| My stay was very comfortable. We had to ask 2 different people for a coffee pot in our room. There was a charge for parking our car which I didn't know about.Conveniently located. We switched rooms, originally I requested a king size bed and was given two double beds.Overall I was happy with our stay here.

| The "beach" towels were very small and they were a bit stingy in providing more when asked. The desk clerks were not very friendly. The pool and hot tub seemed to be used heavily by locals. The water in hot tub looked murky and unappetizing. The excess foaming chemical bubbles in the hot tub were indicative of un over-treated, yet unsavory environment.

| The view from the room and the private beach downstairs are fantastic. It is also only a short walk away from the restaurants and shops on Alkii drive. There is also an ABC store right in the hotel for incidental stuff. The room was clean though a little old.

| The King Kam is a little worn around the edges, with visible spills on the carpet and broken ice machines, but it's in a great location and is a great bargain. It's smack in the middle of Kona, so a little walk gets you downtown to all the shops. A breakfast or other meal can be had at local supermarkets, if you want to cut costs. The rooms aren't great, but they're certainly comfortable and well kept.

| Although the hotel is quite dated and threadbare, we continue to stay there because of its location: on the beach, and smack in the middle of Kailua, within 3 blocks of everything. Also, they have a large, nice pool, and provide a good buffet breakfast. We've stayed there 4 or 5 times, and we'll continue to do so.

| The King Kam is not a bad place to stay for a night, but I wouldn't recommend it for a vacation. It was very crowded. I had to wait a long time on line to check in and check out. The "garden view" room looked out over the garbage, a parking lot and some tennis courts. Not exactly a garden. If you want a peaceful holiday in paradise, this is not the place.
