| Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful while remaining playful. Food was very good with sufficient variety to satify all but the most discriminating diner. Short drive out of the city was more than worth it.

| We went for our 10 year anniversary after hearing how great Mexico was. The trip was nice, however, We do not like to be hussled. We have since been told that what we experienced is normal. We went there to enjoy a nice romantic vacation and we had that as long as we remained at the hotel. Leaving the resort property was a big mistake, because everytime we left we lost the romantic atmosphere.

| Overall the hotel was satisfactory. Buffet food was better than the sit-down restaurants. If you're looking for a great beach, this is not the place. Don't bother with the spa services. That area really needs updated. Staff was friendly and helpful.

| In sum, this is a beautiful mid-range property best for relaxing, recharging, and lounging by the pool. If you want gourmet food, shopping, and a party atmosphere, look elsewhere. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids under 10. We did the all-inclusive option, a very good value for the $$. GROUNDS: Pools were big, warm, and clean. 2 hot tubs. There are plenty of loungers & chairs available, for heaven's sake, if there isn't one exactly where you want to park your behind, go get one and move it where you want it! FOOD: The buffet is the way to go, don't bother with the reservation restaurants. Ask for "Don Julio" tequila. STAFF: Politeness is universally respected and we always received excellent service when we made our needs known. ACTIVITIES: Book direct through Chico's Dive shop, located underneath the oceanview balcony by Los Arcos Grill. You get a 10% discount if you pay cash. We did the Los Arcos Marine park snorkel (10 minutes by boat) - fun. Also recommend the ATV tour to El Eden. They'll let kids as young as 10 drive their own. BUGS: Bring 25% DEET spray. Due to the proximity of Mismaloya creek, there are plenty of no-see-ums on and near the creek and beach. The bites are very nasty, and since they don't really start itching until a day later, you don't know what hit you until it's too late.

| The food was very good. The buffet had chicken, steak, and other great stuff. The room we stayed in was a 2bedroom suite, it was very clean and nice. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly. All inclusive is definately the best way to go. When your done eating whatever you want as much as you want, you just get up and leave. No tip, it is included. It is very relaxing and lots of entertainment. I would definately go back. And I would highly recomend it to friends. Oh and if you ride the green bus into town it is only 5 pesos, but it will save you $10 to $15 in cab fare. The bus stops right outside the hotel.

| Just returned from 5 days, Feb. 2006. A suberb hotel with all the amenities and service one would need. Efficient, friendly staff. Rooms are suites with balcony and kitchen but don't expect to cook because no utensils are supplied. Hotel is isolated about 10 km. south of PV in a small picuresque cove shared by small beach huts selling food and beer. Cab ride from airport is 45 min and about 20-25 dollars. Clientelle is mostly older, in 40-70's. No nightlife nearby. Stay here if you like islolation and quiet but still want to be pampered. The food is good. If you don't want to bother traveling to restaurants or sampling the local cuisine take the all inclusive package. We eschewed the package and found a lot of good eating right across the road in the town of Mismaloya and in PV Centro (5 pesos by city bus, but 100 by cab). BTW, John Houston's restaurant, nearby on the old movie set was closed when we were there. If you like beach, you'll be disappointed because Mismaloya beach is very narrow. The waves, at times, come right up to the stairs of the hotel. Also nearby, are horseback riding and jungle excursions to the movie set of "Predator."

| My family and I found this a very relaxing escape. The staff was wonderful and very welcoming. The beach had decreased in size since the last time we had been there ( 7 years ago) but it was still beautiful and fun to play in the waves. Be sure to try to visit Las Animas, a boat ride just out of Boca del Rio. It has amazing beaches and surf!

| Did not get "all inclusive" here, but did eat breakfast buffet which was great. Different entertainment each night which was "themed", like "romantic night", "Mexican Fiesta night". Wonderful location south of Puerto Vallarta, and nicely secluded but not too far out. Rooms were superb, large and extremely clean with the maid coming 2 times a day. Room service was fast, pool was huge; landscaping was very nice; also many shops and amenities: tennis courts, game room, pool volleyball, outdoor pingpong. This place is directly ON the beach. They have a great concierge service and will book any tour or event for you. When you walk in the door, they serve you champagne. We felt like royalty!

| We just loved this resort. The food was great, the service was very impressive and extremely friendly. They are cleaning the resort 24/7. Housekeeping comes twice a day. The location was beautiful with the jungle in the background and lots of butterflies. The beds were great, especially for a hotel. The night of the Iguana Restaurant served extremely good food, although we were warned about the bats when we went there for dinner. You can swim in the lukewarm ocean water as late as you want. They have security on the beaches at night. All in all, this was the most beautiful place to stay and the fact that it is 20-30 minutes from town made it even more like paradise. We stayed in the royal suite which has the highest floors for a view from the balcony and it was well worth it. One funny note. It took us 2 days to find the (dinner only) Italian restaurant that is hiding behind El Patio restaurant!

| Fourth trip to PV, second time at La Jolla de Mismaloya, first time all-inclusive. Loved it. Food was very good and at times excellent. Varied menu and food outlets. Great service, both food and beverage. Favorite room floorplan of all time. Booked the 2 BR suite. Perfect. Entry BR used for ladies dressing room, two bathrooms, and a large front room where we stayed. Good balconey, view. Great pool complex. The fountains only ran from around 8am to around 9pm, though. Seemed odd. Furniture and decor a little dated. Would have liked a small couch and table in front BR. Comfortable beds and again, the two bathrooms were perfect for travel/leisure. Location of hotel on south end of bay a plus. Love the "jungle" location.

| Upon arrival I sensed that this was going to be a great ex-tended weekend. The hotel staff was extremely nice and the hotel itself, beautiful. The grounds are very well kept and clean at all times. Our room was wonderful, we were on the top floor and what a view that is! My only complaint regarding the room is the sleeper sofa,,its not at all comfortable! Although we didnt do any cooking, everything you need is right there in the kitchen. Will I go back? You bet I will, except next time it will be for more than 5 days!

| La Jolla de Mismaloya and Puerto Vallarta in general was an incredible experience! This resort sits on a beautiful piece of property with great views of the ocean and the massive pools that sit below. The combination of the ocean, the jungle and the mountains all in one view was a unique, beautiful sight to see. The service at the hotel was amazing in every way. Whether it was setting up tours, exchanging money, answering questions or simply sitting back while the pool-side waiters bring you drinks all day, it was amesome! The food that was offered also receives an A+. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and after hours service provides an extensive variety of choices. One thing that i would recommend is definately get the all-inclusive package. This resort was farther outside the city than some of the others, so most of your meals will be at the hotel. Looking at the bills, it would have been very expensive to eat at the hotel without the all inclusive package. Not to mention all your drinks are covered, day and night. We ate like kings and ran up $100 bar tabs a day and it was all included. It paid for itself in 3 days. The people throughout the city were very friendly and helpful and we felt very safe overall. Puerto Vallarta is a definate must for any vacationer! It is a place that i'm sure i will return to again in the future.

| I have stayed here several times...always loved it. I have stayed other places, but always come back. Do to an underwater landslide, the beach has all but disappeared, but this is still one of the nicest hotels in Mexico. Every time I've been here I have been treated like royalty.Only complaint: My credit card company locked my card because of my failure to notify them I was going to Mexico. The staff could have been alot more helpful.

| My husband and I just got back from a weeks stay at Mismaloya. We had a great time! I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff was great and the location of the hotel was wonderful. It was about 5 miles from town so it was more secluded, the scenery was great and you could take the bus into town for 45 pesos. Most of the people we met had stayed at Mismaloya before and had planned to come back again.
