We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the grounds immaculate! We enjoyed the smaller salt water pool and the larger pool as well. It was a 5 minute walk to Disneyland which made it a perfect place to stay while visiting Disneyland. We will return here next time.

Howard Johnson's is a great place to stay for going to Disneyland. The location is very reasonable. My wife & teenage son are disabled, and it was a pretty easy walk or push with a wheelchair to Disneyland. We did try the Anaheim Resort Transit, but it was hit or miss whether they had a bus with a working lift. But the walk was reasonable. Staff was friendly, & appeared eager to help with planning & organizing outings (we went to a baseball game - the stadium is a 5-6 minute taxi ride away.) The gift shop is super! You can get food, gifts, and it has a good selection of medical supplies (they actually had moleskin we needed to protect our son's feet as he broke in a new pair of brace!) We definitely will go back to this hotel.

Our room had a refrigerator so we were able to store milk and juice for our breakfast.walk to disney is not far. if you have someone in your party who cant do the walk, disney has a free 15 minute drop off pick up area. This hotel is a great deal and we will be back. Captain kidds has a buffet that is reasonable kids 10 and under get discount

it was ok. a place to sleep. room was clean bath had an old smell to it but clean. there are no elevators in most buildings so if you have lots of luggage or intend to be returning late nights with sleepy children be sure to request 1st floor. also 2nd fl has sky lights that allow sunlight in at 6am. light sleepers request 1st fl. otherwise excellent location we walked to park everyday. tons of eating around. front desk very helpful.

Booked at the Howard Johnson Plaza Anaheim when I was unable to book the hotel that I regularly stay at. It turned out to be a pleasant experience. We had a room with an outstanding view of Disneyland and would have been able to enjoy the fireworks display from the balcony had we not been in the park every night during the show. The room was clean and very comfortable with a small refrigerator and coffee service(an in-room microwave would've been nice too, though.) The beds were quite comfy and we were all able to get well rested for our long days at the parks. There are 2 pools which is very convenient, and the one that we used, located on Harbor Blvd. was very well kept. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Mimi's Cafe (which is our favorite breakfast place) is situated directly across the street. This hotel is conveniently located. The walk to Disneyland and California Adventure didn't take long at all. I'd, certainly, stay here again!

We had a very good trip! We had a four night stay and was very please. We requested a microwave for reheating stuff and had it in less then 15 mins. The only exception was that the bathroom didn't have a fan and everytime you took a shower the mirror would fog up! The walk to the park was maybe 10 min. and that was casually strolling. We would definitely go back!!!

This hotel was really nice. It's made up of six or so buildings surrounding various courtyards and two pools. The main pool with the children's pool and fountains were great for our 4 and 6 year olds. The walk to Disneyland is about 10 minutes. The little store in the lobby was a Godsend. They have just about everything there.

Sure the 5 was behind us, but with the AC going and after a day at DL...we couldn't here anything. I think for a 2 1/2 star hotel...you can't go wrong with this hotel!

This was my first time to Disneyland and staying at this Hotel. I dont have any bad remarks for this hotel or my stay there. The walk from the hotel to Disneyland was short. The room was exceptionally clean and cozy. Staff and front desk was always available to help. Convenience store was the best little store I ever been in. They had everything like food, medicine, laundry detergent, souvenirs and really friendly workers. The pool was nice and we could see the Disneyland fireworks from the hotel. Renovations to the hotel main lobby were still going on while we were there (so, no game room). But other than that, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again.

We booked this room because we wanted to arrive a day early and the other hotel we booked was full. We got a very decent rate, the room was well kept up, the staff was very friendly. Even though it was located adjacent to the freeway, the room was very quite. We had stayed here in the past, but the rooms had become a bit ratty. Since then, they have upgraded. The grounds were beautiful and the walk to Disneyland wasn't too bad.

This hotel is located 2 blocks from Disneyland which made it very easily accessible. There is also a McDonald's along the way, so you can always find cheap food. It is right on the bus line and ART line making getting around Disneyland a cinch. We made several trips to Target and Albertson's. The room we had contained a small refrigerator. It was perfect to store beverages and snacks. There are pools, a wading pool, and a spa pool for the guests. There is also a place to store your luggage for free. Really the only thing was when you entered your room, it can be stuffy because the air conditioning has not been turned on. But, after turning on the air and opening the windows, the stuffiness disappears.

Had a very nice stay there, with in walking distance from Disneyland. Only slight problem the pool area stays open to the kids and adults til midnight, soooooo, if you wanted to sleep before that time all you heard was Marco Polo. They were very helpful and switched our room the next day to the other side, much quietier. the bathroom floors need some work, looked a little moldy but it could be just ground dirt, other than that big rooms, nice beds, nice accomadations. One last thing there was no security , with out side access to the public.

Nice place. The staff was wonderful, the room clean, and the property well maintained. No bugs, as were mentioned as a problem in some hotels. Best of all is the location. Easy walk to the theme park. Where else can you watch the nightly Disney fireworks from the poolside hottub? There is a fun family restaurant next door with great food. The only drawback to the hotel is the noise from the nearby freeway that might be heard in some rooms, although not mine. I very much enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended!.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Hojo Anaheim. Even though we had to walk two long blocks to Disneyland, we loved it because we love walking. I pushed the stroller with my 15 month old daughter, my husband carried our 4-year old on his shoulders when he got tired. We avoided all pedestrian traffic by crossing the highway in front of the hotel and we were able to cut into the park at the tram area (which means we avoided all of the crowds walking from the main entrance crosswalk along that large main path.) They have more than enough free parking and are located right next to Mimi's Cafe (also a great place). They have a great little convenience store that is very well-stocked and was frequently utilized by my family. Being from Hawaii (and part-asian), our kids missed ramen noodles - lo and behold, they had different varieties of Nissin cup of noodles! The prices are better than Disneyland's, though a bit more expensive than a regular grocery store, but it was worth it for the convenience. The staff is friendly and helpful, but you do need to be a bit independent and proactive if you want certain things done (like grabbing a luggage trolley and lugging it to your room). One of the things that impressed us the most is how clean the rooms are - housekeeping does a fantastic job at keeping the rooms clean.

Along the walk are 3 sit-down restaurants and a fast-food joint. Location alone gets an A.

When we arrived a little before check-in time not only was the room available, they were able to accomodate our request for a room away from the freeway. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the room immaculate during our entire stay. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance go use the pool however the pool area looked very nice. Overall, our stay in the hotel was enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again if we're back in the area.

With just a 7 minute walk to the entrances for Disneyland, California Adventures Park, and Downtown Disney's main courtyard, this hotel has a great location. Good restaurants are within walking distance, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The grounds are well kept. Their store is well stocked with reasonable priced breakfast foods for in room breakfast.

Overall I have no complaints with the hotel. Our room was in building #1 on the 6th floor. When making reservations, request not to be in this building. It is next to the freeway, and most of the time it was loud enough that you thought there was no wall between you and the passing cars. The rooms were clean the staff friendly, it is a short walk to Disneyland, I would consider staying again, just not in building #1.
