I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency. It is very close to Waikiki beach and is walking distance to many restaurants and shopping centers. The hotel is very modern in design and the service is outstanding. I've been to 3 other hotels in Hawaii, and this one definitely stands above the others. Aloha!

In comparison to other hotels in the area with the same hotel star rating the Hyatt was substandard for the price tag. The bathroom fixtures, counters and towels reminded me of a lower hotel chain. The shower was poor as well. The activation lever only allowed half of the water to come out of the fixture while the other half filled up the tub which left your feet standing in a pool of water. Nothing impressive about the quality. The coffee filters were not in-site and had to be requested. Most hotels offer in room coffee service included in the price however coffee supplies are charged a mini bar fee. One plus was the quality bedding and pillows which did give me a quality sleep. During my visit the temperature was in the 80's yet even with the airconditioning set on high it never cooled the room down. Another disappointment was the hot tub. Clearly it holds 6-8 adults and when it was full the other hot tub remained closed leaving you to wait for someone to get out. If your looking for full access to the facilities beware that conventions, parties and special events often rent out the pool area leaving you high and dry without access usually around 10pm.

I will always remember this hotel as the place where my fiance proposed! The good: Very convienent location, friendly staff, nice/clean rooms, quiet. The bad: Elevators took too long (up to 10 minutes!), and paying for parking (I know it's the norm, but ridiculous nonetheless). All in all, I would stay here again.

The Hyatt is a beautiful hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 5 nights and 6 days and had a great time. The only thing I would find fault with is the breakfast buffet at the Terrace Grill. It was VERY pricey and the food selection was very poor - only scrambled eggs, which were cold, bacon, sausage and potatoes. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again.

The Hyatt Regency was a fantastic hotel. The service was great and our room was very nice. We had down pillows and comforters and the beach is right there. You dont have to walk far just across the street. We also received a free breakfast buffet every morning we were there. The Hyatt is also right by the International Marketplace. We had such a great time. I definitely would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Wow...what can I say! This was my first time visiting Waikiki, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed with the Hyatt. The layout of the hotel was really neat, with the first 3 floors being very open and inviting. It's not your typical hotel where you enter the hotel through the door, and then are completely enclosed in the hotel. And it's really quite nice with a cascading waterfall and its light, open feel. There are two large towers to the Hyatt, and our room had a (mostly) complete ocean view. But even the "city view" rooms are nice. The rooms are quite large, and each has it's own balcony. The bathroom was a slight disappointment however. It was kind of small, and somewhat outdated with an older tile/grout floor. But the sink and mirror area is quite large. Also, the bathroom area could have used a bit more lighting. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but it sagged a bit in the middle. But then again, I prefer a rather firm mattress, so that could have been my perception. But overall, the room was clean, comfortable, and I immediately felt at home for my 5-night stay. I had free buffet breakfast every morning, and the food was really good, and constantly changing. The pool area was also a significant plus. A smaller pool, but across the street is the Pacific ocean, so I can't complain. The bar was right near the pool area, and they had nightly live music to entertain. You can't go wrong with the Hyatt. I highly recommend it!

Had a great stay at the Hyatt. This hotel is directly across the street from Waikiki Beach. The staff is very accomodating. The down side is that anything purchased at the hotel is very expensive. But there is an ABC store on the grounds, which is very helpful. Food at the restaurants is just OK, nothing spectacular. Love the views of Diamond Head and downtown.

We stayed at the Hyatt for 4 days, great stay, service was great and the people were friendly, would stay here again. Room was big, had view of the city/mountain, was alright, stayed on the 31st floor. Watch if you leave you sliding door open to the balcony, bird might fly in, we had one that almost did. We asked for a late check out and they did so with no problems or extra costs. You do have to pay for the coffee in your room, it is in the mini bar. Rained alot while we were there, but still plenty to do and see. Location was great for the beach, shopping, dining, ect. Would stay at the Hyatt again in a hartbeat.

The reason I would say this hotel didn't receive a five rating from us was our lanai looked out over a roof deck that had some trash on it and it took a couple of days for them to clean it up on the maintenance side of the staff. The front desk was very helpful with all of our needs. Sometimes the music from the outside bar had too much bass and it could be annoying. I would stay there again but ask not to be so close to the bar.

We just got back from our vacation this July and was greatly impressed with Hyatt Rejency Waikiki. It is close to everything (beach was just right in front, various restaurants and shops are just walking distance). It is a bit pricy (no microwave and additional charge for a small fridge) but the ambience and the proximity to all is a great plus.

We went to Hawaii for the first time and it was just the best vacation! The location is great where the beach is literally right there. It's great walking distance within everything too. The hotel service was awesome; we left for each day's activities and always came back to a freshly cleaned room. The activities' desk downstair helped tremendously with our trip. We told them what we wanted to try or see, and they planned out everything for us. The breakfast buffet was also great; they even remember my name after the first time! Extremely friendly place. I would go back again in a split second.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki for 13 nights, and I was very impressed with the hotel, the employees and the service. I requested a room on the highest floor available so that I would have a good view, I received a room on a private floor, with a great city/mountain view, and I also had a partial Ocean view. The room had very recently been renovated and everything was just great. The promotion that I booked was "Sunshine on sale" which also included a very nice Breakfast/Brunch each morning of my stay. The food and service was very good, and the thing that impressed me was that the staff remembered my name after the first time that they saw me...nice touch. This was my 26th visit to waikiki, and although I have stayed at many very fine hotels there, this was the best. I had the impression that because this was a large property that the service might be impersonal, but just the oposite, and the facilities were very well maintained. With variety of restaurants in Waikiki there is a place to dine for every taste and pocketbook.I will return to the Hyatt Regence Waikiki again!

Good place to stay. Get a room with ocean view, its worth the money! Hotel restaurants are not all that great and expensive. But, there are enough eating places right outside the hotel, and nearby FOOD COURTS, so, thats no problem. If you are driving to the hotel, hotel entrance is on a side road, so make sure u ask someone about that part unless u want to circle as roads are oneway.
