Great value - hotel is comfortable and the complimentary buffet breakfast was great. No problem taking the hotel shuttle back and forth to Secaucus Junction - very little wait times. Once at the Junction, a ten minute train ride gets you to Penn Station and from there you can subway it to your hearts content. My stay worked out very well - only complaint is that the pillows are too light.

We stayed at the Meadowlands for 4 nights and found it to be a very good hotel. The rooms were large (we had a twin double) and certainly big by European standards. There was an iron in the room and the coffee maker was a nice touch. We like beds that are not too soft and the beds they provided were firm but not hard. Breakfast was great and was included - no one could possibly go hungry! The staff were mostly young and initially, I had my reservations about that, but they were all friendly, efficient, helpful and professional. The in-house restaurant was good, but of course you can eat more cheaply in Manhattan if you look around. The shuttle bus was great - we never waited longer than 15 mins after a phone call to the hotel from Secaucus Station. They will also take you to the shopping outlets around the area too - great clothing bargains to be had there! The train ride from Secaucus to Penn Station is literally 10 mins and cost us $3 each way pp. We will stay here again as it is half the price of a comparable hotel in Manhattan.

This hotel was very convenient for our sightseeing in NYC. The train ride is quick and pleasant, the only drawback being the cost and time meant staying in the city all day when it would have been nice to have a break midday. My only complaints would be the beds are not very comfortable and it seems housekeeping throws away bags left on the floor(we found a bag missing that we know was there when we left).

You get what you pay for, the hotel was ok, clean, no frills but well worth the price as compared to others in the area. Good hot breakfast comes with the price of the room which is not advertised and was a nice surprise. If you're not looking for luxury this is a good one.

Room fine for our needs.Bathroom clean.Room located on back of Hotel heard traffic after 7 a.m."Breakfast buffet" fairly limited.Went to Dunkin Donuts, etc all but 2 mornings of 7.If you like scrambled eggs, limp bacon, and bagels it will do fine. We usually fold our dirty clothes, stack them on floor of closet and pack night before we leave. We started putting the clothes in laundry bags & noticed 1/2 our clothes were soaked.Front desk sent maintenance & housekeeping but basically did nothing about leak in the bathroom that came into the closet floor.Asked for them to wash our clothes and were told they could NOT accommodate us.Luckily one of the ladies from housekeeping saw all the soaked clothes and offered to launder them for us.Had them back to us in 45 minutes.Saved us from having mildewed stinking clothes.Had an issue with flushing the toilets.Called for plunger 4 times. They refused to leave one in the bathroom. We started flushing more than once any time we used the restroom and didn't have any further problems.Seemed a bit ridiculous. The staff was mostly friendly. The shuttle drivers would smile but never talked to anyone or asked about our days, etc.Taxi drivers were very friendly.Because we were on a budget this was the best we could do.I would imagine if we hadn't been lucky with the shuttle I would have been less satisfied.

The hotel is not very near the bus station to N.Y., which is my goal of travel. You must walk around 15 mins to the bus stop if you know the direction. But unfortunately you would not know the direction exactly because you can not get the map from the hotel. However, the breakfast is not bad, and the room condition is not bad comparing the price.

This was a great hotel for my trip to NYC! We drove into the city early in the morning and took off to our hotel at night (which was only about a 10 minute drive straight out of a parking garage on Broadway). I called the hotel and they were happy to accomodate our late check in! The hotels were spacious and clean. We easily fit 4 people into one room. The AC worked great and we didn't notice any street noise once we closed the window. The free breakfast bar was great. The staff was polite. We took the free shuttle to the train station. They advise you to call ahead. We had no problems. Overall, everything we could have asked for and more!

This hotel was extremely nice, very clean and very fancy. They had the best continental breakfast I had ever had. The front desk service lacked a little as I watched stood and watched two employees finish a non work conversation before they would assist me knowing that I was waiting. They almost made me feel like I was interupting. The bar and restaurant are top of the line, great food , great service. If you are going to stay here to save money from staying in the big city I would suggest using mass transit because cab fares are very expensive going in and out of New York City. Very nice hotel I will stay their when I go back again.

When they say the shuttle is based on availability, they really mean it! We ended up taking the taxi ($5) to the bus station (which then took us 15-20 minutes to get into Time Square). The hotel served a full breakfast with the room, so that really made it attractive. Also, it was very clean! The price was more reasonable than staying in New York, so if you are on a budget, it is a great place to stay.

This is a very nice hotel. The front desk personnel is very helpful. The hotel has a very nice resturant with a wonderful full breakfast buffet. And the cusine is Italian for dinner. The rooms are a nice comfortable size, there were 3 adults in our room. It's not too far from the outlet malls which the hotel shuttle can take you to. The shuttle will also take you to the train station and for 5.25 round trip you can take the train to Penn Station in NYC and be there within 10minutes. Reasonable rates and a good location. You will enjoy it.

The room was large and clean. The bed was very firm. We were on the eighth floor and could hear the traffic well, but it did not bother our sleep very much. Complimentary hot breakfast was great. Hotel directions to local destinations were bad. We only used the hotel shuttle service once due to warnings from this site about availabilty. Overall it was what we expected, a very nice, convenient hotel for the price. If the bed had been a little more comfortable, I would be hard pressed to complain at all.

Rooms were clean, breakfast was superb, and despite the reservations expressed by some concerning the shuttle service, our family had no problems whatsoever. Overall, this was a very good place from which to experience NYC at a reasonable price for overnight accommodations. The only drawback that we encountered was that the front desk personnal, while most friendly, were no help whatsoever when it came to offering suggestions of any kind about NYC or even the best way to get there. Luckily, other guests whom we befriended in the shuttle or at breakfast made up for the missing information gaps shown by the friendly front-desk personnel.

The hotel is nice but not impressive, service is average and hotel has old facilities. I got an smoking room, kind of smelly. Very good: price and breakfast. Good is that is close to outlets if you want to go shopping. Not close to New York, so even though they have a good shuttle service if you want to stay late in the city, you are stuck and will need a cab which may cost you more than $60!! So, if you really want to see the city and have limited time better stay in Manhattan or even Queens (there is subway to there!)

Good place to go if you plan to visit New York City. Rooms are clean, price is good. However, the rooms are a bit worn, carpets have holes, and comforters a bit threadbare. Hotel does provide a complimentary shuttle within Seacaucus however, if they are out on a corporate run you will have to wait. They go out on lots of corporate runs. If you are not in a hurry it is not a big deal but if you have to be somewhere at a certain time you will need to call a cab. We were not in a hurry but sometimes the wait can be awhile. The good thing is that the shuttle runs 24 hours. It was convenient to take the shuttle to the NJ train station and it was a quick 10 minute ride to New York Penn Station. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good, with the basic breakfast items, eggs, bacon, pancakes. Better than other places that offer only continental breakfasts. We save money on breakfast. Staff at the hotel was a mixed bag some were friendly and helpful others not so much. The main complaint is the availability of the shuttle, it was one of the main reasons I chose this place but it was frustrating at times to go to the shuttle to find it is not available and won't be available for another hour.

The free breakfast for the gold key members was very good. The room is very clean. But the flush in our room wouldnt work, and even after the maintainance guys checked it, it still was the same. I am not sure, if it was our hard luck or is it with every other room. Since we used the room just to crash, we did not find it so hard. The maintainance dept is very good. Overall, I guess it is a good and comfortable hotel to stay, but a little overpriced I would say.
