I and my husband went on a much neede vacation to the montreal jazz festivel. We loved the service, and the room service late night meal was great. The decor was a little antquaited, and the hotel bar was over priced and dull. But you can walk right around the corner for eateries that have lots of "flavor".

The Omni Mont-Royal Hotel was wonderful, we have a huge king room with sitting area. We had never been to Montreal before and the staff at the hotel was very accomidating with suggestions and directions. The hotel was with in walking distance to metro (subway) and in a nice part of the city. Next time in Montreal I would stay here again.

The hotel was more than we expected. Not only was it beautifully furnished, but the room was very large and comfortable and included everything a person would need. One couldn't ask for a better location. We walked to the underground city, the bar-restaurant area, and to the location where we met our bus tour. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and always available. One even offered to take our photo so we could have one together!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff is friendly and eager to assist you. The hotel is a little old but it adds to the charm. Our room was quiet and peaceful with a huge bathroom. Guest services staff and concierge were all awesome! I rarely write letters to corporate offices but I did after this stay to commend the hotel on a job well done!!!

The first room had not been cleaned at all and we found a pair of dirty socks on the floor next to the bed upon arrival. When we asked for a key to the safe, we had to call twice to check on the status of our request, only to be given a rude answer that help was on its way. Eventually maintenance showed up and told us that they cannot fix the safe. The next day we changed rooms but, since not rooms were immediately available, were told to leave our luggage in the old room. Contrary to what was promised, our bags had not been moved from the old room to the new room. We also had to ask for a replacement umbrella and for the key to the safe. One of the few positive issues was the food, which was better than we expected.

The Omni is a good hotel. It's actually a former Four Seasons property. However the hotel needs some serious updating. The couches, and other furniture in the room is very outdated. There is also a stale smell on some floors. Otherwise everything else is fine...staff, room sizes, etc. A coffee machine would be nice in the rooms. It's a standard feature in most places. However the free wireless internet was great. Location is also very good. Right across from McGill Univ and 2 blocks from St. Catherine.

The room we were given was clean and comfortable although the television was located in an inconvenient spot. The bed was soft and the pillows fluffy. At times the concierge desk was helpful but for the most part it was cold, unfriendly and not eager to provide service outside of giving maps of local attractions. The doormen were inconsistent; we arrived early in the week and were greeted by a very friendly doorman but later that week, were stuck with a doorman who wouldnt open the door for us (this includes the day we left with quite a few bags) and who never said hello to us once. The hotel does not have parking on its premises and you will have to pay to park you car in a garage right next to it for a daily fee. You can also leave your car on the street and use a meter but either choice is a little inconvenient. The location of the hotel was great and was close to everything. Montreal is a great city to visit (although a little too image and style conscious for our tastes) there are a ton of shops near the hotel, the location would definitely please those who love fashion, style and shopping. There are also great restaurants all around with reasonable prices and a wonderful ambiance. Aside from an unfriendly concierge desk, doorman and a few other quirks, it would be fair to say that the stay at this hotel was good but could have been a whole lot better with a more professional and courteous staff.

It certainly is not a new hotel by any stretch but at the right price, it has great value!

The Omni is well placed just three blocks away from the Museum of Fine Arts on Sherbrooke Street. The side-street before the Museum is called Crescent Street where a multitude of restuarants (all different international styles) and night clubs are located. The hotel itself has a restaurant and bar with a limited french menu. I was surprised that the television channels were very limited. I was also surprised that there was no light switch for the entire room (you had to turn on and off each lamp individually on their base). However, overall the hotel was clean and well run. The conceirge was able to accomodate my requests. Also each room has an umbrella and bathrobe (which are not to be taken home without a charge). Due to it's close proximity (walking distance) to many resutarants, stores and nightlife, as well as the Metro system with its Underground city this is a very good, clean and sensitive hotel.

Good hotel for reasonable cost through Expedia.com. Room is clean and comfortable. Bad thing of it is self-parking: a door-man taught me wrong direction of self-parking. After parking, I asked the concierge about it. His reaction against it was also not good (he also gave me wrong information but he didn't apologized for it).

While searching for hotels in Montreal, found an amazing deal through Expedia that made this 4 star hotel less expensive than even most of the chain motels. Had to take it. The hotel is in a wonderful area- plenty to do in the Sherbrooke neighborhood, and very close to the Metro. Not only the concierge, but every employee I interacted with went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I enjoyed my visit so much I've already booked a second trip.

We were immediately greeted by the doorman. We checked in and was told there were parking options (local parking garages) but that the valet was the best ($26 Canadian). We opted for that and were VERY pleased at how fast the car was brought around every time we called. The car was warm as they park in an underground heated parking garage. All of the staff was gracious and helpful. The room was very quiet considering it was just before New Year's eve.

The rate from Expedia was so low I couldn't resist choosing The Omni. Very satisfied with my stay. I arrived in town very early(7AM)after traveling all night and was given a room right away. The room had a lousey view and was smaller than I expected - but I was too tired to do anything but fall into bed and get a few hours sleep. Later that day I mentioned to the front desk that I was hoping for a room with a better view they HAPPILY offered me another room (much bigger) with an awesome view. The location was perfect.

Hotels in Montreal tend to be expensive - I got a great deal on this one, and was impressed. The entire place was spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly, and everything just worked the way it should. The location is also very convenient to public transit and museums, and there are tons of restaurants within a short walking distance.
