| We went for a short vacation and were really glad we chose the Windsor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were a lot of restaurants in the area and bus or taxi service to take us where we wanted to go. We valet parked the car and never had to use it until we were ready to come home. Overall, very nice experience.

| This is a very old hotel in the heart of the City. It's age shows, but the rooms are huge and most have a full size refrigerator, oven, range and microwave. The air conditioning is barely adaquate, but cools the rooms down enough to sleep at night. Not a place for hanging around in the day time. Staff is fairly eficient. Stay here for the large room and kitchen, not for a comfortable bed and lots of pillows

| My wife and I decided to go into Philly for the 4th of July and wanted to stay close to the fireworks. We chose the Hotel Windsor because it was close to the Art Museum and I am sure glad we did. The best part about it was the kitchen that it had in the room. Full fridge, stove, microwave, etc... This really made it easy and a bit cheaper when it came to meals. We didn't have to eat out for every meal, even though we did for most meals. They have a great Chinese restaurant that you have to visit. The hotel was very close to the fireworks which made it great when they were over, it felt great when we could just duck into our hotel when the crowd was still walking. For the price of the room, I think it is the best value for my money that I have ever seen in a hotel.

| We chose this hotel because we like a little extra space and were looking for suite-style accommodations. The location of this hotel is great . . very close to museums and shopping. Although the hotel is older, we enjoyed our stay. Any time we needed anything (extra towels, coffee for the coffee maker, reservations for the double decker bus tour, assistance getting a cab to the airport, etc.), the hotel responded pleasantly and quickly. Bathrooms were a little outdated. Kitchen area and bedroom were fine. Roof-top pool hours were limited . . only open 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Overall, we were satisfied with our accommodations.

| Due to a late flight, we checked in at 1am. Even though the reservation was for a non-smoking room, we ended up in one. After a trip back to the front desk for a new room, then back to the old room for my wife and suitcases, then up 6 more floors to the new room, we could finally rest. The front desk wasn't too helpful the next morning either, when we asked directions for a nearby cafe. Otherwise, a nice hotel. Quiet, good location (walking distance to Independence Mall in one direction, the Museum of Art in the other), etc.

| If I had been paying full price, I would have been disappointed. The room was large with a kitchenette, which was great. But the air conditioning didn't cool the room enough --it wouldn't even work on high. The linens were so-so, and the bathroom seemed old. Great location though, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I ran into frustrations with the parking garage next door (long waits and surly service even just to retrieve something from my car), and then learned that there's another garage around the corner that was $7 cheaper each night.

| If I had to go back to Philadelphia I would definitely stay here again. It is a suite hotel so you get a small kitchen with a dishwasher. There is a convenience store just round the corner and a supermarket a few blocks away so it was no hassle to get supplies. The hotel is central and its just a short walk to the main shopping area, museums and sites. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The wardrobe was actually a small room with an iron and ironing board! There was a lot of storage space. The staff were friendly, efficient and pleasant. I liked the fact that you needed a room key to use the elevator so people could not just walk in off the street and get to the rooms easily. The hotel was very peaceful and quiet. There was a skyscaper being built virtually outside our window and you couldn't hear the building works at all in the hotel! It was great.

| Beyond the fiendly staff, our window led to the roof, which made us feel unsecure. They do not supply rooms with luggage racks. Bathroom was not clean, especially the tub with old dirty caulking. Toilet overflowed and maintenance had to be called. First day, they did not provide us with maid service, had to call desk once again! Around kitchenette area near refridge was disgusting. May have had an ant problem in the room before our arrival, had some remaining ants lingering around the lamp on the nightstand. Have stayed at budget hotels before, but for the price we paid, it was not suitable.

| The rooms were a decent size, tons of closet space. Full size refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, cookware and dinnerware all in the room. Good hotel security as well, you have to use a key card to access the elevators up to your room. The only thing I was dissapointed in was that only the one floor is smoking, and I rewuested a smoking room and did not get one. There is a Whole Foods market a few blocks away, a 24 hour convienience store around the corner, several places to chose from only a few steps away. Very nice area to walk around in, and the museums literally are just a few blocks away. You can take a cab to see the historical sites but if you just want to see the liberty bell and such it's only about a 7 or 8 block walk, not that bad at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll definately be staying there again when I travel to Philly.

