My family recently returned from a week's stay at the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort. We had a fantastic ocean view, room/hotel was very clean. The entire staff was very accomidating and knowledgable. We spent most all of our trip right at the resort - there is something for everyone to enjoy. The location is great - easy access to everything using the bus. Taking a taxi from the airport was only $20.00 for 4 of us. Much less than the $80.00 for taking the shuttle. We all had a fantastic time and will definitely stay there again.

My family and I stayed at the Hilton Cancun during the middle of July. Our stay was extremely pleasant. We decided to stay at the Villas instead of the rooms in the main building. The Villas had quick access to the beach and pools. They also came with breakfast included and afternoon appetizers. The views from our rooms were amazing. The turquoise water and white sands were all we needed to start our vacation. The hotel staff was very attentive and friendly. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We spent most of the six days by the pool or beach. We did take a day tour to Tolum and Xel-Ha. Both were wonderful experiences. We highly recommend this hotel. We can wait to go back!

This hotel is beautiful, and has the perfect staff to provide the perfect vacation, on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You can just lay on the perfect white sand, or plunge into the gorgeous turquois waters. I found beautiful shells on the beach while my grandsons braved the waves on the boogie boards. We couldn't have chosen a better place for their first visit to the beach. But I forgot to rave about the gorgeous swimming pools where the waters flow from one to the other, creating a peaceful setting when you want a break from the sand. I also must mention the wonderful restaurants in this hotel. The food is great whether you want simple fare or haute cuisine. A visit to the Hilton Cancun Golf & Spa Resort is a must.

It is the familiar Hilton Resort, but in Mexico! The view from any of the rooms is spectacular, down comforters with deluxe service. And the food...usually hotel food is well just hotel food, but the Hilton Cancun has pulled off outstanding restaurants beach side, pool side and even in the lobby for breakfast coffee. You must eat one meal outside at Mitachi. The service is superb and the food to die for. If you are lucky and eat late enough you may even see the sea turtles on the beach. If you like cigars you can purchase a Cuban and enjoy it for dessert. We will certainly be back!

Also the gym, tennis courts, soccer field, etc. are a step above others we had experienced.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. We stayed in the Villas and would recommend it to everyone. It is a little more costly, but the complimentary continental breakfast and evening cocktails and snacks are worth every penny. The staff was wonderful and really made an effort to get to know every family that stayed in the villas and always offered good advice for places to visit and places to eat. The beach and pool were beautiful with plenty of room for everyone to stake out their own little spot and the hammocks by the villas were wonderful, especially under the stars at night.

Hotel room, pools, other facilities, and services are very impressive. Every room has ocean-front view and 7 pools are clean and beautiful. The only complaint is food. The food quality of Hilton's restaurant (especially Pizza & Pasta) are less than expected. I hope they improve the menu and quality of restaurant and offer 'all-inclusive' like other hotels nearby. Anyway the view from the pools are stunning and I recommend this hotel to other potential tourists.

I can't imagine a better stay anywhere. The service was outstanding, the room was immaculate, the food was great, and the view of the pool and the ocean from our terrace was breathtaking. I'd go back to this hotel in a minute. Every single person on staff, from the wait-staff at the pool to the servers in the restaurants, even the workers and gardeners were as polite, as kind, and as eager to please as they could possibly be. The concierge staff was amazing, even getting a pharmacy to deliver some allergy medication for my daughter at midnight for a $1 delivery fee. One other plus, the bedding at the Hilton is luxurious! Treat yourself to room service for breakfast. The continental breakfast is so generous that we ordered 3 of them for 4 people and had food to spare! This hotel is at the quieter end of the Cancun hotel zone, perfect for families or those shying away from the college party crowd. But the bus can get you to the action in less than 10 minutes when you are ready for that!

We went on our honeymoon, and can't wait to go back. We hope everyone is O.K. now since Wilma. We returned from Cancun Oct.11th. You have to stay in the Villa's when you go. You get so many free meals, drinks, snacks (without all inclusive). If you are a lizard lover, there are many Iguana's sunning around the villa's. We have pictures laying right next to them. They even let you feed them by hand (They like pizza). Can't wait till our 5 yr anniversary to return to the Hilton Villa's.

