The location of the hotel is great! The people are very friendly! Didn't like the hours of the shuttle bus for the attractions. It is best to have your own transportation. My children enjoyed the pools. If you are looking to stay in your rooms for hours at a time, pick another hotel (no cable!!) If the purpose of the stay is to visit attractions..great place, if purpose is other, I recommend another place.

This is a good hotel if you want a clean room, close to Disney World. We had a large king bed, and view of the small lake and mini-golf. I had requested a king size bed. This was an upgrade and we were given it at no extra charge. I don't know if it was because they needed all the doubles due to high season and kids....but it was very nice of them. Rooms are dated, but clean. If you want to spend a lot of time at your hotel, this isn't it. But if you need a clean hotel with a frig. it's great. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance and 5 min. from Disney World. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel is ok if you are planning to stay all day in the theme parks and just getting to the room to crash watching some movie. I chose this hotel as it is 10 min to disney and 15-20 min to universal and seaworld. The shuttle is there if you want to use it but the time table is not very accurate. In general the room is ok without anything fancy. The best thing is a powerful air conditioner and a fridge. The shower looks a bit dirty as well as the carpet so I would recommend using flip flops just in case. The mattresses are too soft for my preference. Expect to see a bed or two, dirty carpet, tiny tv, powerful air conditioner, small fridge for beer or milk, a tiny shower with rust but plenty of water. In general I guess I could have chosen a fancier hotel but I would enjoyed it as well as this one. A good thing too is that you have a mini market next to the lobby to get some food and a room with video games. In general you get what you pay for, it suits families traveling in a budget who rather spend the money buying souvenirs than in expensive hotels with clean carpets.

I thought the overall condition of the hotel was satisfactory, the room was cleaned daily and stocked with clean towels. The pool area was nice, we spent a lot of time there my daughter loved it, it also had an outdoor snack bar, with a regular bar as well. The room was a little smal but adequate. I would stay again because the price was reasonable, and it was located near all the Disney theme parks.

Saturday, May 20. Me, husband, & son (3). Last minute trip from Tampa to Disney for 2 days using our annual passes. We were pleasantly surprised. It was fresh, comfortable, and clean. Disney was super close, 10 minutes to the Parks. Lots of onsite & nearby dining. Pool and common areas were attractive with lush tropical landscaping and pool areas. Parking areas looked a bit neglected. Our room seemed newly renovated. It was fresh and attractive. Loved the mini fridge. Used the table and chairs to eat several times. Bathroom was nice. New granite countertop with under mounted sink and new ceramic floor tiles. While soaking in the shower/tub, I noticed some small amounts of mold on the underside of the grab bar and soap dish. Not enough bother me, I have the same problem in my home in Florida. The safe next to the AC by the window was huge. Hotel includes a convenience store coupled with an Pizza Hut express. We ordered a pizza one night from the room and walked over to get it. I was ready in 15 minutes. Loved having an easy relaxing dinner. We had the hotel breakfast buffet ($6.95, kids eat free w/ paying adult). Overall the food was OK. It was what I expected. But it was great to have fast, hot food and some protein for breakfast rather than granola bars.

I took my son (5) and stayed here. For the low price and how much time we wanted to stay actually at the hotel, I think it was a GREAT value for us. It is great to travel in style but this hotel surpassed our expectations for the type of facility. We stayed onsite for the first day because there was so much for us to do...mini-golf, game room, swimming pools, playground and the other days, it became a place to shower and sleep. It was very centrally located to places to grab convenience stuff that next time I won't buy and pack certain items (juice, water, snacks). Also having the refrigerator, coffee maker, iron with board and cable tv were nice amenities that you often to receive in some of these types of hotels. All-in-all I would utilize the hotel again.

Stayed at this hotel because of the rates and the location. The hotel is older and rooms are used, but as clean as they can be. No room service or anything special.Depending on what building your in you may have to take a hike to the main lobby for food. One good thing about this hotel is that it accomodates kids, playgrounds and kid pools spread around and a hotel buffet for meals. The area around the hotel is great! Lots of food, stores and activities. Short drive to Disnay and airport.

The hotel was good for the great price. It has a lot. # pools, putt putt and restaurants on location. The downside is if you're using their complimentary shuttle, it takes about an hour each way to get to universal studios and they only have one departure time of 7:45 am and one return time of 6:40 pm. So if you don't want to get up early or miss the night attractions at universal studios, stay somewhere closer that has more shuttle times. Also, the room that we stayed in the tub drained extremely slow, so by the time I was done with my shower, the tub was literally half filled. Tip: take advantage of the 90 minute tours they offer. They will take you to the theme parks, give you free breakfast and free tickets to water parks or discounted theme park tickets up to $70.00.

We only stayed one night here, but it was a very nice place. The only "surprise" was the $3.50 per night resort fee which we had to pay upon checkin. And the maid service was at our door at 8:45 AM wanting to clean the room even though we were checking out that day. We had to turn them away twice! Otherwise, the hotel was very nice.

The hotel is close to a lot of theme parks, restaurants and an outlet mall. The room was clean and inviting after a tiring day at the park. They have free shuttle service for the theme parks (one for going and one for coming) at specific times which may not be convenient it you had like to reach at park opening or stay till park closing, I would recommend renting a car. The hotel has a pizza hut express within the premises. I had forgotten my cell phone charger in the room at check out, the hotel staff was helpful in getting it back. I would recommend this hotel because of proximity, cleanliness and value for money.

If you're going to Orlando to see the attractions and need a good, servicable hotel, this will fit the bill. It has nice, but aging, ammenities - such as pools, playgrounds, minigolf and onsite restaurants. Food at the restaurants was good and a good value. If you're looking for a resort to hang out at all day and be the center of your vacation, you may be underwhelmed.

Best Western Lakeside is a great deal for it's price and location. Located in Kissimmee, it is only minutes (literally!) from Disney and not much farther than that from Universal. We stayed a total of 3 days...1 day before a cruise and 2 days after. This hotel is nothing fancy, but was clean, comfortable, and the service was prompt and friendly. We didn't use the pools or mini-golf but they looked nice. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a good base for their FL vacation.

We've stayed at this hotel many times going back to when it was owned by another chain. The best features are easy access to rooms, multiple pools, and having a Walgreens right there on the property. Overall this property is a nice place to stay if you are looking a clean place to relax with good pools, and ease of getting to the parks.
