This hotel is at the end of Duval Street overlooking the gulf, it is know for its beautiful sunset views with good reason. The room was clean, the staff friendly, efficient and extremely knowledgable about the surrounding area and places to see and things to do. The restaurant, The Hot Tin Roof, was tremendous -- I would have licked the plates if I could. I came away feeling spoiled and very relaxed. It was my 20 year wedding anniversary, can't wait to go back and celebrate some more!

We visited Key West and stayed at the Ocean Key Resort over the winter break for three days with our two children (14 + 16). The One bedroom suite was very comfortable for the four of us and the rooms were colorfully decorated and very homey. We were all very pleased with the resort (staff, room, pool, location). We didn't eat in the restaurant, but heard the food was very good. You can watch the sunset while sitting in the padded chairs by the pool or you can walk right next door to Mallory Square and enjoy the sunset festivities which take place every night. We will definitely return to Key West and will most likely stay at the Ocean Key Resort again.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this hotel. The location was wonderful - right on Duval. You never have to take you car out to enjoy old town Key West. And while we booked a junior suite, we were upgraded to a one bedroom. Service was excellent. The only drawback I saw was in the condition of the room. There was a hole in the dry wall where bedroom door hit it, burner control was missing from stove, cabinet doors had seen better days, jacuzzi bathtub worked well but had also seen better days. The living room chairs were rattan and uncomfortable. For the price of the room and the space in the living room, it would have been nice to have some comfy chairs. Since we got such a good rate through expedia (about 1/2 hotel website room rate) I can't complain. I would certainly have expected better for the normal room rate.

My girlfriend and I went to this resort this past weekend. We had booked a Junior Suite, but upon checking in, the host told us "I believe you're going to have a really great weekend". We were kind of confused, until she told us she had upgraded us to a oceanfront suite, and that it was the best in the entire resort. I thought she was just pulling our chain, but she was not. Not only were we sitting right on the ocean, we were on the top floor, and were the farthest room jutting out onto the ocean. The room sat right over the pool, and from the HUMUNGOUS balcony you could see the ocean to the front and right of you, and Mallory Square was just below to the left. The room was amazing, high cathedral ceilings paneled with wood, windows everywhere, humungous jacuzzi tub that you could see the ocean from. The entire resort was just great, even the courtyard. I HIGHLY recommend this resort to anyone, although I would suggest getting an ocean suite, you just can't beat it. I would give this resort 10 stars if I could.

Everything about this hotel was great! The location was terrific. Our room overlooked the ocean and provided a stunning sunset view from our balcony. Plenty of water sports nearby. The pool was wonderful and had ample umbrellas for shade in the heat of the day. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, we would go back in a heart beat. This was our 1st time back to Key West in 13 years and lots of changes have taken place. Still a good place to relax, hang out, have a few drinks and have fun. Locals are not as friendly as we remember and servers are not shy in asking for their tip which put us off a bit. We still had a great time though!

This is a nice hotel in most important ways: rooms, great restaurant, clean, nice rooms. However, it shares the dock with curise ships. Thus if you don't know this when you first arrive and expect to have that ocean view all the time. Thus, you may be surprised at the next time you look to see a humongous cruise ship literally filling up your entire line of vision. What a shock and dissappointment to have that view! Cruise ship traffic is heavy at this end of Key West. Otherwise, it is a fun location with lots of great restaurants.

We just returned from a long weekend in Key West. We were there for a wedding and really wanted a place that would provide the luxury and comfort we have come to expect. The Ocean Key Resort was AMAZING!! First of all, the hotel staff was incredible. They were courteous and attentive, everything you could ask for. We got the junior suite and were blown away by the openess of the living area and comfort of the bed! The living room had these HUGE double doors that we left open most of the time. You didn't even need the air conditioning! It was on Duval street so near all of the action, but nestled in the corner by the water so you felt like you were a world away from the craziness when you wanted to. It was truly the best of both worlds.

This hotel is located in the best location at the end of the most famous street in Florida. Enjoy a cold drink and the sunset on the pier then take a very short walk over to Mallory Square. Within walking distance to all the major attractions and the marina where you can hop on a great excursion!

I enjoyed my 5 days at this hotel even though it is alittle pricey. There were 2 things that bothered me: 1) The balancy on my 2nd floor ocean view was partially blocked by an extension wall and 2 large palm trees. 2) The cruise ships dock next to the hotel and block the view of the water.

Spectacular view, friendly and courteous service, and a location that can not be beat. This is the fifth year we have vacationed in Key West and the Ocean Key Resort was without a doubt the most enjoyable place we have stayed at thus far. We go to Key West in February to break up the New York Winters and the pool at the hotel went a long way in helping to accomplish that. We very highly recommend it to anyone interested in sunsets and relaxation.

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and the service was 5 star. I wish I could say that was the way with the rest of Key West's resturants and stores. I think they forget who their "bread and butter" is. But the Ocean Key knew and we had a wonderful experience there.
