My husband and I decided to go to Chicago for the weekend. We had no idea of what La Quinta would be like, but we tried it out. We were both very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and maintained well. The bed was very comfortable and our room was very quiet. The complimentary breakfast was great and the hotel staff were friendly. I would definately suggest this hotel to others.

Reservations were kept and upheld when I arrived at the hotel. That a plus since I have had online reservations fail (not this site). Staff was nice and courteous to all my needs. Some of the employees didn't know any english it seemed but thankfully not front desk. Asked for directions to a nearby mall...and they printed prepared directions for me to follow that worked. The TV only had like a dozen channels on it...not even good ones. Shuttle staff were helpful and willing to go the extra mile for convenience. Room was clean and comfortable. Mild compliant might be the cigerette burns on the tub surface in the bathroom. Overall, it was a nice and private stay and would easily book one again!

If you don't want to stay in the city, this is a great place to stay. They have free parking and a free shuttle service to the nearest train station (O'hare Airport). From there you buy a $1.75 ticket to downtown. A very cheap way to get there. It takes about 35 minutes from the airport to downtown Chicago. The last hotel shuttle goes at 10.30 PM. Next to the hotel is a Baker's Square, McDonald's and more. Outdoor hotel swimming pool. The room was spacious, king size bed, airco, cable TV, pay TV, spacious bathroom with tub. I read some reviews before about staff being unpolite... None of that. Very friendly, willing to help. There is a highway behind the hotel but I didn't hear much noise at night. Ask for a room on the front side. Breakfast is good. Cereal, danishes, boiled eggs, fresh waffles, toast, bagels, four juices (from machine so not freshly squeezed), coffee, etc. Overall this a very decent, friendly and comfortable hotel with a final score of 8/10.

HOtel sits too close to highway. Noisy hallways. Battery in smoke alarm was dangling from the alarm, told front desk about it, didn't do anything about it. Breakfast was supposed to be from 6 till 10. Went to eat at about 7:00. Most of the breakfast items, likes eggs, bagels, yogurt, were not laid out;were finally served after 8:00. However, hotel is convenient to airport and they provide shuttle service.

The hotel was located within 10 minute drive of the airport....There is a shuttle almoost every hour.. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the room was large.... An ironing board and iron in each room The breakfast had ample variety and you could make your own fresh waffles.... Check out by phone if you had no extra charges after the printing and delivery of your bill in the AM at your door...

The rooms in La Quinta Inn Chicago O'Hare Airport are warm, comfortable and clean. However, my room was noisy (facing a highway). The hotel staff are helpful are courteous. The hotel is fairly close to O'Hare Airport (there are many hotels that are closer to O'Hare but and more expensive). The only problem I had was that this hotel does not have a regular shuttle and you need to call the reception to let them know that you need to be picked up. If you are not American and do not know this in advance, you end up waiting at the airport transportation center for 2 hours!
