| The Princeville is the perfect sized hotel. At first glance it seems huge, but it's just big enough to offer you all the amenities you need, but small enough that you can get some personal service. The rooms are really nice and quite big and they all have a view of the ocean. The hotel is great for couples, but not so great for families. There aren't too many activities offered for kids. But for adults, I would recommend the ocean kayaking - it was a lot of fun! The food and drinks at their pool restaurant were really great, and their lounge was a nice spot to have some pre-dinner drinks and watch the sunset or play cards. I really should stress that the hotel makes the best drinks on the island!! But, other than the pool restaurant, we found the food there to just be so-so. I would suggest going into the town of Hanalei for dinner instead of staying at the hotel. Overall we thought the Princeville was great. Very quiet and relaxing.

| one of the most beautiful natural sites to be experienced while at a hotel.hamburger lunch at pool was excellent.staff were very courteous.1) major problem with swimming pool - water is not heated - it is even very cold - observe that very few people enter the pool twice - but do bathe in the sun around the pool.2) evening food was dreadful, therefore ate at other restaurants nearby - expense only justified if quality is high - evening laua(?) was a very very bad buffet. 3) given the price of the hotel, it seems excessive to charge $15 per day for parking if one does not use the valet service.4) television color was not tuned - even after request - and there were very few channels - perhaps true for the whole island? In summary: heat the pool and change the chef - and then we will return.

| Great hotel, but rainy weather on the north shore. If you want the sun, this is not the best location.

| The Princeville Hotel offered everything you would want in a five star accommodation. The location is in Kauai's northern most region and offers patrons an opportunity to relax away from the more heavily visited areas of the island.
