Other reviews mention the hotel surroundings at night were noisy. This was not our case, even though we stayed over the Memorial Day weekend. Also, no complaints about the A/C in our room as ours worked pretty well. Attention at the front desk could improve but that is "all" the negative stuff we'd bring during our stay. I would highly recommend it. Good value for the money.

Enjoyed the location of the hotel, but the air conditioner did work very well. Asked twice for it to be fixed. It never was. So when we returned to our room at 12:30 that night it was warm. I am sure it wasn't like this in every room, but sure do wish it would have been fixed. It would have made out stay more comfortable.

This place had nothing to do, no news papers, no food, no bar, and most important; a bunch of employees who did not want to help you with anything. The room was an hour late for being ready.

Everything about the hotel was perfect except the room ventilation. The room air conditioner was very noisy and you could not stay in the room without in on. The window doesn't open. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, not good when your sharing a room.

There was a smell in the room that was a cross between mold and cleaner. It was almost as if housekeeping was trying to cover the smell rather than eliminate it. The rooms were not made each day until 4PM or later. The breakfast was wonderful, there was plenty of variety and the biscuits were great. This was indeed the saving grace of the hotel stay.

This hotel has a great location, within walking distance to everything. City Market is just a couple blocks away as is River Walk. I would stay here again without a doubt.

We chose this hotel because of its location near River Street, the City Market, and The Lady & Sons Restaurant in Savannah, and we were not disappointed. There were only minor issues with cleanliness - dirty towels on the floor in the room when we checked in, for instance - but that was easy to overlook. We would definitely choose this hotel again, though we might choose a queen or king room/suite instead of a double next time around.

I was not expecting luxury, but at the very least, a clean comfortable room. Our room was horrible. The beds were totally shot, having visible sags and holes. The room smelled like cigarette smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. The air conditioner was so loud we were unable to sleep with it on. The bathroom fan made a high-pitched squeaking noise. We got no sleep due to these conditions. When I complained at the front desk, I was told there was nothing they could do for me.

Everything was within walking distance - a great location. Front desk staff not very friendly - never greeted anyone as they came or left. The hotel was overbooked and we ended up in a smoking room. (We had reserved non-smoking) It was not too smelly but overall the cleaning could have been better. We found a sinus nose strip left by a previous guest stuff on the toilet paper dispenser - yuck! In general, it seemed liked the whole room could use a good scrubbing. Nice breakfast buffet (included) and the lobby/first floor had great renovations.

The hotel renovation was done on the lobby and the suites only. They are very nice. The rest of the rooms however are unmistakably tired days Inn rooms in need of a update. Front Desk staff were less than helpful at check in. Location is wonderful but do not look for luxury.

Perfect location! The lobby and breakfast rrom are nice - with flat screen tv's. Continental breakfast is great: cereals, waffles, bagels, various pastries, juices, coffee, and biscuits and gravy. Rooms have been recently redecorated, but bathrooms could be cleaner. Overall I recommend this hotel - Unbeatable deal for the location and price! Also, the concierge is quite helpful!

This hotel is in the process of being refurbished, and maybe when all the rooms are done it'll be better. For my trip I stayed in one of the old rooms - worst bed EVER! The bathroom was so dirty my companion was appalled. Housekeeping is so strapped and understaffed, on one day it was nearly 7 pm before all the rooms on our floor were cleaned. Some of the housekeepers were terrific and cleaned up our filthy bathroom when we called to complain, but overall I'd say the place suffers from poor management.

This hotel is located directly across from Savannah's Historic River Street District, just a couple of block from the Market District, and close to Paula Dean's Lady and Sons Restaurant. The service was below average in comparison to some of the other places I've stayed in Savannah. I wasn't to impressed with the overall condition of the hotel, but they are in the process of renovating some areas so the condition of the hotel should improve in the future.

The hotel is small but the location is within walking distance of River shops, restaurants, and tourists location in the historic district. It is convenient to interstate. There is a parking deck for patrons of hotel, a small restaurant, and a trolley tour kiosk outside. Local trolley and tour buses use it as a frequent pickup stop.