| My room at the Hotel Windsor was immaculate (except for one closet) and had a nice view of city skyscrapers. Although the room was large and had a kitchenette, it lacked a chest of drawers (clothes had to be put on shelves in closets, of which there were several) and there was nothing but the floor on which to put a suitcase. Service was adequate, tho the housekeeper did not bother to exchange the glass I used in the kitchen for a clean one. I was in Philly for 3 nights and 4 unseasonably cool early summer days, tho the room did get stuffy. However, the air conditioner in the room was quiet and adequate, if old fashioned. Breakfasts were another matter, although included in the price of the room. Limited choices of cereal and bread, bagels, or muffins. Few choices of fruit, watery orange juice, weak coffee. And the breakfast room closed at 9:00 am. The Asian restaurant in the hotel was very good for lunch and dinner. The hotel is within a minute's walk of the Academy of Sciences, Moore School of Art, a 7-minute walk of the Rodan Museum, and a 15 minute walk of the Museum of Fine Arts. It is about 25 minutes walk to the convention center and a cab ride or free city shuttle to the historic district. I found the hotel convenient and adequate if not a "find."

| The room was big, but not completely painted, and smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. There was a large closet that was essentially wasted space, and the staff was not particularly fun to interact with. It was, however, quite cheap, so if you're looking for a big, cheap room that's not quite polished, it's not an awful choice.

The shower pressure was a little harsh though (usually my criticism is just the opposite), but other that that the rooms are huge. I got a "suite" apparently that had a walk in closet and a nice kitchette. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asked.

| Overall, the stay was plesant. But the room air conditioning left something to be desired. On an 80 degree day in Philly, you neeed a cool room at night. The kitchen area is a godsend especially when you are staying several days. Full size refrigerator, microwave, stove. But the floor was very sticky when walking in bare feet or socks. Ouch. A maintenance guy disturbed me early in the morning to finish a plaster job he had started previously. I thought that was odd since the room, was preseented to me as "available". I stared at a burnt out light bulb above the bathroom sink, the entire 4 days i was there. You would think the housekeeper would see it. Could not find aan ice maching on the floor. Soda machine was 20 floors down. Think about it. Small things that add up to a not remarkable visit.

| The service staff were excellent and eager to please. I asked the desk personnel for directions twice and received accurate info. The hotel was being upgraded so some things were not as neat and nice as they would normally be. For instance, in our room, it appeared that a sprinkler system had recently been installed/upgraded. Also, the hotel advertises free wireless internet access. However, that access is not available in all the rooms. If that's a requirement, make sure you mention it when checking in.

| This is not a top notch hotel at a bargain price but a reasonable deal on a mid-class hotel. If you want a kitchen it is a great deal. Location is fantastic if you are interested in the nearby museums. It is beyond walking distance to the historical attractions of Philly but it is right on the tourist bus line that runs from the art museum to Penn's Landing. My biggest complaint is that there is no in-room safe for storing laptop and other small valuables. The hotel safe is not big enough to fit a laptop. An in-room safe should be a standard feature in every hotel. NYC hotels all seem to have them.

| As a constant traveler, I have stayed in various "star" hotles the world over. This hotel is FINE, but not amazing. The staff is adequate and the rooms are average, but there could be some improvements made to make your stay easier and more convenient. For instance, I stayed in a Smoking room, yet housekeeping brought me an ashtray 7 days into my 10 day stay??? The heating is inconsistent and made the room very hot and VERY dry. I found my self having to open the room's window often so as to not wake up sweating or covering the vent on the heating unit with wet towels. The hotel is a little noisy, in that the rooms' door slam shut upon letting them close by themselves, sometinmes so loud that I was awakened from adeep sleep in the middle of the night. There is only on restaurant attached to the hotel with an Asain flair. Should have more standard and affordable meals available to the clientele of the hotel. and Parking is 24 dollars a day...which i find a few dollars more than other hotels in the area. They should be more on top of supplying room with sundries such as dishwashing detergent and bathroom needs, such as facial tissues.
