| The location of the hotel is very good. The staff is very good. The lighting in the halls and the room are very BAD. I could not read in bed because the lighting was so bad. The hallway lighting was so bad I couldn't find my key card in my bag. I was creepy.

| If you prefer noise and lights, stay near Times Square. 70 Park is a "European" hotel ~ small, with very friendly & helpful staff. Room was very nicely appointed & clean, the bath small, but very thoughtfully equipped, tasteful & clean. Murray Hill on a weekend has the feel of a neighborhood ~ the tourists are over on Fifth or elsewhere in the city. Reasonable cab ride to theater district, Lincoln Center, NY Public LIbrary, museums. If the weather had been better, many attractions were walkable distances. Good restaurants short walks away.

| We chose this hotel because of its location. And was nice for the kids. We were all able to walk comfortably from Grand Central station to the hotel. It's very nice. They put on a complimentary wine reception, however, the adjacent bar and room service was, of course, expensive. It was nice though, to avoid the crowds of Times Square by staying here.

| The hotel's staff was first rate. We arrived very early and the staff went ahead and allowed us into our room. The room was clean and overlooked Park ave. The large screen lcd tv was a shocker. The closet is an armoire, but it is fine for a several night stay. Cordless phones and a dvd/cd player were nice additions. The water pressure is not that great in the shower, but thats not a big deal to me. The nightly wine reception is a nice touch as is the lobby sitting area. This is a New York city hotel, so if you are looking for peace and quiet at night, good luck. The street below (Park Ave) can get loud with traffic at night. In our case, the heat/ac fan created white noise and drowned out most of the sound.

| Convenient to Grand Central Station. Small but cozy room - never did warm up though thermometer said 72. Restaurant very slow, understaffed. Friendly desk and concierge. Free internet downstairs. No wait for elevator even at busy times of day.

| They say location is everything and that is why we should stay on Park Avenue but I was disappointed. This was my first trip to NY and the rooms were not impressive compared to the others in this price range. The service was so so but they did have a wonderful door man! I wouldn't recommend if this is your first trip to NYC but it would be good for business trips.

| The service was very good up until the check-out. The front desk entered the security code incorrectly in my AMEX three times causing a security alert on the card. Otherwise, everything was great. I would highly recommend based on amenities and location.

| We'd never been greated by a cold glass of white wine upon arrival, but we were here. Staff at 70 Park Avenue is responsive and polite without being stuffy. The rooms, though on the small side, were well appointed and comfortable. The only thing missing was in-room coffee, but there's a place half a block away. Centrally located but pretty quiet, we highly recommend this hotel.
