| We picked one of the rooms with a King size bed. It was a bit larger than most hotel rooms (or at least seemed large due to a seperate bedroom) and was nicely decorated. The King size bed is great, you can sleep with someone without even knowing it! At one point our keys were not working, even the cleaning lady tried to help us into our room! We went to the front desk, and were promptly helped. The hotel is right downtown Victoria, just a few short blocks from the inner harbour. We didn't have to drive anywhere, everything was within walking distance. Numerous restaurants nearby, and a movie theatre across the street. Apparantly the Dominion Grand Hotel is the oldest in Victoria, but you wouldn't have guessed it from the newly-renovated rooms. Nice hotel, I would recommend it to anyone.

| I know you get what you pay for in life and this time I wish I had paid a little more. This place is a dump. The walls are paper thin. The only heating came from a three foot baseboard heater. I requetsed a hair dryer and after waiting patiently for 30 minutes I called again and was told that he forgot my room number. Incompetent staff, old hotel in drastic need of upgrades so I suggest pay a little more and get a better place.

| The hotel was good for the price. The location is great! Walking distance to everything. Cool remodeled old hotel. Still has traditional keys, not cards. No safe. Small room with ok bed. Thin walls. Staff was friendly. Water heater went out the morning we checked out, so no shower before going to the airport :(

| The place is pretty old, the rooms were small and remind me of my years at university. I got the feeling though that they were really trying though things were pretty clean and quite. Just didn't have a whole lot to work with.

| The hotel was plain and rooms were rather small and sparse but for the price, it can't be beat. It's also near the Inner harbor and the night life near the hotel is also vibrant.
