| Our family of four had a wonderful long-weekend vacation here. Check-in/out were handled very well. Staff answered all our questions in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. Our room was kept clean, although the housekeepers did not restock our bottled water regularly. And bottled water is important here! We went on several excursions offered through the hotel and were pleased with all of them, especially the snorkeling. We found the food average, at best, but the restaurant settings almost made up for this. The beach area is well-stocked with chairs in the shade and sun. Only problem with the beach area is that it is enclosed. This means fewer vendors bothering you, but no easy access to beach wandering. Overall, we would return again.

| This hotel was really great for what it was - A very affordable, all-inclusive, mid-level resort. The pools were absolutely beautiful and the perfect temperature. The staff was so friendly and worked hard to make sure all the guests were having fun. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were large. But DO NOT expect to find a 4-star resort. The resort is fairly run-down - peeling paint, broken chaise lounges, old wicker furniture, etc.. The beach is small and on a cove. But the worst part was the food. It is terrible at the buffet, which is your main source of meals - (even the basic hamburger was inedible) - The tex-mex and italian restaurant for dinner were both pretty good (olive garden/chevy's level)- The good news is that if you want to drop a few pounds - you'll do it here. Overall though, my husband and I had a relaxing week, playing in beautiful pools, drinking tasty cocktails and having a great time, without breaking the bank. I would recommend it for people who don't have a lot of money, but want a nice relaxing vacation.

| I had a wonderful time at Costa Caribe. The food was tasty, the beaches clean, the service pleasant and the accomadations exactly what to expect. The staff was so nice and had so much energy. They really want you to be comfortable and happy. Of course there were problems with the water temperature or that they attempted to make Italian food that came out just wrong....it isnt perfect, but considering you are in a third world like country the place was amazing and beautiful. It is well worth the money and you will have a great experience. Oh yea, its a great place to go for couples, groups or even families with children.

| The Hotel and it's staff work hard to make this a home from home place to stay. The Hotel and it's grounds are attended with care and attention by it's staff, but the infastructure of the facility is showing signs of aging and the effects of the prevailing weather conditions. The small beach and swimming area's are just right for the amount of people present in early March, but I wander what the situation would be when the Hotel is full. We enjoyed our stay but would not probably want to return.

| My family and I have traveled several times to the Carribean. This was our first visit to the Dominican Republic. We loved the island, our hotel and the excursions we took. We were only able to book one through expedia (horseback riding at Guavaberry) which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also went to nearby Catalina Island, went ATVing which we loved as well, but booked through the hotel. Our only complaint was the week went by too quickly!

The people were so friendly and, the staff were so attentive. We didn'nt even want to sleep at this resort because, there was so many things to do and, so much to see. If I listened to all the bad reveiws that I read before I left for this vacation then I probobly wouldn't have gone. So here's a tip to you - Don't listen to the bad reveiws - chances are - they are wrong. Judge for yourself.

| had several problems at the hotel. First they gave us a wrong room with no view. Later they changed it to a sea-view room. Next day morning there was no water in the bathroom and the phone did not work. 90% of the people did not understand english. So to make them understand that there is no water in the bathroom was an exercise. Theres nothing outside the hotel. The beach has large stones/rocks if you go in the water. Lot of locals just wandering inside the hotel. Pay a few hundred more and go to punta cana or bahamas or somewhere else. Buffet was not good but the tex-mex food was good.

| Hotel room was ok. Nothing fancy but comfortable. Good beach and not too crowded. Always found a palapa to sit under when not in the water. Waters in the beach were nice and warm. We didn't have any problems with our room as far as the water or temperature is concerned but our friends room did have a water leak in the bathroom. Except for the average quality room, the hotel grouds and the pools were great. Non motor sports were good. tennis, badminton, miniature golf was good too. We went snorkeling in the nearby reef and that great(extra charge). Overall there was a lot to do at anytime of the day. 5 days seemed short for us. Food was ok. we are vegetarian and found somthing or the other at each meal. Desserts were good. We enjoyed the fresh fruits at the buffet. Don't forget to try the coconut water and sugarcane. Absolutely best !! Resort would become really nice if they remodeled their rooms and added more choices of food at restaurants and buffet specially vegetarian !!

Too many beach sales peddlers, and annoying time share sales people pushing promoting vacation programs. They would not give up, even we told them everyday we are not interested. 4. Our room balcony view was obstructed by fire escape stairs. 5. Casino has minimum $5.00 slot machine play. You must buy their tokens, the machine makes no change. 6. Very limited tourist shopping near by. 7. Sewers smell right at the toilet in our room, and black out for two times of about ten minutes long. 8. Our room toilet could not flush powerfully, always worry about clogging. 9. No water for 45 minutes in the hotel. 10.Elevator is extremly slow. 11.Cable tv channel is very limited for English.

| If you want to stay cooped up in your room this probably isnt the place for you, but if you want to soak up the sun, swim, be entertained, and enjoy free food/drink ... Costa Coral is Great! ROOMS (C+): Nice looking, comfortable, have a good view, and a huge patio. However our shower had very little pressure, and took a LONG time to get hot, lacks niceties such as Internet connectivity, etc, but there is a mini-bar however with some free soda/beer. FOOD (A-): The snack bar is pretty bad, with some stale tasting food. The other restaurants however are fantastic. Ambar was our favorite, we at there nearly every night, various types of food, all very tasty and served in a nice atmosphere. Entertainment (A): First off, the chocolate friends make this resort! There is always something to do from Water Polo, volleyball, water aerobics, "crazy games", Spanish lessons, and a nightly show thats nearly Broadway quality. This is amazing. The free(non-motorized) watersports are fun, but get old. Other activities are low cost and very fun. BEACH (B+): The sand was nice, the water very warm/shallow, and calm due to a fake coral reef. Unfortunately though there was lots of seaweed in the water once you got out a ways. OTHER INFO: A little Spanish helps, but most people speak English too. The Locals: A lot of locals visit the resort Sat & Sun which can result in crowded pools, lack of frozen drinks, etc. I would recommend visiting on the week personally, but we enjoyed the entire visit.

They don't make it clear what you can and can't have as part of the all inclusive, so ask for specifics! Make sure that you don't drink the cans! You will be charged for those. | As an all inclusive resort, this hotel took advantage of the fact that they have no financial incentive to provide high quality service. Since everything was already paid for, the "included" elements which were a small subset of the implied components were generally under delivered and unimpressive. I would recommend taking the additional cost of this "all inclusive" resort and applying it to better quality a la carte amenities at another resort.

| The Caribe Coral Hilton was all inclusive as they advertised. Drinks were available at all times. Food was easily accessible. There were many things to do on the beach too. We could kayak, raft ride, scuba, snorkel paddle boad, windsurf, etc. Anything without a motor was free. There was also miniture golf (if a little hokey) and the casino was available, though we never got a chance to use it. The music was so lively. The best part of the weekend was the incredible party on New Year's Eve. Stage in the water, tables on the beach and a seafood buffet to die for. The only thing I would have liked is wait service on the beach. I like having more service when sunning. I also would have preferred a larger frozen drink menu. I missed frozen margueritas. In addition, due to a handicapping condition some of the ingress and egress requirements to restaurants and bars required extra walking which was soemwhat difficult at times. Overall, it was well worth the cost.
