The hotel is a nice facility, but the service leaves something to be desired. We checked in late and the desk staff didn't seem to be interested that we were there. We went to see the Dale Chihuly exhibit at the Missouri Botannical Garden and it was great!

We loved our stay at the Millenium. We had an awesome cocktail waitress at the Martini Bar who gave us tips about where to go and free concerts at the Arch. Room service was prompt and delicious. The 4th street grill served wonderful food. The only part of the trip we would not repeat would be visiting the revolving rooftop restaurant for Sunday buffet style brunch - way too expensive. Definitely not worth it! Even for the view! Altogether, our trip was outstanding. Parking at the garage across from the hotel is worth it to leave your car and walk to all the attractions. Every hotel staffer we came in contact with was polite and accomodating.

We stayed at the Mellinium for 4 nights. All the employees were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, 1 block from the arch and 1 block from Busch Stadium. The only thing that could be improved upon is directions to outerlying attractions and resturants. We would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I stayed in a deluxe room with a great view of the arch. The hotel is a little older, but the room suited us just fine. When we go back I do not think that we will pay for the upgraded room, it was ok but it was nothing too special. The hotel is conveniently located near Busch Stadium, you will not need to worry about a taxi or the hotel shuttle. The right field entrance is less than five minutes walking time from the front door. The only thing I really have to complain about is the age of the hotel, the wait time for the elevators, and the hot temperature of the elevators.

This hotel has a nice lobby and exterior, etc. The rooms that are not in the tall tower are small and cramped. The bathroom did not have any counter space to put our toiletries on. The gates to the indoor pool were locked with chains during the day and we finally saw people swimming in it later that night. The pool was visible from the atrium, but very difficult to actually find how to get to it. They need better signs. Also, we didn't have a "Do Not Disturb" sign to put out so that the maid would not come in while my husband was in the shower and the kids and I were gone.

All of the hotel employees were super friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a nice view of the arch from our room. The room itself was OK--I prefer rooms with vanities outside of the bathroom--but there was no vanity in the room at all (that is my only complaint if you can call it that). The pool was very nice and it was great to lay out in the pool area and see the Arch. Nice restaurants are within walking distance if you don't have a rental car.

This is a nice hotel to stay at and the location is great! We were within walking distance to just about everything we wanted to visit. The restaurants are very good too. The only downside we found was how old it is. The toilet reminded us of when we were in school. It has the old handle flush. The tub was really small also, along with the TV. We stayed on the 9th floor in the tower. We had a great view of the arch.

The hotel was the perfect location for the attractions we were going to visit in downtown St. Louis. The hotel itself was less than perfect. I would definitely avoid this hotel in the future.

Recently had a 'girls' weekend and stayed at the Millennium. We stayed at the economy end but was treated as high-rollers. Started the weekend with a very helpful bellhop. (do they still call them that?)He gathered all our bags-you can imagine 4 girls and all the stuff) and checked us in and delivered them to our room. Later we discovered a problem with one of the doors. The same fellow checked up with us later and when told of the problem, he arranged to have it fixed. We were going to just adapt but was so very nice to return from the opera and find all was perfect. Definite big plus points!!

It depends on what brings you to St. Louis. If it's business or perhaps a honeymoon that seeks five star accomodations, then maybe you should shop around. If it's a Cardinals baseball game, then I would definitely recommend this hotel. The stadium is one block away and parking is very convenient. The rooms are always clean. I've stayed their dozens of times. The price can't be beat, especially among the hotels in downtown St. Louis. If you're looking to have a great time taking in a Cardinals baseball weekend, check into the Millinneum!

This is the worst hotel stay I ever had. I have experienced about 300 different hotels prior. The hotel was old, smelled moldy in odor, dirty carpets in the corridor, the room was dirty. The bathroom had hair in the tub and when the toilet cover was lifted the toilet seat had brownish red stains on top. After complaining about this the maid supervisor brought the maid and cleaned the room without any comments. The seat was still soiled and dirty after we came back to the room. The staff was rude and unattentive and showed reckless attitude including the front desk manager. From the hotel room to go to the lobby downstairs we waited ten minutes for the elevator to arrive and finally took the stairs. The stairs wound down through the building like a tunnel filled with cob-webs, cigarette buds and was filthy.

I had planned to use their exercise room but it was equipped with very little equipment. It wasn't worth the effort. The TV in the room didn't work because it was unplugged. I looked behind the dresser for the plug and discovered paper cups and dust a quarter inch thick. The bathroom toilet bowl was scratched and in bad shape. I'm sure my wife would have rejected the bathroom. I had dinner in the revolving restaurant. The view, liquor, service, and appetizers were excellent but my steak was average and undercooked. I've had much better steaks at Outback which is a chain restaurant.

The Millenium Hotel is in a fantastic location and is a great hotel...HOWEVER...I was extremely let down by the staff. For breakfast we weren't informed of the layout, price or that they had run out of a lot of items on the buffet. Room service took an hour and a quarter for a single piece of chocolate cake to never arrive (I cancelled the order after being told it was on the way up at the 45 minute mark). I will recommend the hotel for the rooms and restaurant upstairs. I wouldn't go with room service or the breakfast buffet downstairs.

Nice hotel, great view of the arch from inside my room. Only things I would improve: If you have rooms with great views, then take the time to keep the windows clean. I drove 350 miles to get there, and my windshield was still easier to see through than my hotel window. If you have a large influx of teens staying at a hotel, then have someone periodically walk through the place to make sure there isn't running around, yelling, and such going on at 4 a.m. Finally, $16 a day for parking is quite high, mention that in the ads for the hotel, and it wouldn't be as objectionable.

I would not stay here again. It was basically clean, but small and noisy. There was LOTS of raod noise outside our tower. Front desk staff was not too friendly or helpful, they barley looked at us checking in or out. Best thing was non-smoking rooms in our whole tower. Most helpful were the bell staff who recomended a nice place for brunch off property :) If I had this to do again and with more research would have chosen another place but expedia will not allow me to say the other hotel here, lets just say that nice big old 1800s one close to the sightseeing rail / train ride.......

Rarely do we stay in a big city hotel. Our reason to travel to St. Louis was a college graduation. We were apprehensive because we knew there were baseball games all three days we stayed at the Millenium and it was just about across the street from the stadium. We had a rental car and had to park in the deck that shared game traffic. It all worked out fine with us coming and going in the midst of sports fans. We booked weeks ahead on Expedia, and still got a great price and great room overlooking the "Arch" on the 7th floor.

This hotel and the appearance of a 1st class hotel with friendly and eager staff including doormen, bellhops, etc. Huge comfortable lobby was great to sit and view the Gateway Arch about 1 block away... full view from top to bottom was visible. Of course, that was about all that was great. The room was run down, even in the North tower deluxe rooms. I got a room on the side of the tower that had a view of only the freeway... no downtown or arch... very disappointing. They didn't warn me or ask me if I might want a change. You get what you pay for I guess. The gift store downstairs couldn't break a twenty. The shower was okay but built for a 4 foot nothing person. One phone had not jack and thus was not usable. The fitness room is in a bad location if you're walking around sweating... right in the lobby. The internet access in the lobby costs an arm and a leg. Local calls are ridiculously expensive. Quick check out though and comfortable stay. The room service food (I got appetizers) were excellent.
