Everything creaked or squeaked (air conditioner, toilet, stairs, floors, walls). Only after a debate were they willing to accommodate the elderly or handicapped (no elevator to the second floor). Customer service, they need a class. The price was the only thing decent, but if you pay for trash you get trash. Next time we will put out the extra money and stay at a reputable hotel and not a fleabag motel.

The best feature of this hotel is the location. It is across the street from the gondola and the casinos and a very short stroll to the beach. The bed was firm and clean and comfortable. The room was large enough to hold all the gear and still be able to walk around. Shampoo and soap were the only toiletries provided, so bring yours. Also, bring your hair dryer. The shower and bathroom were very clean, but the towels were small, thin & scratchy. Ask for pool towels...they are larger and softer. Indoor heated pool, outdoor heated pool, dry sauna, hot tub. They were all great.

This hotel is a bit older and the wear and tear shows a bit, but it's still well kept and the heaters will keep you warm at night. You'll save a bundle and it's literally across the street from the brand new, glitzy Heavenly gondola and all the shops around it. You could also easilly walk (or take the casino shuttle) to Nevada if you want to throw a few dollars on the table.

Reasons to go: 1. Hot tub 2. In south lake, near casinos 3. Not too expensive I'm sure no one thinking about staying here is under the false impression that it is some sort of luxury hotel. But it's clean and it's shelter. And it serves that purpose well. Plus there's free donuts and a pool and a sauna, although the sauna could have been much hotter.

Took my cousin skiing in March. Close to casinos and Heavenly ski area. Park at your door convenience and a good price for the location make this a perfect stop for a night or two on vacation. Not enough towels in the room and the bathroom fan did not work but other than that, no problems. Our special requests of bottom floor and no smoking room were honored and the personnel were very helpful on local eating places. This motel is not luxury, but clean and safe and very convenient. Comfortable beds too.

Except for the location (walking distance to the Heavenly Gondola) there is nothing positive about the hotel. we booked 2 rooms for 4 days and were so dissapointed that we moved out the same night we checked in, and moved to another hotel! And so paid twice for the rooms! The rooms are completely out dated and worn out. The bathrooms are a shame. The doorlocks are so flimsy and chead and gave an unsafe feeling. Huge difference with the pictures online!

They forgot to tell me the check out is 11am, I almost had to pay one more day. They also forgot to say the swimming pool closes at 10 pm. But it is very well located, very close to the Casinos. I would classify it as a nice hotel if you need a place just to leave your stuff and sleep.

Basic motel was as expected. Consists of several buildings, so it can be a bit of a walk to the outdoor pool out front, or the indoor pool by the office. Very close to Harveys (best feature). Only complaint is the narrow parking slots, making for a tight squeeze between SUV's when the motel fills up...

Water pressure in bathrooms were non existant and the temperature would change from hot to cold in seconds. Overall I would never go back.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I came up with 3 other girls celebrating a birthday and wanted something inexpensive, with a pool/hot tub, and close to the strip - the Holiday Lodge had it all, and the hotel staff was wonderful!! The hotel is older, but that was not an issue for us. I would recommend this hotel for someone looking to save some money but would like all of the amenities.

This hotel is in very poor condition. Our room included a door to the bathroom which would not fully close. The controls on the room heater were broken and we could not adjust the level of heat. Very heavy snow fell and the walks were not cleared the entire three days of our stay, and the drives were cleared erratically. The carpet was stained and the walls and baseboard areas were stained and had built up dirt. This hotel should be removed from the Expedia list.

If you are looking for an inexpensive CLEAN place to stay, this is it. The location is close to everything. Harvey's is about a 1/2 a block away. For breakfast; the Driftwood cafe is next door, right across the street is a Taco Bell express. They also have complimentary coffee, hot chocolate & donuts everyday. I will definitely go back. We stayed on 1/13/05 thru 1/16/05. The skiing was Awesome!!!

The Holiday Lodge has a good location across from Heavenly's gondola, however the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. The towels are thin, small, and cheaply made. The TV remote didn't work. The walls are so thin they might as well just have sheets between the rooms. While it sounded like they had many great amenities, the whirlpool, small indoor pool, and continental breakfast were sub-par. The whole week I kept kicking myself knowing that I could have probably paid $10 more a night and had a vastly superior hotel experience down the street at the large casino hotels.
