| Fabulous hotel for someone seeking rejuvenation. It is the best hotel I have stayed in in the islands because it is well run, has a beautiful beach, outstanding staff and marvelous food. All at a reasonable cost.

| This is not a fancy hotel. The room was small, clean but adequate for sleeping if you're going to be out and about on vacation. The staff was friendly and eager to please, always helpful. My Husband and I were there for combination, anniversary birthday,a woman from the front desk went on her break to purchase a cake and balloon- to have it in our room post our days activity. Our room was just a step off the beach. The hotel also has a very nice full service spa, located right on the beach. This was a great place to stay for the price.

| Stayed for 5 nights Sept 2005. Good service, helpfull staff. Great location on very large, uncrowded beach (although it was off-season). Very hot on Aruba, open, non-airconditioned lobby. Room AC was fine however. Frig, safe, & coffee in room very helpful. No AC outlet in bathroom. High speed internet on two PCs in lobby - good but hot! Hotel arranged car rental through Discount Rental - They picked us up, good deal. Scuba operators: Mermaid Divers, Pelican Adventures - Both good, recommend Pedernales wreck site just offshore from high rise hotels. Overall, very good - I would stay at Manchebo again.

| I am quite disappointed in my stay at Manchebo. I wasn't expecting anything fancy but a clean bathroom floor would have been nice. This hotel is really scaled down. If you do book here to save money, splurge a little and get an ocean view. The "garden view" was awful. Also, bring your ear plugs; the air conditioning is loud enough to wake a dead horse. The staff is friendly enough but don't expect any type of assistance when planning your excursions. When my first choice of a snorkeling trip was full, I received no guidance to the other snorkeling trips available. Also, basic sandwiches stop being served before 5pm, and earlier if there isn't a demand. The only other food available after five is their steak house, which can really add up.

| The staff at the front desk of this hotel totally ruined my experience at the hotel - and Aruba in general. They were not friendly, and not willing to help with anything at all. The beach is great there - but it is the only positive at this hotel.

| Rooms need updating, maid service was spotty, some hotel personnel were unfriendly. Pool was not open enough ( they used the area for one of the restaurants ). No beach service, no area music during the day, except happy hour from 5-7 pm. No signs regarding the fact that service charges are not tips, misleading customers to believe they were leaving tips. Restaurant served food with heavy spice without any notification ( my partner got very sick ).

| Our ocean view room gave us a breathtaking view of the Caribbean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beach at the resort was beautiful and never crowded. It was a relaxing, comfortable place to stay. Sitting on the balcony in the morning or evening allowed us to enjoy the tropical breeze, the view of the beach and water, not to mention the different birds and iguanas that share the island. The French Steakhouse was enjoyable and a bus ride to downtown opens up many possibilities for more fine dining. Should we get an opportunity to visit Aruba again, we would definitely return to Manchebo Beach Resort.

| Manchebo Beach is by far the best beach in Aruba. Huge and uncrowded, there's always a palapa available. One of the best restaurants on the island is in the hotel. There's also a new spa that is simply fabulous, where I got the best massage of my life. If you want a super-luxurious hotel experience, don't go to Manchebo. There's no minibar and no 24-hour room service. However, if you want a relaxing, quiet time on a spotless beach with sugary white sand and gorgeous blue waters, go to Manchebo. I will be going back.

| The hotel and staff were wonderful. The rooms are basic but very clean with good appliances. The location is great, right on the beach with some nice restaurants within walking distance. One word of caution: don't feed the iguanas, I threw one cracker and had 9 iguanas diving from all sides within 30 seconds.

| The hotel conditions were satisfactory. From the pictures on the website, I was expecting a bit more. The beach was wonderful. There was plenty of room, and it was never crowded. The pool area was rather small. The restaurants on site were expensive with not much selection. The concierge desk was not very helpful. On the first night there we asked where we could go for dinner, and we were directed to either McDonald's or Wendy's. It wasn't spectacular service. If I were to return, I would look for somewhere on the High-Rise end of the island. There is much more going on there, and you don't have to travel into town to find restaurants or shopping.

| If you are looking for a low key vacation spot, this is it. Beautiful, quiet and large beach. You can leave your room and be on the beach in a minute, just watch for the iguanas (they are really harmless). Close to a casino, night shopping, bagel stand, pizza and more. The hotel restaurant was good for breakfast and a moderate lunch. Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms were always clean. The a/c worked well which was a plus. The new spa is very well done and reasonably priced, perfect for couples. Don't expect a 5 star hotel but you should be there for the beach and it is definately worth it, would go back again in a heart beat.

| If you are looking for a laid back, not crowded beach with relatively quiet surroundings on Aruba, this is one of the places to go. The beach is open and not crowded compared to the High Rise Hotels and has less kids running around. This makes the beach very relaxing and accessable for adult couples.

| I was completely impressed by this place. The service was top notch and the dinners at the hotel restaurant were quite good. The pool was average and not very busy because everyone was at the beach. The ratio of beach to guest is high and crowding was never a problem. The beach property is deep and at a point so you have very unobstructed views. Internet access and Wi-Fi access points were a plus. The "early bird" special dinners are a great deal too.

| The hotel was ideally located in the low rise section. We fell out of bed and were on the beach which was pefect (no one walking the beach selling you stuff). For those coffe snobs there is a Dunkin donuts less then 100 yards away.Great restaurant at the hotel and several excellent ones with in walking distance (one mile).Only disappointment was no fitness center or equipment was availble though advertised as such.Hotel staff incredible friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the happy hour

| This hotel provides a standard "best western" quality room in a low-rise hotel directly on a nice stretch of beach; rooms are fine (large & clean) but not luxurious. The hotel recently added a spa which provided excellent service in a relaxing Asian-style atmosphere. The only downside I noted was a requirement to "sign" a blank credit card form to "protect" the hotel in case of default; I had no problem with leaving a credit card imprint, but when I protested signing a blank form, I was told I would not be given a telephone hookup in my room. In this day of credit card fraud, I was not pleased with this requirement, particularly because I had prepaid the room in its entirety--hardly a default risk, especially when they already had my credit card number. Despite all this, the hotel's location and general cleanliness make this an attractive spot.

| The price is right, and the beach is perfect. The staff is friendly and the hotel restaurant is also very nice. The down side, is that the rooms are small, the air conditioning and ceiling fans are noisy, and room sound isolation is not very good. But hey, the facility is basically an old Best Western motel set down on a beach in Aruba. Also the hotel is a bit off the beaten path. Apart from the beach, there is not much that you can walk to from here - unlike the downtown and the high rise hotels. And so every time we wanted to go out to dinner or shopping away from the hotel cost an $8 cab ride (+ tip) each way...But the beach here is much much less crowded than those further north by the "high-rise" hotels, and is literally right outside your room door. So what the hotel may lack in upscale elegance, it makes up for in super close access to a seriously beautiful uncrowded beach.

| We arrived at 10:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. Although we were very late, we had a fabulous meal in the French steakhouse. In fact, the next morning we purchased a meal plan, the Pega Pega, from the hotel. We ate at a few different places during our stay but agreed that the food was the best at the French steakhouse. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a great value, superb service and a beach that rivals the high-rise strip.
