We were happy with the location - right across the street from Disneyland - since that's why we were there. The suite was large and comfortable with a microwave and frig., the bathroom and shower were fine. Our only complaints were that the TV reception was bad and the pool heater was broken. That really bummed us out since the weather was chilly for spring and although we knew that the pool was small and there wasn't much of a lounging area we did expect to have warm water to swim in for when we took our much needed breaks from Disneyland. Oh and the breakfast was really lame - bad danish, bad oatmeal and toast and hard boiled eggs.

Everything I had read in previous reviews was acurate. Perfect location, spacious rooms, modern bathrooms, pleasant breakfast, but mostly the conveniences of walking 5 minutes to the park is invaluable. We did have an issue with the view suite that we had booked not being available when we arrived, but the manager did everything she could to compensate us for the inconvenience and the regular suites were more than adequate. If you can get a view suite, the Disney firework display every night could be watched from the comfort of your room. Had a great stay!

But for what it was it was good. I've never stayed in a Motel, very different experience. Children running down the outdoor hallway beginning very early in the morning! You can hear anyone who is outside. I find it odd that the doors of the room face the outside of the building. The room was very clean and well stocked.

This hotel is actually closer to Disneyland than most of the Disney's own hotels, for a fraction of the price. You get what you pay for, and this is definately a cheap alternative to higher end hotels but it is clean and the staff is great. For example, our shower broke at 11 at night and they had a guy come down withing 5 minutes and fix it.

After reading many reviews for most of the hotels near Disneyland, I decided to book this one. I was very pleased! I was a little nervous since most of the other hotels in the area ended up having some negative reviews. But most of the other reviews for the Carousel Inn were positive. The room was clean, bathrooms redecorated and richly modern. Parking was a little scarce, but being there on a Wed. and Thurs., we were always able to find a spot. The location was perfect - just 3-4 other hotels between the Carousel Inn and the entrance for walking into the park. I was worried about having to walk accross a huge parking lot. That is not the case - there is a walking entrance and it is very close to the hotel.

I have stayed at the Carousel before. This time we stayed in one of the view suites. It has an excellent view of the fireworks. The kids love the pool on the roof. The condition of the rooms is fair. The bathroom was small and the room was a bit cool. The continental breakfast was adequate. What really is great about this hotel is their customer service. The front desk staff and other hotel workers are ALWAYS friendly and helpful.

We will definitely stay here next time we go to Disney.

We were overall happy with the hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and the only real complaint we had was the hot water situation. 2 mornings we had to wait between showers because we didn't want to take cold showers. It would also be nice if they had more than 3 washing machines and dryers. Our baby was sick one night and I had to do laundry and ended up waiting forever and still never getting to a dryer. The rooms were spacious and clean.

We had been reading every review of every hotel due to a bad experience at another hotel previously. I have to say we stayed at this hotel because of the price I got from expedia as well as the good reviews, and I am glad we did.It was perfect for us. The location couldnt be beat. The parking was fine we had a choice of spots. The room was great for what we paid. I love the bathroom, its big and lots of lighting and mirrors, very updated. We utilized the fridge so we could save ourselves some money at the park!! The continental breakfast had a wonderful view and the food was great we had toast, muffins, danishes, fruit, oatmeal, juice and coffee, I will say it was a bit packed in the breakfast room, but we ate right before it ended 9:00 AM and the room was clearing out at that point. My only negative remakrs about this hotel was the shower head is really low and we had a room in the 2nd building which had 2 floors and no elevator. But we managed. It was great for the money and location we will come back next year for sure!

When others say parking is limited, they aren't kidding. Given the number of rooms, I'm suprised they can get away with so few spaces. Plan on walking everywhere and keep your treasured space if you are lucky enough to get one. Also be aware that most of the motel begins on the second floor (parking is on ground level under the building. The location is its best quality!

Because of the low star rating I was a little leary to stay, but at the recommendation of a Disney employee & because of all of the positive feedback online we decided to try it for our family vacation to Disney. We asked for a room w? 2 queen beds and to our surprise we got two seperate rooms- we didn't have to watch cartoons w/ the kids! The room had a fridge and a microwave- a real money and time saver. The free continental breakfast helped to cut costs as well. The price of the hotel was unbelievable. I've read bad reviews about the shower heads being too low but I am 5'10"& my husband is 6'5"& we had no problems(just point it up higher!) The hotel was well updated and maintained for an obviously older hotel. We didn't have to bus or attempt to park at Disney they even let us park after we checked out for the day! Great hotel, awsome price!

