We were very happy with the room, pretty, clean, nicely decorated. The thing we were most happy with was the hotel's attendants. Both attendants we talked with went out of their way to be friendly.

I choose this hotel for the location and price. I was not disappointed. The entire staff was very polite and the room was clean. They have their own shuttle which is a great plus! The only bad point was the bathroom was small and coffee was terrible! But, there is a Starbucks close by! We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for a week on this hotel, traveled with my family to do some shopping and enjoy Chicago attractions on museums and city arquitecture. The location of the hotel is perfect, it is in the middle of everything, the area is safe and clean. You have a lot of restaurants around and shopping as well. Very friendly people on the front desk, confirming other reviews. Thanks, Hotel La Quinta Inn staff!!

The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Hot water in the shower took a while to show up and never did get as hot as I would have liked. Air conditioner was a bit loud due to powerful fan. It was convenient to the Woodfield Mall and about a quarter mile from the Interstate highways.

Great location, easy to get to the city and back. My daughter loved the pool, I liked the ice machines--when you bring your own "beverages" you need plenty of ice for your cooler. Rooms well maintained, housekeeping staff helpful. Daughter also liked the vast Woodfield Mall--every mall store you've ever heard of and then lots more! Staying here was a nice experience.

The La Quinta in Schaumburg is clean, inexpensive, generally well cared for and pretty standard comfort/accomodations-wise. The location is great, though I suspect a room close to the road could be quite loud. I thought it was a good deal.

Hotel sells tickets to Medieval Times so it knows when the show ends. When we were there they provided shuttle service to this event but when it was over and we called to be picked up the clerk at the front desk informed us that the shuttle service ended at 9:00 so we either had to walk back about 4 miles or pay for a taxi to take us back without them reimbersing us.

We came to Chicago for a family vacation in the downtown area. What can a family afford to do after paying even the discounted rates downtown? We opted to stay in the suburbs and commute in each day. We found La Quinta in Schaumberg modern, clean and full of amenities. We had a little mix up with the free ride to the rail station--they didn't take us where we thought we were going and had to change train plans. So be sure to understand only the Medinah rail station is in their 5-mile free ride zone. In general, enjoy this excellent property. And enjoy the ride into town, too. It is worth the savings (1/3 the cost of downtown) so you can see more attractions in the city.

I stay here everytime we come to the Chicago area on business as well as my annual Christmas shopping trip. Check in and check out are speedy and efficient. You won't be disappointed!

Property and service were acceptable over-all but the bed in my room was the most beaten up, worn out piece of junk I've experienced in quite some time. I've seen discarded mattresses and box springs on the side of the road that looked in better condition.

My family stayed here for 4 nights. While the room might be small compared to others, it is perfectly fine if used mainly just for sleeping. The room was clean, staff were friendly and attentive. Continental breakfast each morning was nice to have. The hotel is in a great location right off the freeway and close to many restaurants, Woodfield Mall, Target, grocery store, IKEA, movies, etc. Taking the hotel shuttle to the mall or IKEA is a nice option instead of fighting for parking. The drive into downtown Chicago is anywhere from 25-40 minutes depending on traffic. We will definitely stay at this La Quinta again.

If you enjoy being close to everything (malls, restaurants, grocery stores)and you don't want to spend too much on a hotel, then stay at La Quinta. There is a Wendy's, Bennigan's and Denny's right beside it. There is also a Friday's close to the mall. My husband and I were very impressed by how clean the room was. The room was not very large, but it was fine for us for those few days. The breakfast is great (eggs, waffles, bagles, and more). It is very filling. Schaumburg is a great city to stay in. We had a great time! If we have the chance, we will stay at this hotel again.

I was looking for a reasonable place to stay for an overnight shopping trip to the Woodfield Mall. La Quinta was clean, comfortable and the staff was very helpful. The fact that is was two blocks from the mall and many restaurants also made it nice. They also had a later check-out time of noon. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We always stay in Schaumburg when we go to Chicago so that we can shop at IKEA for at least a few hours and enjoy their Swedish meatballs. We were unable to book a room at our usual place, so we looked around and found the LaQuinta Inn on the Expedia site. The last time we had stayed at a LaQuinta was in Oklahoma City in 1991, so we decided to give it a try even though Expedia had only given the Schaumburg site two and a half stars.Fortunately, when we arrived, we found that the rooms had been updated, and there was internet service in the room. It worked for the Apple laptop that we had, but not for the PC. That may have been a glitch in our system, however. We were just glad that it was in the room (for no extra charge), not just in the lobby, as indicated on the website. The continental breakfast was just what we wanted, and to our delight, it included hard-boiled eggs, so it wasn't just a carbfest. The coffee was fine, and although there was a crowd for breakfast, there was plenty of food.If you need a late night snack, there is a Wendy's just next door, and if you need a movie, there is a large Loew's next to that. All in all, this was a pleasant surprise.

I stayed at the hotel for one night so that I could interview with a firm in the morning. The hotel offered a free shuttle anywhere within five miles of the hotel. This helped greatly since I was not familiar with the area. The hotel is also located about two blocks from the Woodfield mall. Very popular mall in the area.
