and otherwise everything went well.

The non smoking room we were assigned smelled as if a bowling convention was held in it. The management in the gaming area were rude to customers but were especially rude to the dealers. Things can be broken but there is no excuse for rudeness. As for food service,in two of the restraunts, service was slow and the food was served cold. These experiences were common to people around us

I was amazed at the size of the hotel grounds alone!! There was eveything to do..spa($10 fee), driving range, bowling, and even a kids archade. But what was amazing to me was the size of the Hotel itself. It was at least 4 blocks. It had a lot of meeting and convention space too. The room was also very big. The interior was a little dated (it was renovated in 1978), but was comfortable. There were 4 sitdown resturants, and 2 quick service resturants. There is also a KOA Campsite in the back with a market, which sells everything at a fracion of the gift shop. I would book there again, and would have no problem bringing the family.

Main lobby area and casino are nice enough. The restaurant choices are fine too. We recieved pretty poor service at the very expensive Andiamo restaurant but they could have just been having a bad night. The rooms we stayed in were clean and luckily didn't reek like cigarette smoke but they were extremely dated and the bed spreads were stained with what I can only guess was ink. Also we asked for a king bed well in advance but when we checked in were told they only had doubles. I can't name names but if I were to return to Reno I would definately stay in one of the newer developments downtown.

The minute I walked in this hotel, I felt at ease. It was tastefully elegant, clean, and inviting. It had wonderful amenitites for both leisure and business travelers. Visted most of the other hotels in Reno and none could compare. During the end of the visit, I had a problem arise in the casino. Although the casino management did not handle it with care, when I went to the hotel manager, he was extremely cooperative and apologetic. So if you can stay out of the casino, as a frequent traveler, I commend this hotel with an A+.

However, it was a very nice hotel and will stay there again when back in Reno.

My husband and I had a lot of fun at the Reno Hilton. We managed to hit some balls at the golf range, bowled, gambled (of course), and ate at Round Table Pizza - which was part of the attraction since we like the one in Hawaii. We'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone who has kids or anyone who wants to be a kid again.

All around a good hotel with plenty to do. My only beef is the long wait to catch the airport shuttle - it only runs every 30 minutes, even though the hotel is 5 minutes away. Each time I've stayed here it seems I've missed the shuttle by a few minutes and end up sitting around for half an hour for the next one. I recommend grabbing a $10 cab to get you there faster, and as an added bonus you can avoid hving to hang out with the smokers in the airport shuttle waiting area.

The hotel and rooms are clean an comfortable. Close to time for a major remodel. Convenient bus service to the Reno Races and also a free airport shuttle for in/out travel. Great rates and value for the dollar.

If you want to gamble, go to the Hilton. I don't gamble, but it seemed like a good place for it. The restaurants are relatively good too, although somewhat pricy for what you get. The staff was nice, but the hotel was so big that it was somewhat hard to navigate it. Other than a few minor inconveniences such as not being able to open the windows more than a half inch (really!) or get through to the information desk from the telephone in the room, it was really a nice place. I don't have a need to go back to Reno very soon, but I'll probably stay at the Hilton again when I do.
