| Condo was fine for the price. Not a luxury place. Functional, everything worked, kitchen had everything we needed. Washer and dryer great. Complex is a bit noisy around the pool. No a/c in our room but it was breezy enough at night for comfort. We had to call twice out of 8 days to get the room cleaned and for clean towels. All the other days they came in the morning. The beach across the street is low rent but we had a car and drove to all the nice beaches anyway. Pull out sofa bed was not very comfortable but adeqate. I would stay here again because the location is awesome and it is cheap and everything worked properly.

| This was our second stay in Kamaole and I have to say it was better this time! We got a remodeled unit building 3 room 203, we could see the ocean from our lanai, also the pool, very quiet. It has beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, 3 extras fans. The kitchen was very nice, with everything you may need. They even provide with dishwasher and laundry soap. Rooms were cleaned every day, and each 4 days they would change the sheets, clean the floors (carpet included) kitchen counters, bathrooms and lanai.

| We were very lucky. We got a ground floor condo with all the amenities of our home. In fact the kitchen was actually better than ours...slightly larger with everything imaginable for a kitchen allowing us to cook anything we desired. The bathrooms were large and the dining room area was also spacious. The original room specs did not mention how many things were in our unit. We had everything we needed which saved us some money. Our unit even provided boogie boards and snorkeling equipment! Decor was germaine to Hawaii. We often walked to the beach across the street to surf and swim. Nothing was "hotelish or motelish"...thank God. We got more for our money than we expected.

| The hotel in general was wonderful. Housekeeper comes in everyday to straighten out. The kitchen and washer/dryer are so convenient, especially if you want to save some $$. The pool is nice and so is the bbq area. The only down fall of it, was that the ladies at the reception desk were not all that courteous and the tour desk lady was not all that specific. We had to ask where to go, she didn't really recommend places.

| We went to this resort on our honeymoon. Overall the property was pretty nice. The Expedia concierge was WONDERFUL. But...our bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Our toilet leaked the whole time we were there (even though we made several calls to maintenance on it). The room needed to be painted and felt very "lived in" like we were in someone's house. I think the property is probably fairly old. The front desk people were okay to deal with. Overall we probably wouldn't not stay at this resort again in the future.

Next day would show up at 9:30 AM and told that we would be leaving in 30 min returned at 2:00 PM and room was not made. The bed room was on the opisist end of the air conditioning so bed room was warm and bed room window was facing the elevator so could not open the window at night for air to move trough the room. One day the room was not made at all.

| My boyfriend and I stayed for 11 nights and found our unit to be clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and we enjoyed the convenience of eating in when we wanted to(we also barbecued!). The a/c unit is in the LR, but if you leave it on at night with the ceiling fans going, it stays pretty comfortable in the BR. The unit was equipped with a dishwasher and washer/dryer unit (including detergents), so I'm not sure how anyone can complain about maid service. There was a maid who came everyday to replenish paper products, and detergents if needed. If you are a 5 star person in need of pampering, then choose more appropriate accomodations. The location is convenient to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, etc. Nothing is too far of a drive. Be sure to ask about happy hour specials when going out. We did some of the activities, including horseback riding and snorkeling (both were excellent!), and then other things we did on our own, such as the drive to Hana, and Mt Haleakala for sunrise. If you like to adventure on your own, it is quite easy to do if you plan and get an early start to avoid traffic. If you enjoy a good bottle of wine, don't miss the winery (the countryside is beautiful!). Iao Park is also worth checking out and is somewhat close. If you are down to earth and low maintenance, you will enjoy your stay here. We wouldn't have any problem coming back!

| The place was pretty nice. Not extravagent, but it was comfortable. We stayed for 8 days, 9 nights. Housekeeping showed up in the afternoon while we were out doing things. Bedroom was okay. Queen bed, no tv in bedroom. Small tv in living room, but with good cable. Two bathrooms were nice. Room had private Lanai that overlooked the garden. Very nice! Kamole 3 beach is right across the street, and is a nice beach for swimming. Not so great for snorkrling, but we did see sea turtles off the shore. Beach is usually not too crowded. Located in Kihei, it's a little less commercial than say Lahiana or Kaanapali, but that's what we were looking for. I'm sure there are nicer places to stay on the island, btu at the price we paid, you probably won't get a better deal.

| This was our first trip to Maui and after reading some of the negative reviews I was slightly apprehensive about what to expect from the accomodations. Overall we were very satisfied. I highly recommend this place for families. The rooms are large and comfortable. We never once felt crammed in together. The only downside was the marginal cleaning efforts. We ended up buying cleaning items and cleaning the restrooms ourselves.

| The condo complex is huge; our unit location was the best, in bldg. 10, closest to the beach, and on the first floor. I had called ahead to request it. If more privacy is desired, a second or third floor unit would be preferable. A busy road runs between the condo and the beach, and it could be noisy at times. The unit was clean and nicely furnished. Two bathrooms are always a bonus in a one-bedroom unit. Towel service was sporadic; sometimes we didn't get everything we needed. A rental car is necessary to get to shopping and restaurants. Fancier hotels are certainly available on the island--no doubt at a much higher cost. But we liked having the comfort and convenience of a full condo unit. Would recommend it to almost anyone, unless you're looking for a luxury hotel experience.

| This place allows you to have a low budget vacation in Maui, so don't expect a tropical paradise experience. If you don't plan on being in the room much, this could work. The nearby beaches are beautiful along with the rest of the island. Our family would recommend paying slightly more and finding other hotel or condo accommodations.

| The grounds were beautiful. The location was great. The pool was wonderful. However, having a first floor unit stunk. The problem began when someone in one of the upper floor units decided to wash clothes and our toilets overflowed with soapsuds. We never knew when we walked into our bathrooms if the floor would be wet or dry. I recommend one of the upper floors not a ground floor unit.

| We really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is across the street from a very nice beach and a great place to walk along the beach for miles (there is a pathway along the beach area which actually crosses other beachfront hotels). When we got there the room was very clean and the maid service came daily just to make the bed and check towels. I read where other people thought the maid service wasn't good but I think they just expected her to do their dirty dishes? This is a condo and you have to clean your own dishes. Other than that the staff was very friendly and the place was very pretty. The only negative I would say is that it is true that the a/c is in the livingroom and the bedroom is a long way down the hall from there and just has a fan to pull the air through so I did get warm at night some.

| This is our second trip to Castle Kamaole Sands and we enjoyed our stay here again. With the shorter stay they upgraded us to a two bedroom condo. It was remodeled compared to our first stay and still a view of the ocean from the balcony. It was extremely spacious which was good for our little one to crawl around the room. If you want to go to the pool I found it to be extremely crowded, but I would think most people are there to go to the beach anyways. The two activity desks the employees working seemed ready to answer any questions on activities or places to eat. I would recommend staying here as you will recieve a quality room for the price you will pay.
