| Convenient to downtown. Good continental breakfast. Room was clean and well, like a hotel room. Desk personnel seemed preoccupied, there's a charge for parking, and there was some late night pool noise, would be the only minor negatives during an overnight stay.

| I was a little disappointed with the hotel, but it did come with a nice price. It served its function but that was about it. There are no immediate resturants, no immediate shops or coffee houses. It was about a 6-8 block walk to everything.

| The hotel was nicer than I expected. The room was a great deal. Even the complimentary breakfast bar was good. It was also nice to be so close to so much shopping. I would definatly stay there again.

| The room was fine, except that the shower head was low quality / low flow rate. The continental breakfast is sub-standard. The location is excellent -- just cross the street and you're into Minneapolis's indoor tunnel system. Parking was only $7/day -- a bargain.

| This hotel is located in the downtown area and we found it to be a very convenient location for our sightseeing plans. There is a light rail station which is located 3 blocks from this hotel that took us to the Mall of America on a fare of $1.50 per trip (non rush hour fare). In addition we used this same service for commuting to the airport which again saved us on cab fare or car rental. We were in town for some baseball games and this hotel was only a few blocks from the Metrodome and also close to restaurants and shopping. We found the hotel to be very nice and clean. The continental breakfast was good and the dining area spacious. The indoor pool was clean and in good shape. In the evenings they served chocolate chip cookies which we found to be a nice touch. There were a lot of families staying at this hotel the week end we were here. Overall it is a nice hotel to stay at for the price.

| My first excitement was flushed away by the stale smell in the lobby. The room is clean overall, but the AC is too old to function effectively. Staff is friendly but unhelpful. First, they forgot to call a cab for me at the desigated time. Then, they shipped my package to my home with incomplete address. Till today, I am still battling with UPS for the lost mail and claims...

| We enjoyed our stay at the Normandy. It was clean, convenient, and welcoming. The staff was very gracious and helpful. The location near shopping and the theater district was very good. We were comfortable walking the seven or eight blocks from the Orpheum Theater after the show. We would certainly return to the Normandy again.

| These are an inexpensive way to get right downtown. You have to walk about 6 blocks for a restaurant (or catch a cab). I was able to walk to my business appointment in the morning, saving the usual hassle of finding parking in dowtown Minneapolis.

| This very reasonably priced, clean hotel has a very adequate continental breakfast and the most hassle free parking of any downtown hotel (ground level, just outside the entrance, a window sticker provided at check in). The rooms are really "nice" -- roomy, tidy, fresh smelling. The pool-hot tub area, the exercise room, other amenities are what you'd expect in any good mid-level hotel. The front desk service was a bit pokey and people seemed confused by simple matters but everything turned out just fine.

| Clean quiet hotel. Exceptionaly helpful staff. Yes the hotel is showing its age but as with many structures it still shows its diginity. Easy walking distance from several resturants and bar/pubs and the skyway. Very nice breakfast in very clean eating area. There is a nice reading area next to the lobby with a fireplace. The hot tub is large and clean. Nice pool and patio area. All in all a plesent and relaxing stay.I'll be staying again at the Normandy on my next visit to Minneapolis.

| My sister and I went to Best Western Downtown and I had to walk back to the hotel's front desk twice because our key didn't work. I didn't appreciate that too much, the walk wasn't that close. We didn't even get anything in return for the inconvenience. Besides that we had a great experience.