The hotel is fabulous. The only problem I had with the hotel was with ants in our rooms. My four friends and I had three rooms. There were ants in each of the rooms. The ants were under the bed, on the desk, in the bathroom, in the closet and in the coffee pot. If the hotel solved the problem with the ants, I would highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel and service were superb! We stayed at the villas and not in the main hotel. It is just a little bit more expensive, but the free breakfast and the cocktails and snacks (which is almost like a dinner) in the afternoon were really good and included in the price, so you do not have to pay a high price for a all incisive or compromise with the quality of the hotel. Here you can get the best of both. The rooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable. The kids had a blast at the pools and the beach. We were not bothers by any sales people in the hotel what so ever. The staff was helpful and friendly. Two thumbs up! Some tips for the attractions: We took a guided tour and went to see Chichen Itza, but if I had to do this again I would rather rent a car and go by myself. The organized tours are very limiting. The bus stops only at places for tourists and it is impossible to stop and shop at local villages for authentic arts and craft. Also since the bus had to be back in Cancun by 5:30 p.m. the actual time to walk around and see the ruins was less then 2:30 hours. I feel the same way for visiting Isla Muheres: do not take organized tour ($40 each ticket). You can buy two-way ticket for ~ $10 from the marina and the rest can be used for activities. The $ 40 only covered the boat ride, the drinks on the boat and a lame lunch consisting of hot dogs, burgers and French fries. Every thing else (bike ride, scuba diving, swimming with dolphins etc) was extra).

Overall, I was very pleased with the rooms and the pool area. My husband and I ordered room service and we were very happy with the food (he wanted pizza..even in mexico). The views of the ocean from the room were beautiful. I don't know how you could get a room with a bad view. The pool area is very spacious and there is even a special pool just for volleyball or water polo. I liked the fact that there was a lot of room for adults to play like adults (nice pool bar) but also plenty of room for people with kids to have a good time. My husband and I don't have kids and we felt there was enough space to move away from the family fun if we wanted to. Downsides, the pool bar closes at 6pm so if you like to drink cocktails late it isn't a good fit. It was fine for us and it kept the complex quieter in the evening. Lastly it was a bit of a pain to check in. I was feeling ill at the time so we tried to get in a room at 1:30 instead of 3pm. The hotel wasn't very helpful and only offered us a room if we wanted to pay 160 dollars more. Eventually we did get in the room a bit early though. Overall a great experience. I would recommend to friends and especially those who like to golf since the course is right across the street.

My first trip to cancun was a delight. The Hotel did have an impressive lobby and pools. The beach on the property was pretty good except they could have more tiki hut umbrella for folks. Sun rays are very sharp there. I got one of the interior villas. Villas are not independent but a bunch of high ceiling rooms in a 2 storey building. Try to get the ocean front if you can. also the separate breakfast area for villa folks is pretty good except there is not variety in morning breakfast. In room service took a long time and pretty expensive. .

We had a great week at the Hilton Cancun and since our school holiday was late this year (the first week of April) we saw very little of the drunken college crowd that Cancun has become so famous for during Spring Break. The Hotel grounds were very nice, complete with large iguanas sunbathing in the grass. At the recommendation of other Expedia travellers we booked two rooms in the Villas and were very pleased with the large, clean, "insect tight" rooms. The breakfast and other free refreshments were fine -- nothing fancy and a little boring but it was nice to have the private Villa lounge. Beware though that the bar serving staff is very unskilled and had to look up how to prepare even a vodka tonic. The margaritas were made with Sprite.

Had a great time at the Hilton Cancun in April '05. Beautiful & well maintained grounds, clean rooms, excellent staff - overall a great trip. Hotel's restaurants were average but there are many others in area via bus or taxi. Hilton is away from hustle and bustle of 'hotel zone/downtown' so quiet but still convenient to get around. Pools were great, pool bar expensive but convenient. Pool chairs filled up early with towels but always founds shady/sunny spots to meet our needs. The ocean is the bluest water I've ever seen. We stayed in villas which included breakfast, snacks & happy hour w/appetizers. Would stay in villas again - room are bigger than those in actual hotel & they have great view of pools and ocean from large decks. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our kids -ages 7 and 9 - had a great time, too. Can't wait to go back!

Just back from a stay at the Hilton Cancun Beach and Golf Resort. As far as we could tell, the hotel is just a hotel, but the villa rooms are a great value. They are larger rooms, with much better bathrooms, and a nice balcony. The included continental breakfast and happy hour are much nicer than we anticpated. They also have complimentary snacks during the afternoon, and after dinner chocolates. A nice bonus was meeting others in the common area. The pools (7) are outstanding with plenty of chairs and tables.
