This hotel has a lot of activities for the kids, every half hour at the pool. Some included a fee, but most were free. Both the beach and the pool were great. The staff went out of their way to be friendly, always making jokes with the kids when they saw them. Our room looked out over downtown Ft. Lauderdale, and it was a very pretty view. The walk along AIA is nice and you can get to many restaurants within a few miles.

This is a very nice hotel, right on the water. I had a very nice meal in their restaurant. The spa was nice, however their practioners need a little more training. I think the fact that you have to tip up front eliminates some of their motivation. The beach is beautiful and well maintained. They staff is excellent!

This hotel was great. You HAVE to try one of their pina coladas. My girlfriend and I both said it was the best we ever had. Some other reviewers say the prices are high. The hotel food isn't any more expensive than any nice hotel. You can have a quesadilla on the beach for $11. We are already talking about going back.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Great service from friendly employees from every department and at any time of day. Great seafood restaurant, bar and music, no need to leave. Private beach with all of the water sports you could ask for, tennis, basketball facilities with full service cabanas for rental. The best Mojitio ever. The spa is wonderful as is the salon. We tried almost every amenitiy they offered. Great for families, couples, groups. Would definetly go back again.

It was a beautiful hotel, but you can't afford to eat there! They should have a list of their prices online when making reservations, you would not believe....$9 for a hot dog!! Sure its a nice place to stay at if you're rich! Have to agree with another review, the bed was the best ever, wish I could have brought it home with me.

We stayed there during hurricane Katrina. They had backup generators when 1,000,000 others were without power. The locals were coming in to hang out in the bar while we had an awesome four star meal in 3030 Oceans. They serve some of the finest food you will find anywhere. Although a hurricane was outside, the quality of the service inside remained top shelf. Truly impressive and a tribute to the preparation for care and service that this facility has to offer. We will always be staying here when staying in Ft. Lauderdale.

This hotel was a last minute pick as i was rained out of our "other hurricane hotel" - we were more than satisfied - the hotel was a superb location with not too much traffic - we didn't know you had to pay for parking - but that was ok - as we had valet as well - room service was excellent and so was the room - we had an excellent view of the harbor on the 15th floor - a great getaway for couples - but we took our daughter - she had a good time too with the beach amenities

If you are an adult, indulge at the SPA pool, you have to pay 30$ extra, but well worth it to be away from the noise. Staff is extremely helpful and caters to you, but be ready to spend. We didn't have a pool bill under $200 each day.

A really great self contained resort. Great private beach area with lots of water sport options- bar/food service on the beach. Awesome pool with all the amenities. Full service spa and enjoyable breakfast buffet. 3030 restaurant was fabulous. Great views from every direction. Only $10 cab ride to and from the airport, super close to all the hot spots. Had a really great long weekend.

The hotel was very nice. It was affordable because I booked it through Expedia as a package deal. However, once I got there, I felt poor. I could not afford to eat at their restaurants. It would have been nice if they had some lower priced things for "the other half".

we stayed in a standard room with a city view. our room was very clean with maid service in the morning and evening turn-down. the bed was extremely comfortable and clean. they even brought up a microwave when we requested it without a service charge. the standard room had a mini-bar, safe, television, complimentary coffee w/ coffeemaker, wireless keyboard to surf the net through your television. there is a business center where you can print signs or make xeroxes etc. with two cubicles for internet access (this has a fee of course). you can also bring your own laptop and access the internet in your room (fee). the restaurants were a little pricey but served pretty decent sized portions. the hotel has it's own private beach where you can order your drinks right from your lounge chair or cabana from a circulating waiter. i had a blast just laying on the beach. the pool was beautiful (and clean :) ). lots of daily activities for kids (arts and crafts, games etc). a very lively place on the weekends. i really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone. the one drawback is, and if i understand correctly, if you order room service or have some spa treatment or other service, there is a 20% service charge tacked onto the total cost. besides that, i absolutely loved this hotel!

Expedia's rate was amazing! All the amenities you would expect in a 5 star resort! Be careful on the price of the extras: food, beach umbrella, tennis courts, etc. We had a package with two free buffet breakfasts which helped on food costs. It was a great place to take the family! Definitely will go back some day.

The Marriott Harbor Beach Resort was truly a real resort. The beach is beautiful, the pool wonderful, the people were friendly and helpful and the overall experience resulted in a great vacation. The only problem was a minor one in that the minibar in our room wasn't working and had food in it that had gone bad and it took them 2 days to come up to fix it.
