| The hotel staff is the friendliest yet still professional I have ever encountered.The special room rate and shuttle service to Albany Med. Center was a nice bonus also.

| I was in a room where the heating/cooling did not work properly and ran on and off all night. The bed was very uncomfortable as they don't use fitted bottom sheets so I ended up sleeping on the bare mattress. Since I was only there one night there was no reason to complain but I did fill out a local survey form with the same information.

| I was expecting more given the 3 star rating. Dirty outdoor pool (although it was a windy day) Although the indoor one looked OK. And a fan that wouldn't go off. Very small room. Try another 3 star

| This hotel was old and not particularly well maintained or clean. It was also a few minutes drive from downtown Albany so the location was less than ideal. It was affordable and adequate but I wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It definitely shouldn't get three stars, only two.

| The hotel was unkept, smelled horrible the moment you walked in and to top it off - they gave me a key to a room where two people were already staying. They were asleep in the beds!!! I couldn't stay there fearing the same would happen to me and I'd awake to a stranger in my room.

| Not too clean - e.g., the coffee cup had a very thick layer of disgusting dirt on it from the lips of previous occupants. The bed and pillow were uncomfortably hard. Most seriously, late at night there was some kind of disturbance in the hallway which involved breaking glass, setting off the fire alarm and pounding on doors (including mine). There was no explanation or apology from the hotel, even though many occupants had actually left the building when the fire alarm went off. I didn't leave the building because I was afraid to leave my room, since a woman had been out there 30 minutes earlier screaming that someone was trying to hurt her. (I called the front desk when she pounded on my door and they merely said, "OK," before hanging up. No call back, no explanation, no apology the next day). The hotel could have done a better job of notifying people of what was going on and reassuring them that it was safe. Even if they couldn't do that in real time, they could have - and should have - apologized to occupants the next day. And given such a serious disturbance late at night, in my view they ought to have offered a discount, even if only a nominal one. In its favor, the room did have a fridge and a microwave, which I, as a nursing mother traveling without my child, needed to use. In that respect it was worth it for one night, but overall I wouldn't recommend it.

| We arrived early with a 9 month old baby and they allowed us to check in early at NO CHARGE... The staff in every area was very accommodating and interested in our comfort. We felt so comfortable we'd got down for breakfast each morning in our slippers... We were in Albany house hunting for a relocation --- Our stay at this hotel only confirmed our decision to move... Thank YOU!!!

| The hotel needs updating. The management however was very responsive. I had problems with a weak signal on the wireless internet and they immediately gave me a different room and started working on the problem.

| My family and I came for a funeral. Since it as such a hurried trip, we decided to stay for 2 days to give the children some downtime. We chose the hotel because it was one of the few that had both a swimming pool and an affordable rate. Our children were very excited to swim. When we got to the pool, the room was extremely humid, a side room had mold growing up the walls, ants were crawling on the tables, and a dirty ring was around the pool walls. It truly made us sick to our stomachs. I would not allow my children to swim. It brought them to tears as their disappointment was great. They are young children so it was a big deal to them. I felt cheated and mislead.

| Besides the manager walking around nosing into everything, this was a very average hotel. The pool area was a bit dirty and the desk help was on edge (probably because of that nosey manager). Otherwise a clean room.