We stayed in this hotel for a week in October of 2005. Our room was on the bottom floor and had a lovely little bench right outside and a little pond just beside it. The only things that I would like to mention that are negative are that the shower head is definitely a bit low, even our 13 year old daughter had to bend over to wash her hair under the shower head; parking is a bit sparse however the guy at the counter told us that we could park anywhere, that they don't enforce the no parking signs; and lastly the reception on the tv is a bit fuzzy but we hardly had it on anyways. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

I was very impressed with this hotel considering how old it is. Well because of some mixup due on their part, they gave us a junior suite. We loved it, thought we were not crazy about passing smokers on the stairways. It is a non smoking hotel I think. they could beef up the breakfast a bit, some milk and cereal at least.

I am very picky about where I stay but friends recommended the Carousel Inn so we thought we'd give it a try since we were trying to do Disneyland on the cheap side. What a happy surprise. Though it's not fancy, the Carousel is clean and modern. And since we were traveling with a preschooler, the fridge and microwave certainly came in handy, as well as the simple continental breakfast they provided. The location certainly can't be beat - just across the street from the Disneyland parks. It was so close that we never moved our car the entire stay and we were able to go back for afternoon breaks with ease every day. Speaking of parking, one thing I liked about this hotel is that parking is carport-style so your car is not exposed to the brutal sun all day long. Our room had 2 queen beds - certainly enough room for 2 adults and 1 preschooler. I think it would have been too cozy for 4 adults because the bathroom space is tight. There is only one sink outside the toilet/tub area, so not much elbow room. As picky as I am, I would definitely stay here again.

All at a reasonable price!

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was in close walking distance to the entrance of Disneyland and close proximity to other restaurants. We got the room we requested and thought the room was nice. The only problem with the room was that our AC unit was leaking and leaked all over the carpet which made the room smell bad. Other than that, the room was very reasonable on Expedia and it had all the amenities you need. Perfect place to sleep at with a very reasonable price.

I was empressed for the nice price we got on expedia. We plan to go back again and again.

The access to the rooms was via outside walkways with a railing. If you don't like heights, you would be uncomfortable with this way of getting to your room if you are on the upper levels. We asked for a room on the first floor and were lucky to get one. Room service seemed a little inconsistant. No coffee one day, no wash cloths another day, no soap another day.......... however, the room was clean. The TV picture was poor. Our cable was damaged and had to be repaired, but the picture was still poor even after the repair. The continental breakfast had fruit, pastries, toast, oatmeal, juice and coffee. Adequate, but cold cereal, milk and a microwave would have been nice additions. Because of the reasonable price and nice location to Disneyland, we would consider returning to Carousel Inn again, but only if we would be guaranteed a room on a lower floor.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel even though there wasn't enough parking spaces. I was given a room in the smoking section even though I requested a non-smoking because of my daughter but the hotel was booked fully so that's what I get for checking in late. I wasn't pleased with the shower head, which got water all over the floor. Unfortunately, I was unable to sleep in due to kids running around in the room above mine. Other than that, I loved the furniture and sliding doors. The space was perfect for me and my daughter. I will definitely be booking at this hotel for awhile. Highly recommend this hotel for overnight or 2 day stays!! It was a few feet away from the entrance to the Disney Resort!!

This is a great hotel to stay at if you're visiting Disneyland / CA Adventure. It's a short walking distance away (literally across the street), there's free parking for your car during your stay, and it's clean and well maintained. For my family it offered a great balance between convenience and dollar value. You won't be sorry if you stay at the Carousel. The one bad point was that the continental breakfast was very very limited, and of low quality. Coffee & juice, cheap breakfast rolls & muffins, toast, instant oatmeal, apples & oranges is all that is offered.

This hotel was great. It was the cheapest price and literally a five minute walk to the Disneyland gates. Their service was awesome. We had a room that was not in the tower but across from it so there was no noise at all. I'm not sure if in the main tower you would hear more noise above and around you since the pool is on the roof or not. Bathroom was gorgeous-all new marble. The beds were very comfortable and everything was decorated very nice. Good to have the sink outside of the shower area. And a nice half-sized fridge. Only thing I can think that wasn't the best was that the showerhead was really low. I would say that this is NOT a hotel for the extremely tall. I'm 5'4 and the water was pointed at my chest so I had to lean over a bit to rinse my hair. I definitely am going to go with the Carousel next time we visit Disneyland, it is definitely the best value out there!

Right across the street from Disneyland/CA Adventure. Don't need to pay for parking or wait for a shuttle. Can't beat that. Thier continental breakfast was basically sugar--muffins, danish. No cereal, which was a bummer.During our stay, dirty water came up out of our sink drain whenever the person upstairs turned on their water. It was very gross and got all over the floor. Maintenance came and were pleasant and spent over an hour to fix, which cut into our Disneyland time. The room was also very small. The location was great though.
