| Charming older hotel, the perfect location in La Jolla, without breaking the bank. Very comfortable, down comforters and pillows, Aveda toiletries and beautiful ocean view! It is must to upgrade to the oceanview rooms.

| Was only there for one night, but I was impressed with the service and cleanliness. My room was a nice suite in a building separate from the main hotel. I was not able to take advantage of any hotel amenities, as I was leaving at 5 AM the following morning. Would like to go back and spend more time there.

| If you want to enjoy La Jolla, you could not find a better location to enjoy it from than this hotel. Right in the middle of everything, from shopping to the ocean. The staff was very friendly, especially the doormen who always asked us if we needed directions everytime they brought the car around.

| This is very nice elegant older building. Our room was plenty large, suite-style, with a walk in closet (!). Windows actually open. Nice pool outside (didn't use). The bed was very comfortable, and they turn down the bed every evening (like a B&B). Location is great, in the heart of La Jolla, next to shopping and restaurants. The shopping is mostly boutique type shops. Note: Parking will cost you $16/day (valet style). There is not a lot of other parking available. From the hotel you can walk to the La Jolla caves (didn't go) or the Seal beach (where seals sunbathe) or regular beaches/parks. We were debating whether to stay downtown or in La Jolla, and overall we were very pleased staying in La Jolla. It's only about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown.
