| Although I asked for a non-smoking room, my room had been used by smokers. Since I arrived late, I didn't feel like complaining. This was a mistake. The smoke smell disappeared after opening the window for a day. However, the wet spot in the corner of the room started to stink like you know what. Try to imagine complaining about that after spending the night. This was not a clean room and I was very happy to leave the hotel. The food in the hotel's restaurant is very good. Overall, the comfort in the hotel is very good.

The room was clean and neat and desk personnel was very friendly. the parking was a bit strange. more than half the parking was reserved for another hotel. Over all it was a ok place but I would not stay there again for the price that I paid. I give it a 2 stars

| Nice location. 1 1/2 blocks to metro stops and to Dundas square. Parking is expensive ($19 self park, $24 Valet). Don't get things from the Minibar - small bottle of water was $4.60 Canadian. You can get these from the local stores. Room was kind of small but nice location. I would definitely stay here again.

| This is a very elegant and, at the same time, extremely friendly place to stay. If you can, ask for a room with an outstanding view of the CN tower and the Toronto islands. The location is perfect to easily reach all the major attractions in town with just a brief walking. In the heart of Toronto, you can really feel at home although on vacation, either while enjoining the view from your room or the nice fitness centre and the lovely pool.

| The hotel is located at the stop near the airport express. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the center of toronto. However, the room is rather small and the furniture rather old. The room I stayed in had no internet connection or LAN line. The TV was rather small and the chair was very uncomfortable espescially if you had to do work at the desk. The cusion was all sunken and worn. The hotel does not have much of a view and it faces another apartment block.

| A good location at a good price. It's not necessary to pay more to be any closer to downtown. This hotel is close enough to walk to just about any major attraction in the downtown area and is a short cab ride to just about everything. We were able to walk to Castle Loma in about 45 mins at a leisurly pace. The restaurants inside the Hotel are super expensive but there are many good places to eat all around the area for cheaper and Dim-Sum joints all around the Hotel. The Mattress was a bit mushy and bothered my back, but otherwise the room was comfortable and clean.

| We had our honeymoon in Toronto and stayed at the Metropolitan hotel. It was an excellent choice. The location and the staff service was excellent. For such a great hotel, we got a great price through Expedia. Note that the basement parking could be tricky if you are not a skilled driver. Paying extra $5/day for the valet parking is well worth it.

It was a long night. The next morning the hotel staff treated it like business as usual.

| This hotel was the worst hotel that I ever stayed at which I canceled the rest of my stay and moved to another hotel. Guest services was not professional or accomadating at all. The concierge on duty at the time was extremely rude. Why? Because when we arrived at 1:30pm, the room was not going to be ready until after 3:00pm so we went into the hotel restaurant. The clerk asked the concierge to take our bags to put into a closet, the concierge then proceeded to tell us to bring our bags to him, which we did. Now tell me ... why should I have to tip him for me to bring my bags to him. Well he was not happy that we didn't tip him and therefore left our bags in the lobbying of the hotel. When he saw that we were waiting for him to put our bags away, he then proceeded to "throw" our bags into the room. When our rooms were finally ready, this same individual, was called by the clerk to retrieve our bags. He decided to have a temporary loss of earing. Next, when I finally got into my room and was unpacking and undressing, an employee of the hotel decided NOT to knock and open my door to come into my room to check the "mini bar" from the last guest. After this, it was decided that this was not a safe and friendly hotel at all.

| I had some difficulty locating the hotel as this was my first trip to Toronto. However, once found, the hotel was well appointed, clean and up-to-date. Our room was quiet, albeit on the small side. The bumped out window was a nice design touch in that it made the room seem larger. The below level parking garage was challenging to navigate. On one evening, we obtained the last space in the garage, although several handicapped spaces were empty. Overall, I was quite pleased with the accomodations.

| This hotel was rated 4-1/2 stars on Expedia--just short of 5. Usually that means luxurious. Not here. What you get is a nice hotel with a lot of services and some good restaurants. The location is okay. If you are willing to take the subway, there's a station right around the corner, and the streetcar passes right by too. Walkers will find the Metropoliton convenient to the Art Gallery of Ontario, several restaurants on Elm Street, and shopping at the Eaton Center. We ate dim sum at Lai Wah Heen was truly delicious, but the service at both the hotel's restaurants was quirky--long waits for service, refills on water, etc. In fact, we found all the Toronto restaurants seem to have spotty service. The room was a little run down, but clean and tidy. Walls were thin, especially between us and the room adjoining ours. The ice machine at the end of the hall emitted a constant loud droning noise that would have been annoying had it not helped block out noise from the adjacent rooms. And the room had a queen sized bed, even though a king would fit.The staff was pleasant and accomodating. We recommend this hotel simply because it was adequate for the deal we got, and we have nothing better to compare it to since this was our first stay in Toronto.

And don't get me started on the closet - one of those that's so shallow they've had to mount two short hang-bars protruding OUT from the wall so your hangers are flat against the wall.
