Sheraton Heathrow is perfect for a weekend in London. Close to the airport (easy shuttle bus to/from hotel) which also gives you access to the tube and the bus station. Great service normally expected from the Sheraton.

Tough hotel to get to from the airport. For a first timer, it was very difficult to find the bus to get you to the hotel. It's a public bus system that you pay for in order to get to the hotel. They do not have a Sheraton dedicated bus. The hotel was packed when I got there. Other than that, the room and restaurant were what you would expect from a Sheraton hotel. Some of the other hotels in the area looked pretty dumpy, so if I had to do it again, I'd probably book here. Especially since I know how to get to it now.

The Sheraton Heathrow is considered an airport hotel - and I guess it is as it's within the confines of the airport property - but it's not convenient to get to/from and it's always crowded. Though the distance from airport terminals to hotel is not really long, it's not walkable (especially with luggage). But the hotel doesn't provide a complimentary, dedicated shuttle. You have to purchase a ticket for the airport 'Hoppa-Bus' (3 Pounds one-way or 6 Pounds round-trip), wait for the right hotel bus (there are many that look identical) and ride this always packed bus to the hotel. Getting back to the terminals is no fun either. And the hotel is usually packed with long lines at check-in in the evening and at check-out in the morning. The hotel is fiarly reasonably-priced for this area (that's the good news) but since it's reasonably-priced it's the choice of tour groups, athletic teams, etc and this makes the lines long and the waits no fun. Rooms are OK, nothing special, and the hotel is getting a bit old. Soundproofing is good - important for an on-airport hotel. Not sure I will stay there again.

Some services such as internet access I would expect to be provided without charge at a business traveler hotel such as this. Check out lines were long and appeared to be due to a lack of front desk staff. For some reason, I was unable to charge the dining room bill to the room and asked to pay cash.Otherwise the room was convenient, clean and attractive.

Would suggest the hotel be down graded to a lower number of stars. The staff were nice but the building is old and tired. The room felt like a prison and the walls were extremely thin!

We were very pleasantly surprised with this Sheraton. It seems much nicer than the Sheraton's in the USA. Great price, great location, perfect for an overnight stop before an overseas flight. The bar and restaurant were very, very good in both service and quality. We would stay here again. It is NOT located near anything (a McDonald's is across the street) like pubs, restaurants or attractions but it is a very pleasant place to stay.

If breakfast would have been included it would have been very nice. Unfortunately, it was not.

Convenient to airport, take the "Hotel Hoppa" bus (make sure you get the correct number bus) and for 3 pounds you're there. Hotel was under renovation while I was there, so should be looking good by the time you get there.
