This is one of the few hotels I've stayed in around the world that I'd go back to. The place is very well-situated and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were attractive, comfortable and very well-maintained. The tea and sherry hour in the afternoon was very congenial and welcome; the free breakfast was quite deluxe! The on-site restaurant didn't have a large variety of food and that made it hard to take the kids there. But that was minor since the hotel is within walking distance of so many restaurants. The only real complaint I had was that smoke from the restaurant chimney blew down into the pool area, making it hard to breathe there. That is unfortunate, since the pool area is otherwise an attractive and inviting place to sit or swim. To sum it up, it's a great inn but Asthma Sufferers might want to find another place.

We have stayed at another hotel in Santa Fe for many years. We decided to try Inn of the Governors, due to its location right off the Plaza. We found the room and hotel lovely, the staff helpful, and the breakfast outstanding. We will definitely be staying at Inn of the Governors again.

This hotel is in a great location. It is a short walk to Canyon Road, The Lorreto Chapel, Santa Fe School of Cooking and the plaza. The less expensive rooms do not have kiva fireplaces and the doors open to the outside. These rooms get some traffic and parking lot noise. The pricier rooms have the kivas and doors open into enclosed hallways. The buffet breakfast was very good with many selections(2 types of eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, oatmeal, cold cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, pastries, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, tea, cocoa).Parking is free!!! Downtown parking is expensive.

This is a wonderful Santa Fe hotel. Property is loaded with Southwest charm and hospitality. My room was a little small but it only seemed to add to the intimate nature of the hotel. Service was great and the location to all Santa Fe attractions was incredible. A few blocks from the central square. The conceirege was very helpful as was the entire staff. This is definitely my hotel for the next trip to Santa Fe.

We went on a trip through a few states over the holidays. This was the only place that I can give a good review on. The people were sooo friendly and helpful. The food was incredible and the rooms were more than comfortable. Soft robes in each room and the beds you just melted in. I could of slept for days. Everything smelled clean and good and the rooms were spotless. Good coffee in the rooms. I could go on and on. If you are in Santa Fe you must stay there. You won't be disapointed. I promise. I would rate this a 5 star...

We weren't sure exactly what to expect since the room rates were fairly "reasonable" but this hotel was extremely comfortable, clean and just a great stay all-around. The customer service was excellent for the entire seven days we were there and the free breakfast buffet cannot be beat! The restaurant/lounge located just downstairs has a fantastic menu with some of the best values we saw all week. The location is ideal - two blocks from the Plaza, shopping and great restaurants in every direction no matter which way you go.

The Inn of the Governors is located hard by a busy city street but, with walls festooned with plants and a nicely apportioned lobby with adjacent pool, the encroachments of the city are kept away. Add to that the location, just a few blocks off the Santa Fe plaza, with its many attractions, and this place fits the needs of both vacationer and business traveller. The 4 p.m. tea and sherry served in the lobby is a wonderful touch and those needing to keep in touch with business or home have access to a free computer in the lobby as well as free wireless internet access throughout.

Just blocks from the Plaza, with local ambiance and a terrific buffet breakfast, The Inn of the Governors is a great place to base your Santa Fe trip. Not as elegant as the Inn of the Anasazi, but at a fraction of the price, the staff has no "attitude" - just friendly service and sherry and cookies at four.

The location is very convenient and includes free parking. There are certainly more grand and fabulous hotels, but no one tried harder than the Inn of the Governors.

We will be staying at this hotel again the next time we return to Santa Fe. The staff was very nice, the rooms were very cute (with a fireplace), breakfast was more than a regular buffet and it was centrally located. Our only complaint would be that our room was directly over the kitchen (2nd floor), so we could hear everything all night long. We would not stay in that same area of the hotel again, however when this was mentioned to them they did offer to move us to a different room.

Inn of Governors was a perfect choice. The staff was courteous, helpful and real! Some rooms have wood burning fire places and the aroma was so nice... Not us, we didn't know and were in another room which was simply beautiful. The rooms were of fine bedding & comforters, New Mexico style tissue holder, soap, toiletry holders, soft robes in the room, pleasant Santa Fe decor all around. The complimentary breakfast was great and the waiters welcomed questions about the history, what to do, etc. It was rainy, chilly when we were there for our first visit, but because the Inn was so comfortable and friendly, and just because Santa Fe is so unique, we loved it. The attached 'bar/cafe' next door has the best $low priced lunches and dinners and appetizers! The Inn is right next to all of the attractions and historic town by the way.
