This hotel met our primary needs of comfort and budget. The little cafe is outstanding, if I had discovered it earlier, I'd have eaten there more often! Parking was tight and difficult to maneuver but we always found a spot.

Polite staff. One of the busier motels in Hotel Circle. Easy drive to Sea World and Old Town SD. Specific driving instructions to destinations are given at check-in. They directed me to a PF Chang's China Bistro when I said I was craving Chinese! yum! Clean room. Amazingly quiet, considering how bustling a place it is! (we were there during a spring break time. Lots of families) This is the 2nd time we have used this hotel. I have no problems booking there again.

We stayed for 4 nights, in a room with a kitchenette. The room was clean and decent. If I had any complaints, it would be that there wasn't a dish rack to put the washed dishes on. I would definately stay there again. The location was perfect, it was in the middle of everything we needed.

Nothing fancy, but clean, remodled and quite. Shuttle service was nice. We were a little leary when they didn't come get us at the airport, but on the second call, we were told to take a taxi and the motel paid for it. The conciere tried to get us to use a local car rental place for twice the money as Enterprise just 1 mile away when we wanted to do some site seeing. The one Great! thing about the motel was the restaurant located at the motel "Pan Pan" has great food, friendly service and moderately priced. Everything we ate there was excellent.

The room was ok, but the maid wasn't too cleanly, she didn't clean the tub until we were leaving. She kept forgetting to replace toilet paper, etc. Although in fairness when we asked the desk for it they brought it right up within a few minutes. We paid extra for a kitchenette, but there was no toaster, and the seal on the refrig. needs replacing. We brought ice cream and it melted in the freezer. The shuttle service was above and beyond. The driver had time, so he drove us to the supermarket, and came back for us which was not included in the shuttle service.

The room was overbooked, which was 2 queen beds with a kitchenette. The trade option was not an acceptable option (to a room with one double bed and a couch). The shuttle service was less than acceptable... we were left waiting over an hour for our pick up at the designated spot... I suspect the driver forgot to stop at our location, but of course wouldn't admit it.

First time to San Diego for my two boys and I. I wanted a hotel that picked up from the airport and would shuttle to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. My pick up from the airport was timely. The shuttles ot he Zoo and Sea World were very timely as well. You have to plan your pick up time carefully given there are only certain pick up times. Shuttle drivers were very nice and courtious. The only problem I had in the room was the bathtub not draining, minor porblem however. The room was clean and the service was excellent. Very nice pool however it is only 5ft deep at the deep end. The restaraunt at the hotel was not too overly priced and the service there was good as well. I would stay here again.

It was a great hotel. The shuttle ran three times a say to the zoo and seaworld. There was a problem with the shuttle to the airport but they paid the taxi fee so we wouldn't miss our flight. The drivers could direct you anywhere, helped you book tours and made great recommendations. Also, it was 4 blocks from a major transit station if you didn't rent a car.

I booked this room at the last minute for a holiday weekend. I was really pleased by the ammenities offered at this hotel. I would come back to it again, especialy if I was staying longer than just one night. I recommend the rooms equipped with a kitchette. They were completely stocked with everything from pots, utensils and dishwashing soap. The pool was heated and even included a BBQ grill for guests to use. A great feature if you travel on a budget and want to dine in instead of going to restaurants. One drawback, the older construction of the building means you can hear every single person walking by the front of your room.

We stayed in this hotel in 2002 and were dissapointed in it's cleanliness. I accidently booked it again for this stay but was not disappointed. The rooms had been recarpeted and were much cleaner than previous. Would definately request a 3rd floor room because it will not be the quietest place to stay. The elevator is SCARY but did get us there. Laundry room is convenient but there is no change machine and is too hot to stay in. Location is convenient to both the Zoo and Sea World. Front desk supplied us with directions to local attractions. I would skip the shuttle and drive your own car for the option of coming and going at your convenience. Hotel parking... there will always be a spot for you but it is primarily for tiny cars. Not compact, tiny. I would stay again. Not a luxory hotel but clean and convenient.

there were ants in the room, there was duck tape patching the bathtub. The fridge leaked all the time so the floor was always wet. There was trash and toys left from the previous guests that was never taken out the whole week we were there. The outdoor pool was hotter than the spa. You could not cool down at all. The toilet plugged every time you flushed.

This is a good hotel and the price is right. The only problem is that it's a 3-story wood-frame building and if you're on the ground floor, you hear a lot of pounding up above. It might be better on the top floor. Other than that, everything is ok. The "Kitchen" is a combo fridge/stove unit stuffed into the corner of an ordinary room, but it was nice to have. The pool was heated nicely and the hot tub is good. The adjoining restaurant will do in a pinch. Most San Diego attractions are within a short drive from the hotel.

My only real problem was that it took 2 trios to the office and a phone call to get housekeeping to return with the above mentioned items when they obviously ran out 2 days in a row. I didn't carry these things knowing that hotels supply them (good enough products for a week on vacation). I took a shower then realized they didn't leave conditioner that day, I went to the store to buy some for my curly hair that I can't get a brush through without pulling alot out. The next day they didn't restock the towels, toilet paper, shampoo or conditioner. When we came back from a day at the zoo, we wanted to shower before going out for dinner. I went to the office 2 times and then called after 1 1/2 hours went out without showering (not cool).

This hotel was in poor condition everywhere! My room was semi-clean, but the fumes from some sort of cleaning product seemed to be masking something. The shower knob was full of mold, and so were the walls of the tub. The bed shook when people were walking by outside, although it didn't matter since the bed was uncomfortable. Was told the wireless internet worked on the 3rd floor, had problems all the time, then was told later that it definitely doesn't work up there by someone else. Was told the manager would call me when he got in the day I left, let's just say I am still waiting for the call. This hotel needs to get thier stuff together! Besides the bad...the rest of the staff was friendly but not very knowledgable.
