| The hotel was in a perfect location -right across from a T-stop, across the street from Quincy Market and the Aquarium. It's a unique loft style setting. There seemed to be a large number of international travelers - always a different accent heard in the lobby so it made it feel more cosmopolitan. The room was clean and sanitary, the lower score was becasue the hardwood floors were a bit dusty and the fixtures in the bathroom weren't "detail cleaned" like a 5 star hotel would do. They had just replaced all mattresses, linens, and towels with brand new stock so it was truly fresh looking. The downside to the location is when you have a room on the street side because you hear the various sounds throughout the night. If you are not a light sleeper, then this would not matter. Rooms were unique and a nice change from a typical chain hotel. Harborside Inn is a great value in Boston!

| The design of this hotel is great and very unique. Cleanliness is poor. Wood floors were 'sticky' our entire stay. I complained about hair (not from anyone's head) in our shower the first night we arrived. I let the person at the front desk know that it needed a thorough cleaning the next day or we were checking out. I totally expected the problem to be resolved the following day - I was incorrect. Same problem, more hair of unidentified origin in the shower. It was our last night in town, so we stayed anyway. We will not be going back. The manager did say he would give us a discount if we ever came back and was very appologetic, but two days in a row after complaining is totally unacceptable.

| This hotel was in the perfect location. The subway was right out the door. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly and I liked the quaint atmosphere of the hotel. Even though there was alot of activity going on outside the hotel, once you were in your room, you didn't hear any of the noise on the outside. I would highly recommend this to people new to the Boston area.

| My fiance and I stayed at the Harborside Inn in Boston at the end of July, 2006. I checked out the virtual tour on Expedia's website beforehand and the room looked nice, with exposed brick and decent furniture. Our room, however, was a small rectangular room with windows overlooking a narrow courtyard of other rooms and directly at the elevator doors. The tv was in the corner so it was awkward to watch tv from the bed. I probably would not stay in this hotel in the future.

| This hotel was located in such a great place. The Subway (T) is right there, literally you could walk anywhere in Boston! The rooms were small, but just what you need, it felt like visiting a relative, staying in their guest bedroom. The bed was a little hard... ouch! We had an atrium room and it was very very quiet. The staff could have been more personable, but they weren't rude.. They checked me and and out, didn't really go above and beyond to say hi or bye.. We would stay here again!

| The hotel is in a great location, right of the Blue Line (T) & 2 stops from Logan. You can easily access Faeuil Hall, Quincy Market, the Wharf, North End and great pubs, restaurants & shopping. The rooms are SMALL & definitely request a City View (worth it). Cleanliness was okay but not stellar. Staff was decent (not rude as reported before). Overall, great location makes up for the minor drawbacks. It is NOT luxurious - 3 stars from Fodors/Frommers seems excessive. Definitely for the budget conscious traveler.

It's right near the harbor, Freedom Trail, and tons of fun bars. The bars next door were a bit noisy but if you are there for pleasure it's not a bother.

| Great location for Boston Touring. Ask for a Room that does NOT face the street though. The noise level of State street goes on to all hours of the night and if your a light sleeper it can be a trial. The hotel was kind enough to change rooms for our next few nights and all went well. Located right at the METRO very convenient.

| This hotel is convenient to many attractions including the USS Constitution and Fanuel Hall. There is no extra ammenities in terms of services, but it is a well maintained, attractive hotel. The room was very charming. Our only complaint was that one of the nights there was lots of noise out on the street due to people and traffic. It could have been due to the holday. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

There were a ton of great restaurants and bars nearby as well as shopping. The hotel is really cute, the rooms smell really good, the maid service was great, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I had read prior reviews on this hotel claiming that it was loud, but I have to say that I highly disagree. We didn't hear an outside sound the entire time we were there and we slept like babies. I would highly recommend this hotel to others; not only is it a great hotel but it was also a great value.

Chose Harborside Inn for that fact, but was very satisfied with hotel room. Doesn't have some extras like chains might(pool, had bar/restaurant but no signs with hours or food served, noone was insight). The room (atrium)wasn't very big, but had table & chairs, pull out love seat, TV, full bath, and brick wall gave it charm. The two staff that were on sight were very nice to talk with. Everything you could possibly want to do, see, eat, and/or drink is just a stones throw from your front door. No car necessary as the Boston "T" is so user friendly and also just out your front door. The front desk staff was friendly and eager to help in any way. We had a very early arrival as we flew in from the west coast on a red eye. The guy at the front desk stored our bags, recommended a great place to eat breakfast then called our cellular when a room became available. The room was clean and comfortable but not a luxury suite. Our experience in Boston was certainly enhanced by our stay at the Harborside Inn. I would highly recommend it for its outstanding location and fair price not to mention its friendly staff.
