| This hotel was everything you could imagine. For being a 3 star hotel, it sure seemed alot better. The appearance and condition of the rooms were great. Nice employees, willing to help you out if assistance was needed. I would definately recommend staying there to anybody.

| There are several problems with this hotel. The staff are extremely rude, if you can even get their attention; There are too few elevators to serve the large number of rooms, so long waits with heavy bags; Parking is very limited, which forces drivers to use expensive public lots; The onsite restaurant was never open; The ice machines and ATM were broken; and room service? what's that? The only thing that the Primrose has going for it is its location. It's close to everything, but I will pay more to stay elsewhere the next time I visit Toronto.

| The good part: The hotel is in a great location and I got an excellent rate through Expedia. And the room itself was satisfactory and clean for this class of hotel. The bad part: Only four elevators serving a very full and large hotel made for some long waits to get in and out. Also, the hotel garage was full, which created considerable inconvenience. Next, in order to get a non-smoking room, I had to accept a room with two doubles instead of one king, which was my preference. Finally, the front desk person on check-in was just short of rude even though i was perfectly polite and accepting about all of the above. Even so, I would recommend based on location and price. If you dont get hung up about the need for a fine lodging experience, this place gets the job done

| There is much in this hotel that needs renovation- particularly room decor- but the ambience is friendly and warm and the neighborhood offers many pluses such as good food, many great short walks (good after a full day's work), and convenient transportation (or a moderate walk) to downtown.

| This hotel has an extremely convenient location at a good price. The parking garage is slightly small and difficult to get in and out of, but it is hard to find parking elsewhere in the downtown area. Although the breakfast is not included, there are cafes in walking distance that are fun and affordable. The fitness room is also useful, although very basic.

| The lobby of the hotel is very nice. The staff were "ok" (not very friendly if you ask me). The rooms were good but you could tell nothing had been done in years to enhance them. Parking is $15 a night and they will leave nasty notes on your car saying they don't recognize your vehicle (even though you register) then a man comes after you just as you approach your car to load up wanting his parking money. Strange

| I too was extremely dissapointed in this hotel and embarrassed that I booked a group of friends here. The lobby is dark and old, the elevators are dark, slow and dirty, the hallways have peeling and chipped paint and filthy rugs. That bring us to the rooms. I had asked for king beds and told there were none. The furniture is heavy dark wood with huge gouges in them and handles dangling off, or not on at all. The bathroom was awful - mildew and peeling wallpaper. The beds were rock hard. I couldn't tell if it was the front desk clerk that was slow or their computer. Need to downgrade this hotel to a one star.

| I was very disappointed in this hotel. I had reserved a room with a king bed (also was priced different) and was told upon check-in that I would only get a queen bed. The room was dirty and in need of updating. The furniture was very old and damaged looking. The bathroom had mold growing in it. I had asked in advance about internet access and was told the whole hotel had access. Well except the floor I was on. The next day I changed rooms and was put in a room with a king bed but a smoking room. The room was a little cleaner and the only good point was that the bed was triple sheeted (the other room was not). Furniture was still in bad shape and two of the chairs in the room you could not sit on as they would fall apart. Internet access should have been available on my floor but talking with other guests it was not. I hope at sometime in the future they update this hotel as it is in desperate need of it. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. I will say the staff was very frienly and helpful.

| Overall, this is a nice place to stay. We didn't know there was a $15/day underground parking charge. The garage was EXTREMELY small! We rented a small SUV, and could hardly drive in the out, not to mention parking the car. The staff was very friendly. We shipped 4 UPS packages prior to checking in, and they took care of them for us until we arrived. The complimentary breakfast was not to be praised. There were hardly anything served. The hotel was close enough to almost everything, but if you are going in the winter, you DO need car to get around.

| The Primrose is a good value for its price. I liked the fact that the hotel is close enough to all the major attractions, but far away enough from the loud traffic of the main streets. Additionally I really enjoyed my window view of the CN Tower and other parts of the city. I was only disappointed that the ice and snack machines were out of service on a number of the hotel floors.

| Over Thanksgiving, I stayed for a few days over at the Best Western Primrose Hotel in downtown Toronto. My friend and I were told that because hotel parking was full for guests (they apparently have an underground, secure parking lot), I was told to park my car in the "Staff Parking Lot." After giving us directions, we found ourselves in the back alley of the hotel and pulled into what was a questionable parking lot. After verifying with the front desk that I had parked in the right place, I ignored my instincts and went to my hotel room. I could actually see the parking lot from my hotel room (it was located right off the street, behind some apartment complexes) and I could identify my car. Two days later, I went out to my car to leave Toronto. My rear door window was smashed in and someone took some items that I had forgotten to take out. My friend went back in and got a refund on the parking that we were charged, but I felt that I should have said something more than that. As a guest, we have a right to be given the same amenities as all the other hotel guests. Instead, we were given directions to park in what I think was the seediest parking lot - even if it was staff parking. Aside from the parking experience, I found my stay to be generally good. I enjoyed my room and the privacy we received. The staff was courteous and its proximity to Yonge Street is very convenient.

| This hotel was a bargain compared to the conference hotels. It was farther from the conference center than the other hotels but the subway was very convenient and fast. The hotel provided a nice jogging map which showed an excellent route that I never would have found by myself. I jogged to some of the attractions on the map and also did the jogging route and really got to see a lot of the city. The hotel staff was very helpful in storing my valuables while I was out jogging.
