This hotel is situated on a lovely, uncrowded beach and is conveniently close to the airport and downtown. Despite its location, there is little noise from airplanes during the night and early morning. I have stayed at all three hotels on this beach and think that this is the best.

The beach was great. The hotel location was very convinent. The dinning was not so good. There was low end food at the bar, and way too high end food in the resturant. Would have been better to have a simpler menu with many choices for all.

This is an old hotel and it shows. Room supplies were hit and miss. Sometimes there was no shampoo but lots of lotion and twice towels had to be rquested from the front desk (to be fair the towels appeared to be straight from the dryer). Expect a long wait for food, 30-45 minutes seems to be average. The beach is good and the ocean is calm and the veiw is great from all rooms. Cruise ships drop off here frequently but its not a problem, they liven-up the place. The music could only be heard in the bar and it wasn't Carribean. Friday night buffet is authentic Carribean food so be sure thats what you like before spending $30 each. We really enjoyed the food in the restaurant(Italian style). We enjoyed watching the planes take off and learned to tune out the noise but for some it could be an unwelcome distraction. The airport closes in the evening so nightime was peaceful. There were several weddings during our stay and the lady officiating told poeple they could not walk or swim behind the wedding pary and nearby children were asked to be quiet, for the duration of the wedding and the picutures.

This hotel is well maintained and rooms are cleaned regularly. All rooms have a fantastic ocean view! The beach is beautiful and secluded with crystal clear water and soft sand. The hotel staff are a little relaxed in their approach to service but are not unfriendly. You can walk to this hotel from the airport if you don't have too much luggage and you can walk to the end of the road and flag down a bus that will take you to Charlotte Amalie for $1. The continental breakfast is great for light eaters but you can also order regular breakfast food at a reasonable price. We would stay here again.

Lots of mosquitos! The cleaning crew leave the door open while cleaning and letting all the mosquitos in the dark hallway to get in the room. The beach is nice but would not go back again.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of our room. It was not very clean. The mirrors were dirty, and there was stains on the bed linens. The pool and restaurant were okay, but not very impressive.

Hotel is only about five minutes from the airport, right on the beach. Nice size pool. Restaurant offers good food, but in my opinion, a little expensive. Would go back again.

Arrived in St Thomas on Thursday May 5th, 2005 stayed until Monday May 9th. Hotel rooms were great, the beach there was even better. Continental breakfast was wonderful every day-fruit, muffins, bread, cereal, juice and coffee. Snorkeled the beach there everyday. The rooms were cleaned daily, the rooms safes were a nice ease when you didnt want to carry all your valuables. Iguanas and small gekkos/lizards were everywhere and good entertainment. The swimming pool was fabulous in the evenings. The ocean was unbelievable, always a crystal clear blue/green. Great for viewing sea urchins, trumpet fish, coral, a small baracuda and many many various colorful fish. Waters were always calm and the sun came out every day, even when there was a forecast of 30% chance of rain. We were with a party of 10 and it was fabulous not a single complaint from anyone. The hotel would also be ideal for just a couples getaway. We are already discussing our return trip.
