| There was a wedding on Saturday when we checked in. The reseption was in the pool area.... There was also a teenage birthday party going on in the pool area. Lots of screaming and kid stuff. Also, the pool was ice cold and the hot tub was not in working order. All in all, not really impressed. We went specifically for the pool and hot tub and we couldn't even last longer than 20 minutes. Not worth the money we paid to stay!!! Definately will not be going back to this hotel.

| The hotel was perfect. It was priced right and far exceeded my expectations. It made my vacation relaxing and pleasureable and totally at the base of City Walk right at Universal Studios. It is awsome!

| Hotel rates were good, but food/bars/services/parking were very expensive. I was placed in a smoking room on a smoking floor despite specifically verifying with the front desk clerk that I would be placed in a non-smoking room. There was a seemingly major Japanese dignitary/celebrity arrival during our stay. Consequently, "normal" guests were brushed aside by the surly staff and treated like second class citizens. The throngs of press and admirers were inconvenient and not attended to by staff. Fitness center was moderately good with full compliment of cardio and limited selection of dumbells and the standard hotel issue universal cable weight machine. Business center was a nightmare. I spent 45 minutes trying to print a boarding pass and technical support was not helpful. Room was reasonably comfortable and clean. Mattresses and pillows were very soft (not my preference), but the room was clearly made up fresh each day. Excellent TV channel selection. Room service was slow and expensive but offered a wide selection. Location is excellent if you need to be in the Universal park or Studio City. Many attractions and restaurants including the famous Baked Potato jazz vlub within walking (gasp) distance.

| If you plan to spend a some time @ Universal- this hotel is the best. The views are incredible- we could see fireworks and Universal Studio stunts being performed from our room! Universal is literally a hop, skip and jump away- the jacuzzi and heated pool is a bonus, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The subway is right down the street- providing easy access to the city center and downtown area. The only complaint we had was that the internet service in the room didn't function properly. Other than that- this hotel was a great pick for the price.

| We arrived to a bit of a "mob" scene but despite the crowd we were helped at the curb, and checked in quickly. It was our anniversary and upon mention of this the reception clerk upgraded us to a deluxe room at no charge. Our checkout was extended to 1pm at no additional charge as well. Overall we were very pleased. The only negative was the $16 overnight parking fee.

| From the initial greeting by the doorman to the wonderful staff behind the counter this hotel was a great experience. Terrific buffet, bowl of fresh fruit at the desk for guests and extremely clean and fresh rooms---can I say more. IT WAS TERRIFIC. All this and minutes from Universal. As a matter of reference, you can see Universal from your window...

| The view of the Hollywood Hills from our spacious and comfortable room was delightful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The only complaints we had were that the staff could have been more knowledgeable about the area and maybe a little friendlier. However, I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

| It was a nice place to stay. But our room had no ventilation in the bathroom, so there was mold in the shower area. But overall it was not a bad experience.
